  • Our wedding was wonderful at White house catering. - It was everything we wanted and they made sure to have the day perfect for us! Lynda is absolutely wonderful and helped make the day perfect! Prior to working with Lynda, it felt a little less structured because we didn't have a specific contact person.

  • We are so happy we went with Whitehouse Caterers at Overhills Mansion for our wedding. We visited a dozen other venues in the DMV and decided on Overhills pretty much immediately after leaving the venue. We wanted a venue we knew would be nice for an indoor wedding because we were getting married in January, but their outdoor space is also beautiful for an outdoor ceremony. We are happy we chose this place because it is a beautiful Mansion, the Whitehouse Caterers employees were excellent, we still hear about how good the food was from our guests, it’s convenient to BWI for our out-of-towners, and the price was reasonable for everything the venue provided. When you book WHC you get a wedding planner, day of coordinator, bartenders, staff, linens, and additional perks such as separate getting ready spaces for the bride and the groom.   • This venue was more than we could have ever hoped for. From the staff, the decor and the amazing food, it exceeded our expectations. The venue is so beautiful on its own, that you barely need further decoration. Can’t wait to see our pictures!

  • WHC made everything so easy! Leading up to our special day and on our special day. They took care of everything and manged our timeline the day of so we really just enjoyed the day. Plus they have the best food! They made our perfect wedding possible!

  • Whitehouse Caterers at Overhills Mansion was the best caterer and venue we could have hoped for. This was only the second place we visited as an option, and we knew from our first visit that this is where we wanted to get married! Our first visit was with Terri who provided us with a full tour of the facility and a cost estimate for what we had in mind for our day. Most of my communication thereafter was with Lynda, who I cannot say enough good things about. She answered every email in a timely manner, met with us at least 3 times (probably more) to go over logistics or any concern I had, and I was lucky enough to have her there the day of our wedding as well. We had a very specific vision, as our wedding was Alice in Wonderland themed, and they were not only accommodating with our vision, but also went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us.     Megan, we had so much fun helping you make your Alice in Wonderland vision come to life! Because of feedback like yours, we have changed our packages for 2020 to include more time in the suites to get ready and now only book one wedding per day. We ask that you take all of your décor and personal items with you after your event to ensure that none of it gets misplaced or sent home with another client by accident. Our staff gathers all of the décor into the foyer after the event has ended to help with the process of packing up, ideally making the process as efficient and pain free as possible!

  • Everyone we worked with at Overhills was wonderful (Jessica, Lauren, Lynda, and the whole team)! They went above and beyond to make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be, from the food, the decor, coordinating with all of our vendors, and everything in between. Our guests raved about the venue and the food, including our speciality donuts at the end of the night! We are incredibly grateful for the experience we had at Overhills and couldn't have asked for a better setting to start our lives together!

  • Overhills Mansion is THE place to get married at in the DMV. From the beginning, the entire staff was responsive and friendly, and remained that way throughout the entire process. Lynda was our event coordinator, and she made sure every detail was covered. Rossi was our day of coordinator, and despite only meeting her at the rehearsal, it felt like we had a friend in our corner that day and the day of the wedding. The staff is flexible and accomodating, the entire affair is more affordable than anywhere else we looked and still held its value, and the space is beautiful, inside and out. The food was also mind-blowingly delicious, and having catering on site put a lot of worries at ease. Working with the Wine Bin is great as well, as you can customize your bar to your crowd and you only pay for already opened alcohol, which enables you to save a lot of money over paying per person for an open bar. We really can't say enough good things about Overhills! Thank you everyone.

  • The second we walked into Overhills for our tour, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. This 100 year old mansion was absolutely beautiful on the inside! The space was perfect for our 120 guest wedding. We had the ceremony and reception on-site. The transition was flawless. I loved that the caterer was on-site and used locally sourced farm to table ingredients. The Overhills staff was always easily reachable whenever I had any question or concern. The fact that this is a BYOB venue was a HUGE plus (not only for cost reasons, but their supplier The Wine Bin was extremely easy to work with, provided delivery, and we were able to return any unopened alcohol). On the second floor, there is a whole wing for the bride side to get ready in (complete with foosball table, sofas, multiple vanities, and a private room to put your wedding dress on!).   • Overhills mansion is a beautiful venue for any gathering. The ballroom has a gorgeous fireplace and flexibility in the floor plan. We had about 100 people at our wedding and it was the perfect size. It could probably comfortably fit about 120, but I wouldn't recommend more than that, especially in the colder months since it would probably feel cramped. The food was amazing and the staff will be able to accommodate anything you can think of. The location is also very convenient as it is so close to BWI and nearby hotels for out of town guests. I didn't give it full stars for several reasons. The main reason being that they are not great at communicating and were sometimes misleading. For example, when meeting to discuss booking the venue, we were told that it would include a wedding planner and a day-of planner.     Laura, we are so glad that you and your guests had a wonderful time here. We really enjoyed working with you and Nick along the planning process. We are happy that your 100 guests were very comfortable. We often accommodate up to 240 guests in the ballroom by offering a variety of floor plan options to suit different types of events and quantities of guests. It is our goal to design the ballroom to make it feel like it is the perfect size for every party, whether 50 guests or 240 guests. We have decided not to hire vendors for our clients because we want our clients to choose their own vendors. We help by giving our recommended vendor list and we coordinate details with the companies that our clients choose. While our event planners do help with linen colors, we also create custom floor plans, timelines, design centerpieces, customize décor around the mansion and so much more. Since we are one company, our clients have the added benefit that our event planners work side by side with the day of coordinator, executive chef, owners and their staff to ensure that all of the tiny details for your day are thought about, planned for, and communicated to our team so that everything is perfect. While we do not send out reminders for billing, we do include a payment schedule in the contract and in the event planning booklet received by all clients. Past due notices do not incur any kind of fee, but are given simply to remind a client when they have missed a payment. Our packages for 2020 now include seven hours in the suite to get ready and we only host one wedding per day to optimize our client’s time at the mansion.

  • We absolutely loved having our wedding reception at Overhills Mansion. It is a beautiful space with lovely grounds. The food was great (we had a duet of stuffed skirt steak and the harvest chicken), and we received compliments from numerous guests. The staff members were friendly and helpful, and we had an amazing night. The only negative was that many of our guests noticed the staff did start cleaning up the reception prior to the end of the event. The months leading up were stress-free, all of the meetings we had with the wedding planner (Lynda) went well. She asked all the questions/led the meetings which was helpful to us since we didn't really know where to start! We would definitely recommend Overhills to anyone looking for a unique and charming venue.
