  • Perfection... We searched several high end venues in NH for a small, elegant wedding (60 guests) and chose WBTS. It was hands down, the most elegant, gorgeous wedding we could have imagined and our guests were stunned. Laura ensured every detail was attended to and checked in with us early in the day and throughout the day into the evening ceremony and reception. We rented the Treaty Room where the bride, bridesmaids and moms had hair and makeup done, sipped champagne, laughed and cried. The wedding was held in the lovely historic gardens, a cocktail hour (order the bacon wrapped scallops) and reception in the Grand Ballroom with its Victorian chandeliers and beveled glass doors. Charming! The White Glove service was a huge hit with guests clapping as each table was served with amazing precision.   • We had the most gorgeous wedding at the Wentworth, a special shout out to Laura Abraham for her professionalism and swift work, she was absolutely perfection. I would highly recommend the Wentworth to any couple who wants a dream wedding.

  • First off, I wish I could give the Wentworth more than 5 stars. I cannot recommend enough hosting your wedding here. My husband and I got married in April of 2018, and everyone from the valet and check in, to the GM of the hotel, extended exceptional service starting the very first day my husband and I went to the Wentworth to decide if we wanted to have our wedding there. We worked with Laura, and I cannot say enough about her and her team, and the level of professionalism they provided. She not only efficient at her job but made the planning and decision process fun for my husband and I. We had our ceremony and reception on site, and Laura and her team did a fantastic job with the organization and flow of both. My husband and I live in Boston, so it was a lot of back and forth and emails in the planning process, but Laura was very accommodating to our schedules, took every stress I had, and never once let me down.   • My husband and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience for our wedding reception. From the beginning of the process and planning all the way through packing our car with decorations and extra cupcakes the day after our reception, the Wentworth was amazing. Planning was a breeze- well organized with a lot of attention to detail. We worked with both Abigail and Alyssa; both very attentive and timely in responses. The day of the wedding the Wentworth accommodated to my Groom and his groomsmen to get ready in a private room for the morning. When we arrived on site (1hr early by the way) the staff was prompt to bring our bridal party hor d'oeuvres and drinks while we took pictures. The Wentworth ballroom was decorated perfectly, with a thanks to Jardiniere Florists as well as Portsmouth Invitation Co, who made it easy to coordinate to make the day run smoothly.   • Our son's wedding at Wentworth By the Sea was absolutely perfect!! Abby Lajoie was fantastic all the way through the planning process to the day of the event. She worked hard to make it what the bride and groom wanted. Many of our guests commented on the presidential service at dinner and raved over the food! We all had a fantastic time thanks to being well taken care of by the staff at the Wentworth!

  • My daughter's wedding reception was at Wentworth by the Sea and it was absolutely beautiful. The food was perfect, the service amazing. I would highly recommend this venue for your dream wedding. It is so worth it.

  • Abby & the Wentworth were incredible and exceeded all of our expectations from the signing of the contract until we checked out of the venue a few days after our wedding! We cannot say enough good things. We will be going back to the Wentworth year after year to celebrate our anniversary and say hello to the staff that was so gracious to us! If you're considering the Wentworth for your venue, stop considering and book it now--you will not regret it!

  • The hotel was great! We had our ceremony/reception in the Wentworth Ballroom. Everything was set up as we had planned for. The staff service was exceptional. The food was amazing and they kept bringing out more and more for the raw bar! I would recommend the martini ice bar as well, it was a big hit!

  • I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I had my wedding reception there in June and it was absolutely amazing. The hotel and planner (Alyssa) thought of literally everything to make sure our day was perfect. The hotel took care of everything from the ballroom setup, bringing our gifts to the suite, and making sure all the events (introductions, toasts, dances, etc) were taken care of. We had nothing to worry about that day and everything was organized and beautiful. The bridal party even had it's own personal servers during cocktail hour to make sure we all had something to eat and they even put chocolate covered strawberries and prosecco in our suite. The suite was so gorgeous, we wished we could have spent more time in it! I can't forget to mention the Marina Suites either, my bridesmaids and I stayed in one the night before the wedding and it was so awesome, such a nice suite! What a wonderful and elegant place to be!   • Had a terrible experience as a wedding guest. I was carded at the start of cocktail hour (I'm 28) and didn't have my ID on me because I was carrying a small clutch. Although I was able to produce digital photos of both my passport and driver's license, I was forced to go back to my hotel (35 mins round trip) to get my ID. When I came back, I showed my ID to the manager but was still carded several more times throughout the evening. I get that the venue has to abide by the law, but I don't get why I was the only one carded or targeted in such a way when I returned. The staff seems confused and evidently unable to communicate with one another.

  • This is a wonderful venue and all of our guests raved about the reception. The staff during the wedding weekend were very helpful and responded to our every request. We had to change wedding coordinators when Amanda resigned and was replaced by Abby. Abby did her best to pick up where Amanda left off and was very helpful and did a good job. As the mother of the bride who was overseeing the details and contracts I found the Marriott Corporation policies and contracts extremely inflexible especially room bookings and event contracts. One had the feeling that the Hotel was doing you a favor by allowing you to have your wedding there. The room bookings for several of my guests did not go well and on one occasion required the assistance of a manager to book a suite. The hotel forgot to place two floral arrangements at the post wedding breakfast and when I inquired about the silver vases I would like returned I was informed that they could be shipped at my expense.   • My husband and I had a civil ceremony here because he is being sent overseas in the military for a year. We are having our big, church wedding with the entired family upon his return. Not only did the Wentworth staff go above and beyond to make this small ceremony meaninful and private for us, they upgraded our room the two nights we were there and sent surprises to us throughout our stay. We received a personal letter from our officiant, cheese, fruits, chocolates, champagne, and other things I am sure I am forgetting all sent up to our room. I cannot express how wonderful and cared for we both felt at this high level of service. I cannot wait for our big ceremony that we take place here next year! I HIGHLY recommend this venue!

  • Leading up to our wedding, many people asked us why we were getting married in NH when my husband is from NY and I'm from MA - after our wedding, all anyone could talk about was what a beautiful setting it was, how great the food was, etc. Alyssa and the rest of her team were great - even when I was a disorganized mess! I had a lot of ideas for the day and never fully planned out the logistics, but Alyssa helped make it all happen. I can't say enough good things about the catering and banquet staff. The setting is absolutely beautiful, I can't wait to see our photographer's pictures! As we expected, the food was AMAZING, too. We added a lot of enhancements, but the two that people talked about most were the grilled cheese station (among other things, guests loved having something substantial to snack on while we were doing pictures), and the gelato bar. I never made it over to the gelato bar myself, but the even the presentation was impressive!

  • We waited a year and a half for our dream wedding at The Wentworth by the Sea. I had a small wedding planned for 50 guests with the ceremony scheduled for the historic gardens. I hired a horse drawn carriage to bring me to the gardens. I wanted to be a princess for the day. About a year into the planning my favorite wedding coordinator Jaime Staples resigned! Oh no, now what. She was fantastic as my catering coordinator for two prior large corporate Christmas parties. She was amazing. My new coordinator was Amanda and she was just ok. But when she resigned just a month away from my wedding I was shocked. What is going on at the Wentworth that has caused such turnover. I was now assigned a very junior level coordinator who appeared to have very little experience in dealing with people let alone coordinating a significant event such as a wedding.
