  • If you are looking for a vendor who: 1) Says that your bridesmaid was “pestering and distracting” when she asks questions—then places blame on her for their videographer flirting with her while on the clock 2) Includes shots in your wedding feature that you specifically stated you DID NOT want included (causing a three-week delay before you get a re-edited feature) 3) Sends your hard-drive late because of their own error (see point #2)… and said hard drive being sent to you missing nearly the whole reception (speeches, dances, cake cutting, garter toss…) 4) Is the only vendor that causes you trouble and issues up to almost three months after your wedding 5) Has an incredibly unscrupulous general manager who repeatedly gives you shady answers about (a) whether or not they sent a videography intern to film your wedding; and (b) the first hard sent to you being “corrupted” when their admin said in a previous call that they didn’t know what happened because they have...     Hi Crispina, We want to congratulate you on your big day and thank you for your feedback. While we are sorry to hear that you feel that your experience wasn’t all you expected it to be, we would like to take some time and respond to your concerns. You mentioned that our professionalism was a concern and it’s important to us that we get this area correct. We took time to best understand the situation with your concerns in mind. Here are the observations we made. You can clearly see the lead videographer explaining a feature of the camera to your bridesmaid, after she had been asking him throughout the day about it. The shooter at the time choose to represent us best by not avoiding your bridesmaids questions in order to avoid a situation becoming potentially confrontational, which is a position neither we want or want to put you in. We definitely understand your concern of our team members flirting with your guests. Our videographer chose in the best interest of you and your guests to be polite to your bridesmaid and then moving on to what he was there for. We do want to thank you for bringing this to our attention and it is certainly important to us that this is right and we have a perspective to help in improve what we do. This also happened while they bridal party was taking a break, so the agreed on and important parts were not missed. As far as your other concerns, we want to address and shed more light on those as well. 1) We had a final detail’s meeting a few weeks out from your wedding day, during your final details meeting, we go over all the details of your wedding day, including the RAW footage, as well as any restrictions to us filming and/or the highlight film. We also have a questionnaire that we go over where it specifically asks the question of any restrictions. We did review all the documents mentioned above and there was no information provided to keep out certain scenes. Once we were aware of those restrictions, we were more than happy to re-edit the film to take that part out, at no additional cost. It does take time to re-edit. Once the re-edits were completed, we sent everything over for your approval. When you approved and confirmed you were happy with the highlight video, we sent out all your RAW footage. We send it out as soon as you approve the video. As far as the missing footage, we determined it to be corrupted and sent out a replacement as soon as we were aware of the problem. This brings us to the footage of the father of the groom’s speech and groomsmen dance. The RAW footage is defined as footage shot as it were, raw and un edited. This footage is what we use to comprise your final video both in the highlight and documentary feature films. Over the years, couples have asked us for the original footage as they want to see it as a behind the scenes perspective and view those moments as candid and important to them... so we now offer with the intent of telling couples that this footage is used to create the final product. There are times a shooter may adjust their settings and/or angles as outside influences, such as photographers and other vendors, can interfere. The footage of the before mentioned were complete, however in clips that made up the event. There was no missing footage missing and we combined the clips together for you because we wanted you to be happy with every aspect of your experience here at Yours Truly Media. Last but not least, we would like to address your concern about one of our videographers being an intern. While we do have an internship program, the program didn’t start until February, a month after your wedding, and if we were to include an intern, it would be in addition to the team filming your wedding, as we wouldn’t do anything to compromise capturing your wedding day. We do take any and all feedback to make sure we’re the best at what we do, as we want to make sure your day is the best and you have the peace of mind that we will capture every aspect of your wedding day.   • I hate to give a less than glowing review but I'd hate for another bride and groom to have the experience we had with Yours Truly Media. The process of booking was relatively smooth but everything after that went downhill. We chose to book YTM as just a videographer simply because we wanted to have professional footage of our special day. We really didn't care about a fancy instagram video so figured that the less expensive rate would be fine. They claimed that 6 hours would be enough but then low and behold, 2 weeks before our wedding it simply 'wasn't enough' and they really needed 2 more hours to capture everything we had originally requested. We felt manipulated into paying $500 more just so they could capture the things they said they'd capture originally. Our only request of the on-site team was that the videographers defer to our photographer for any and all direction as she was the one running the show.     Hi Erica, We are so sorry to hear that you feel your experience here at Yours Truly Media wasn’t an amazing one. The last thing we ever want is any of our couples to feel is less than satisfied and happy about our time working together. While we are sincerely sorry for your experience, we did want to address your concerns. You mentioned that you felt “manipulated” into purchasing additional filming time to cover your wedding. As in your case and with every couple the books with Yours Truly Media, we have a final Consultation in order to assure that the package you have chosen in your original booking is in line with what you requested. While we do make every effort on our end to capture everything you are wanting within the hours of your initially selected package, when a timeline is extended sometimes that is not able to happen without adding some extra time. This unfortunately was the case when we completed our final consultation with you and reviewed your final timeline. Since you, as well as our team, wanted to make sure nothing was missed we did advise that more hours added would be best to ensure we could capture every important detail of your day. These additional hours were definitely not required, but a recommendation to ensure you had the coverage needed to which you agreed to adding on. As far as the details of working with your photographer, we do typically allow the photographer to take lead, as we capture similar things, just in a different way. However, there are times that as a videographer we do need different angles, movements, etc. than what the photographer is capturing to ensure you receive a cinematic video of your big day. We do everything we can to avoid being in any other photographer or videographer’s shots, but unfortunately cross shooting can sometimes happen, for both us and the other team. This is definitely where editing comes into play on both ends, as well as the photographers and videographer’s mobility. With the nature of weddings there are times we may not hear what the photographer is asking, or we’re unable to comply with what they’re asking, due to not wanting to compromise our own shots. I can ensure you that being “rude” or “disrespectful” is never the intent, as we only strive to make that day as magical as possible as well as the memories we capture for you. We even reached out to your photographer to offer our help once we knew there were shots that we might be in and work to solve your concerns at no additional cost to you as we understand how important it is to make you happy on your special day. We’d like to see if there is more we could do to understand your perspective and would encourage you to speak with us as we have resources that can reduce and/or remedy the situation and would like the opportunity to do so. Again, we sincerely apologize that you didn’t enjoy your experience at Yours Truly Media, as we pride ourselves in our commitment to uncompromising quality.   • Yours Truly Media blew us away! From our phone consultations to the day of our wedding they were thorough and helped us to capture everything perfectly. The crew was beyond professional and made us feel so comfortable as they followed us around all day! We are obsessed with our feature film and love seeing all of the details of our ceremony and reception that we missed on that day. We chose the package that also includes all of the raw footage and are so happy that we did. We will cherish these videos for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful for all of the hard work they put into our special day!

