My experience with Venus was awful. I had been to several other stores prior to going to this store and Venus was the worst store I went to. The saleswoman left my mother, grandmother, sister, and I to pick out dresses by ourselves. All of the other stores I went to, sat down with my family and I and went over exactly what I wanted. She never went over with me what I wanted. She told me to just walk around and look at the pictures of the dresses on the tag then pull any that I wanted to see. Before we even started looking at the dresses, my mother asked if we could see the dresses they had on sale. On their website, they indicate that they have some sale dresses. The saleswoman told my mother that the dresses were old and out of style. My mother said we would still like to see them and I agreed. Just because she thought they were old and out of style does not mean we did. The saleswoman then said well they are in a box in the back and are not in any order so we said okay. We proceeded ... Read moreto look around without any assistant and pulled some dresses. We pulled about 15-20 dresses. Some of which were not the style I like, but that my mother liked, but I agreed to try on in case I loved how I looked in it. Out of all of those dresses I tried on about 10 of them. There were a few I really liked so I left the store and went for coffee with my family. I wanted to try back on some of the dresses so we went back to Venus. The other 5-10 dresses I had not tried on were still sitting out so my mother asked if I could try those on. The saleswoman told my mother that it would confuse me since I already really liked two other dresses and that the dresses that were not were not my style so I could not try them on. I proceeded to try on the two dresses I had really liked. I was still torn between them, but after talking it over with my family I decided on one. I changed then went to the register to buy the dress. I had told the saleswoman I wanted the dress in white and only white. I also told her several times I did not want ivory. The saleswoman filled out a form and wrote IV on the form, but never told us that meant ivory. I guess she thought we knew that meant ivory. If I knew that meant ivory I would have said no I want white. Before my mother paid of the dress, she asked if she could just put a percentage down. Neither of us had ever bought a wedding dress (mother eloped). The saleswoman told my mother that they require the full payment otherwise they could not guarantee the dress and veil would arrive in time. Neither of us questioned it because we wanted to make sure my dress and veil came in time. The form she had us sign even said we only had to pay 75%, but we believed the saleswoman when she said that the full payment was required. Within a few hours of buying the dress I realized I picked the wrong dress. We attempted to call them to cancel our order and sent messages to the owner, but they told us the woman who was ordering our dress was not in until Wednesday. However, she told me she was ordering the dress on Tuesday because they could not get in touch with the designer to place the order over the weekend and they are closed on Mondays. I spoke with a different woman on Monday who told me that the dress would not be ordered until Wednesday when our saleswoman was back to at work despite her telling us otherwise. I asked the woman if the order could be cancelled and she said I would have to discuss that with the owner and the saleswoman, but that they would not order the dress. I asked when the owner would be available to talk and I was told he would be in the shop in one hour and I could call back so I did. The owner was still not in and I was told to call back later that day so I did. This time I was told he would not be in, but to call back. At that point, I told the woman that even if they wanted to keep our money we would be willing to pick out other dresses. My brother and I are both getting married and so we still needed bridesmaids dresses, mother of the bride/mother of the groom dresses, and if that still did not make up for the cost then my grandmother would have been more than happy to get her dresses for the wedding there too. The woman told us we could discuss that with the owner. We called back on Wednesday and were given the runaround. The saleswoman was supposed to call me back and the owner was not in. We never heard back from either one. My mother even tried reaching out to them via Facebook, but her messages went unanswered. We had no idea if the dress was ordered or not because we never heard back. When we bought the dress we were specifically told by the saleswoman that she would notify me when the dress was ordered with a date as to when the dress would arrive. My mother and I were never notified. She never called or emailed either one of us. Fast forward to now, I got an email telling me the dress and veil came in so my mother, grandmother, and I went to the shop to pick up the dress. The second I walked in the door the saleswoman who sold the dress to me asked if I was here to pick up the dress to which I replied yes. She then immediately asked me to sign a paper. She did not explain what the paperwork was nor did she offer to show me the dress. Of course we would want to see the dress to make sure it was correct before I signed any additional paperwork. The saleswoman stood at her computer and pointed to where the dress was hanging in a bag. She never offered to show me the dress or let me try it on. I opened the bag and immediately realized the dress was the wrong color and it was the completely wrong veil. My mother looked at the dress and veil and neither had any tags or anything. A brand new dress and veil should have tags even just a tag that would indicate the size of the dress which it did not have. The dress and veil also looked old and used. When I told the saleswoman it was the wrong dress she just told us we would have to discuss it with the owner the following day. My mother called the owner the following day since I was working and he said it was my dress and to come pick it up or they would keep it and our money.

