Wonderful experience with Vern in late September, 2019. He was responsive, reliable, and other than a tiny bit of microphone noise-level adjustments at the beginning of the ceremony, all went without a hitch. We chose the "moderate" level of crowd interaction, and had a very positive experience. He kept the crowd informed of what was happening and played all of our requested songs, but wasn't over-the-top or kitschy in any way. He did a good job selecting songs that blended in style with those that we specifically requested to the point that apart from a few select songs, I couldn't remember which we had asked for specifically and which he just played. Beware - if you give free reign for song requests from the crowd on the coordinating sheet and don't put a song on the "don't play" list, you might end up the "chicken dance" being played! Oh well! That piece was 100% on me, and the kids (and some of the adults!) had a good time with it.