When I got my video, I was not 100% satisfied with a few parts of it, so I reached out and they took the time to edit the video. When I got it back, I was so happy with how it turned out and how they went above and beyond to please me. I will cherish my wedding video forever!

  • A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! We used Yours Truly Media for both photo and video - what a great choice! Professional, FUN and great work! We did our engagement photos with our photographer, Joseph, which allowed us to get to know one another! We also had a long phone conversation with our photographer before to make sure he knew what style photos we wanted. Knowing your photographer on your wedding day makes everything more comfortable and smooth! The wedding day goes so fast and nothing brings back all those "feels" like getting an amazing video and gorgeous pictures back that capture moments of you and so much you didn't even get to see on the day of! We got sneak peeks quickly after each event which is just so fun! I would HIGHLY recommend Yours Truly Media for photo and video and are extremely grateful that we found them! :)

  • We got married in November, and I can't even put into words how amazing Yours Truly Media was to work with. From the booking, to final consult, to day of, they exceeded our expectations above and beyond! We had 2 videographers that arrived promptly, were so friendly and fun to work with, and listened to everything I was wanting to see in our video. They were sure to keep us updated during their time at our wedding, while also letting us enjoy our day. To make it better, we received our video so quickly, without compromising the quality. I had given Lydia very little direction in what we were hoping the video would be, but she understood and the team delivered! I know that years to come I will still tear up watching the video because it captured our day perfectly. I am so glad that we chose them to work with.