I took my daughter to Venus to purchase a wedding gown and veil. From the beginning I should have known this was not going to end well. When we arrived the consultant showed us the dress area and said to look at the pictures on the hangers and pull out whatever dresses we wanted to try. She never offered any suggestions or advice. The consultant came back about 15 minutes laters and assisted my daughter with trying on the dresses. My daughter was not allowed to try on all of the dresses because the consultant said they were not her style. We pretty much narrowed it down to 2 dresses and we then told the consultant we wanted to think about it. Before we left the consultant said to my daughter that she needed to hurry and pick a dress since her wedding is in July of 2019. After hearing that my daughter felt very pressured and nervous she was not going to have a dress. We went back and we picked our favorite of the 2. I asked about putting a deposit on the dress and the consultant... Read more said we should just pay in full that it is easier. She also told us that we need to pay the veil in full or it would not be ordered and we would not have it in time for the wedding. So being a first time mother of the bride, I paid the total in full and we were advised that we would receive the order confirmation on the next Wednesday. We never received the confirmation and we called and emailed the store and they would always tells us to call back or they would call us back, but they never did. After this whole transaction we were advised by several people in the industry that this should have never happened. We should have been allowed to try on dresses even if the consultant did not think it was a good choice and by no means did we have to pay in full. After being told this I looked at The website for Venus and it states only 75% is required for a down payment. So my daughter received an email on December 12, 2018 telling her that her dress is available for pickup. Since we never received a confirmation that it was ordered we had been wondering this whole time if indeed the dress was ever ordered. We made an appointment to pick the dress up that day. When we walked in the store the same consultant was there and she had a form for my daughter to sign stating that she picked up the dress. We requested to see the dress first. The consultant just pointed to a bag hanging on a hook. We went over and unzipped the bag and much to our surprise it was the wrong colored dress and the veil was the wrong color and the wrong style. There were also no tags on the dress or veil either. They also did not have a new feeling to them either. They actually looked dirty. We tried talking to the consultant about it and she said that we would have to talk to the manager the following day. When I called the manager he stated that was our dress and the sale is final. I have attached 2 pictures, one showing my daughter in would should have been her dress and the other of the actual dress they claim to be hers. We also have requested to see the confirmation of the order of the dress and they still have yet to provide one. So now we are out of a dress and over $1800.00.

I went along with a friend for a fitting and we had a wonderful time. There is a great selection of dresses and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I already had my dress, but I did find a beautiful head piece to wear! Highly recommend.

My experience at Venus Bridal was one of my best wedding adventure. Venus Bridal emphasizes the idea of helping brides make the right purchase for their wedding day as opposed to making a sale. The staff was patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Venus Bridal for wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses.

I had the best experience with Venus Bridal! I was looking for a simple, classic dress, and Elan helped me think outside the box by buying a bridesmaid dress and adding some custom designs to make it my dream dress! Everyone at the shop was so attentive and professional. I was ecstatic to have a dress that was one of a kind! Definitely look at Venus for your special day! Even if you don't see what you want, they will work with you to design it, so don't overlook this shop!!!

Everyone at Venus bridal was so kind and helpful, they helped me find my vision and kept me within my budget. The alterations turned out great and I felt beautiful on my wedding day in one of their many beautiful gowns they have to offer. They are flexible and have great hours which is helpful for people who work longer hours.

Newsha is amazing! She helped us find my dress and helped every step of the way. Everyone in the shop was kind and very helpful even showing us where we could order shoes if we didn't like the ones they carry. I had a special request for my dress and they were very accommodating and prompt with getting back to me with pricing. I really cannot recommend this shop enough and will be doing so often!

Where to begin? I had a very long engagement and decided to start my search for a dress pretty early on at Venus Bridal. At our first stop, I found the dress! The girls were very sweet, helpful, and accommodating when looking for different dresses that were along the lines of what I was looking for, and the staff is very professional when it comes to changing and trying on dresses. From the time that I bought my dress until the day before my wedding, Venus was great! There were a few things that I wanted done to the dress to make it mine, such as sewing on a belt, removing a sparkly bow detail that was originally on the dress, and adding lace to the sleeves. The seamstress was awesome and when I got my dress back after the work was done, I was in love! Even better, we did not have to make any size alterations over the entirety of the 18 months! Excellent selection of beautiful and affordable gowns. Professional, polite & friendly (not snooty or overbearing) staff. Extremely helpful & accommodating. My daughter adored he young woman who helped her select dresses. They made an exciting time even better!

The service was great until towards the end. The bridal assistant Nisha was great. A wrong order was made for my bridesmaid. When I called the company and spoke with the manager there was no responsibility for the mistake. They spoke over me, and had no understanding. Unaware to the circumstances that may be affected by it, they were defensive. Mistakes happen, and while it sucks that this may be a big mistake, ownership for ordering the wrong dress is all I asked for and did not receive it. If that moment did not happen, I would have given a higher score. .The experience and worth for the matter was good up until the end.
