  • We hired Gloria a few months before our wedding to help with day-of and some pre-planning. She seemed very no-nonsense and capable of getting things done, which is what I was looking for, so I was willing to overlook her abrasive personality. Turns out, maybe I shouldn't have. I want to preface this review with the fact that I have been a project manager for a while and professionally have worked as a Director of Program Operations for the past few years--meaning that I understand how to plan, how to define processes, and how to communicate with clients, very large and demanding clients. So perhaps my expectations were too large to begin with. Having said that, leading up to the event, I was disappointed with how disjointed Gloria's communication style was. I would get up to ten emails a day that were mostly randomized and contextually disorganized, and often were inarticulate and/or had typos making them hard to actually understand.   • Loved Gloria and her staff, they worked hard for us in a very difficult situation from the start, (our fault not theirs). The only suggestion I have is that she needs to smile more, because she has a lovely smile and was "too serious" in a good way at our event. Couldn't have done it without her.

  • Our wedding was quite unconventional. It was held in one of our farm barns complete with a combine parked in the corner. Gloria was so enthusiastic about working within the elements that we wanted. Gloria and Whidbey Party Girls have a commitment to sourcing products - food, beverages, flowers, photographers, supplies ... from Whidbey Island. The wedding with over 200 guests went so smoothly and much of the credit goes to Gloria and her team.

  • Although I am a local Whidbey Islander, Gloria of Whidbey Party Girls had insider knowledge that proved to make our son's island wedding beyond successful, blending East & West Coast, Italian and Norwegian cultures into a truly exceptional and fun fairy tale event for the first wedding in our family, welcoming our first daughter-in-law. From violinist, to caterer, to florist, very budget friendly and unique....taking the time to ensure this Mother-of-the Groom (who never expected to host a wedding!) and the Bride's wishes were both equally met. We had fun, the food was fabulous, the music wonderful, the ceremony delightful...the entire event memorable!

  • Gloria provided food service staffing and bartending for our daughters wedding. She also helped us find a wonderful caterer and provided coffee service. I contacted her only a month before the event to help bailout a situation that had become unmanageable. She was helpful, responsive and easy to work with. The day of our outdoor wedding we had a windstorm with power outages, downed trees, other delayed food and guests. Gloria was chipper, calm and flexible. Overall, she was extremely helpful and instrumental in the success of the wedding.

  • Gloria jumped in with day of staffing and set up for both my wedding and brunch the following day after the original person I had hired cancelled on me two weeks before the wedding. She was able to pull together an entire bar staff and all of the staff for the brunch and clean up and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks Gloria for stepping in and making what could have been a disaster into a perfect wedding day!

  • Gloria the owner of Whidbey party girls is the most efficient person I have ever met. She gets stuff done and does a excellent job at it. She made our wedding day all about us incorporating our hobbies and beliefs. She extracted the right information from us even when we didnt know what we wanted. She is extremely organized and has a excellent memory. Gloria is a really amazing good hearted woman and really cares about her bride and groom when planning a wedding. I could have never had such a perfect STRESS FREE wedding without her. Thank you Gloria for all you have done for us. We will remember you and the special day you gave us forever.

  • Gloria was amazing! She went way overboard to insure that my event went off without a hitch. This meant last minute changes due to weather (which Gloria handled perfectly and calmly) and doing everything needed to make sure the vision I had for the event was realized. Highly recommend.

  • Gloria was our sanity keeper throughout the planning process - the wedding really wouldn't have happened without her! Her knowledge of highly-rated local vendors was hugely helpful and we were thrilled with all of her recommendations. Her composure, positivity, and flexibility on the day of the wedding were fabulous. We had rain in the morning, but she knew how badly we wanted to get married outside - it's as if she negotiated with the weather to cooperate (I wouldn't be surprised!) rather than set up for the ceremony in the backup indoor location - the ceremony was dry and the clouds cleared for pictures, dinner, and dancing afterwards. I absolutely credit Gloria and her staff for making it all come together!

  • I hesitate to write this review because it is not positive and it affects someone's personal business. However, I had such an awful experience that other brides should be advised. Despite stellar reviews and a personal recommendation, my experience with WPG was truly awful. The planner was rude to vendors, rude to family members and guests and rude to her own staff. She did not read emails sent to her, did not respect our wishes for the event, and brought a disruptive energy to the ceremony. She also wrote a schedule that had us there so early that I spent nearly an hour by myself prior to the wedding with nothing to do and no company. Some of her vendor recommendations were great; others terrible. Several of my vendors said they would never work with her again. Maybe she is going through a bad spell, but I would not recommend her to anyone.