  • Hiring Yours truly Media was truly one of the best decisions we made throughout the wedding planning process. Not only is everyone that works for this company absolutely amazing and talented, they are incredibly nice and so quick to answer all of your questions. . . and trust me I had a lot! Yours truly captured our wedding day so beautifully and made us feel like we were shooting with some of our friends. Yours truly emailed us sneak peaks right away and delivered all of our images so quickly!!! Our 8 min video brings me to tears (happy ones) every time I watch it. They caught all of our special moments and they did it the exact way we wanted them to. We could not be happier with the results and we are very thankful for Yours Truly Media!!! xoxox

  • I can't recommend Yours Truly Media enough! I chose the short video and I am so incredibly happy with how it turned out! I was a little nervous not knowing who my videographers and editors would be (since it's such a big company, you hire the company and don't know who will be your shooters until the day of) but it turned out amazing. They were extremely responsive to my communication prior to the wedding, very organized, and on time the day of. I was able to send them examples of videos I liked and they followed all of my requests that I wanted included (like music, what I wanted included in my short video, certain shots, etc.). Our 5 minute video perfectly captured the feel of the day, from start to finish. And we got our video 2 or 3 weeks after the wedding, which was impressive. With photo and video, you get what you pay for and YTM was well priced and worth every penny!

  • We worked with Yours Truly Media for our wedding's videography on August 2018. Before the wedding, we were hesitant to hire a videographer. It seemed to be yet another expense on the top of everything and many random wedding clips that we saw on internet did not interest us at all. While searching, we came upon Yours Truly Media's work and this changed everything. They are SUPER AMAZING. First of all, YTM crew were very attentive in each step. They have a very well-though professional process including pre-wedding preparation, wedding-day videography, and post-wedding production. Before the big day, they made an effort to know our taste and what kind of clips/music we like the most. On the big day, they were on time, fun and very easy to work with.   • We had a fantastic experience with Yours Truly Media! They were organized and quick to respond always. They made us feel so comfortable and they were so in the background that it was easy to forget that they were there! I was nervous about videographers being very "in our faces" as I've seen at other weddings, but we hardly noticed them at all. We got our video in 3 weeks and absolutely love it- their fast turnaround time was awesome while we were still anxiously awaiting our photos from the photographer! Leading up to my wedding, I was going back and forth on if a videographer was worth it. I already had a great photographer – did I need a videographer too? After some convincing from family and friends, (who assured me having those special moments forever on film would be worth it), I decided to explore my options.   • Please for the sake of your wedding, do not choose Yours Truly as your videographer! My husband and I honestly do not understand how they got such glowing reviews. I booked them for my December wedding in Carmel, and am so disappointed in the footage AND raw film I got back. The footage they put together looked incredibly amateur. My friend who literally hired an amateur videographer, who was shooting his fifth wedding, put together a better video than I received. The few items I wanted in the video were not included, and although they were nice in offering to re-edit, the second version was not any better and barely included any of my input. Shots were mostly from the back, the second videographer got in the way in a lot of the footage, and the scenes were cut together badly. PLEASE NOTE - the person you talk to is not the person who will be shooting OR editing your video, so I feel like a lot gets lost in translation. The raw footage I received wasn't any better.     Hi Cassie, We wanted to write a follow up to this review to address your concerns. We’re sorry to hear that you’re still not happy with your film. Everything we do is to make sure you have the best way to remember your wedding day and that you love every part of it. First, I would like to address the concern about the person you talk to. We have our project coordinators walk you through out the entire process to make things as smooth as possible and give you peace of mind of having a central point of contact. We have a final details meeting in which we knock out all your details. Everything that is discussed is reviewed with the team filming the wedding, we even have an internal checklist to make sure everything is captured. We are good at fulfilling requests assuming there are not significant adjustments to your timeline, location changes, and/or weather. Even in those cases, we’re usually able to adjust for them. However, in the case of your wedding day, there were some challenges. An example would be the ceremony being rained out while it was happening. While we captured the original and second ceremony location, this did limit the angles we were able to use. In regard to your RAW footage, this is something we go over in your final details meeting as well. The RAW footage is defined as footage shot as it were, raw and un edited. This footage is what we use to comprise your final video, both in the highlight and documentary feature films. Over the years, couples have asked us for the original footage as they want to see it as a behind the scenes perspective and view those moments as candid and important to them... so we now offer with the intent of telling couples that this footage is used to create the final product. There are times a shooter may adjust their settings and/or angles as outside influences, such as photographers and other vendors, can interfere. With that said, capturing the moment is our priority first and foremost. There are some techniques we can do in post production to assist with this. To best accommodate you, we decided to take it a step further to make you happy by going through the re-edit process 3 times to include going back to Carmel to re-fly the drone (couldn’t originally as it was raining the day of the wedding) and completely re-edit the film, including switching out the song. We’ve done everything possible to address your concerns with your film and we wish you nothing but the best!

  • It took us the longest time to hire a wedding videographer among all of our wedding vendors. After sampling from many different companies, we decided to take a chance with Yours Truly Media. We must say that, that decision is truly the best decision we made for our wedding. The team is simply amazing. We received outstanding service from our initial conversations, and throughout the wedding planning process they answered our questions patiently and professionally. Not only did they arrive on time on the day of the wedding, they also finished taking the drone shot prior to our contracted time began despite it being their first time working at the venue - they must have arrived way earlier to scout around.   • It has been almost one year since our wedding, but I am finally getting around to writing this review. I am not happy with our video footage. On the day of our wedding, the videographers showed up at the wrong place and missed a lot of footage I wish we had such as getting ready, putting on my dress, etc. During the reception, I was informed by my sister that they were packing up to leave during the father-daughter dance. She asked that they stay a little longer which they did. A few days later on our honeymoon, we got an email requesting extra money for staying later than expected. I was extremely upset and told them I would contact them after our honeymoon. After speaking with them, they offered to send us a gift card to our favorite restaurant. The gift card was for $100.     Hello Jessica, Let us be the first to congratulate you and Ryan in your 1st year anniversary! We hope it was incredible and filled with love! We did want to take some time and respond to the concerns you have with everything on your wedding day. We do want to apologize for the miscommunication that caused us to arrive at the venue instead of your getting ready location. This isn’t something that we take lightly and after this one and only situation we’ve updated our process to ensure that if location changes the information is relayed to the team both through phone call and backed by text and email. We require written and verbal acknowledgment on any last minute changes, as well as regular confirmation of the details of the wedding day. We also confirm all the details with you, the couple, to make sure there aren’t any last minute changes we weren’t aware of. As far as staying extra time, we do check in with you or your coordinator if we’re coming close to our filming end time and the wedding day is running behind. We do this because as much as you plan, sometimes things go longer than expected. The last thing we want is to miss any of your special moments because our filming time is up. So we give you the option to extend for as long as you like, which we did so for your wedding day. This is something we go over with you during your final details meeting when we set your filming start/end times. Once we were aware that there was an error in the starting location we hopped on a call with you to go over everything. As a result of that call, we gave that additional hour filmed for no charge and wanted to treat you both to dinner as our apology for our mistake. The last thing we wanted to address is your external hard drive. Unfortunately we don’t have control over the postal service and things get lost from time to time. Once you notified us your drive was sent, we notified you soon after the specified delivery window that we didn’t receive it and asked for the tracking number. You then were able to track it and mentioned it had been lost. We understand that happens and we tried helping by giving you options to have Amazon resend the drive at no charge. We do want to thank you again for your feedback and re extend our apologies for the miscommunication on our end. Please rest assured that we’ve taken the steps above to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Have a wonderful rest of your lives together and we wish you the best of luck!
