  • Where can I begin? I could not have envisioned a better location for our engagement ceremony to take place. From working with incredible staff members ( Kate, Vivian, Laura) to witnessing the sunset and full moon amongst the beautiful DC skyline. The view from this venue is truly priceless. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

  • Although we’re not getting married until June, the folks at TOTT have already been so accommodating. Letting us come take measurements and photos at our leisure, responsive to all questions and concerns, etc. you can’t beat the views of DC either!

  • We were given Top of the Town as a potential wedding venue by our wedding planner (Pollyanna Events). We live in DC and were planning on a more urban setting, but we chose Top of the Town based on its beautiful view of DC, easy location and parking for guests, the tour we received from Vivian, and the straightforward pricing. We liked that their list of approved vendors was vast. Vivian made us feel comfortable, we felt that we wouldn’t have to make so many decisions. Other venues were more of a blank canvas and we just didn’t have the time, energy, money to spend on bringing in and designing a look. The contracting process was relatively easy, and staff was responsive. We used a wedding planner and it got a little confusing as to who was in charge, but we let our planner handle all of that and it’s not a problem specific to Top of the Town. Our guests loved the views and everything went according to plan. They flipped the room quickly. Traffic seemed to move well. We were able t... Read more

  • Our guests absolutely loved the Top of the Town for our wedding ceremony and reception. The team there were flawless in terms of how smoothly they managed the event. My husband and I were super impressed with how professional and efficient they were. The team effortlessly "flipped" the room we held the ceremony in and quickly turned it into part of the dining area for our reception. Of course the views are amazing, but we were also blown away by how experienced the staff were. This was the first and only venue my husband and I toured, and it was the perfect venue for our wedding.

  • Top of the Town was a beautiful venue for our wedding! Lovely views, the perfect size to have our ceremony and reception for 115 guests! Discounted rates for offseason and they allow you to provide your own alcohol.

  • I absolutely loved having my wedding at Top of the Town! It rained on my wedding day but my guests still utilized the awesome outdoor terrace and nothing beats the panoramic view of Washington, D.C. I found that my wedding contacts at the venue were easy to get in touch with and very helpful when it came to planning my wedding. Not only that, but there are so many aspects of the venue that are beautiful starting with the scenic elevator ride up to the gorgeous hallways leading to the reception room. Although the venue does come with restrictions as far as vendors, I found that this actually helped with my wedding planning process as I had never planned a wedding or an event like this before so I came from zero experience. I found great vendors through their list as a result and ones I will recommend to my friends for future events. All in all, it was wonderful to have my wedding here! I highly recommend it!

  • We just got married here at Top of the Town, and truly could not have imagined a more perfect backdrop for our big day! The second we stepped out of the elevator and saw the National Mall across the way we knew this was the place -- and it did not disappoint. Both the groom and half our guests are from the DC area, and every one of them said they have never seen a view of the city this breathtaking -- worth every penny. Vivian was also great both before the wedding and as our day-of coordinator -- our night seemed to go so smoothly that we didn't have a care in the world, and she was always quick to respond. Thank you for a truly unforgettable evening!

  • My husband and I only saw one wedding view - Top of the Town - and we both knew this was IT! We said, "Wow" about 5,040,049 x as we walked down the aisle to the floor to ceiling breathtaking views of DC. We both walked away telling our ourselves, "We want to have our wedding, every birthday, every anniversary, and everything in between in this gorgeous venue". Our wedding turned out to be truly SPECTACULAR and everything we've always dreamt of. In fact, it exceeded all are already high expectations. Kate was very responsive and easy to work with. The price for the rental was reasonable and comparable for the Washington, DC area. The venue costs includes tables and chairs which saved on rental costs. Moreover, the 360-degree views and floor to ceiling views and windows overlooking DC IS THE DECOR. So we saved thousands on needing to jazz it up (e.g. like you would need to do in a hotel ballroom.) We had our rehearsal at our hotel suite to save $900 and it worked out per... Read more

  • We were so excited to pick ToTT for our venue. When we initially toured the location, they mentioned that the date we wanted was available and within 24 hours, we reached back out and asked for that date. Then, we found out that another couple had already started a conversation about that date and they couldn't offer it to us. No worries, we booked the Sunday of memorial day and were happy. We booked the venue for the whole day for two interfaith ceremonies at $10k. The price is high and portions of the venue is VERY outdated. The chandeliers, the bathrooms, the carpeting. It is very 70s and could use an upgrade. Pros: Views Responsive staff Cons: Value - bc there is no real competitor Lots of restrictions - things that you find out as you go Elevator - only one that is used for loading and guests Not very flexible- it is above a residential building and you come across a ton of rules as you go through the process not meant for Hindu weddings that happen during the ... • Very torn on my feelings about Top of the Town. I do not regret booking this venue, but it wasn't a pleasant experience leading up to the event. I will start with the good. The venue is GORGEOUS! It truly is a beautiful location. Hard to beat views of DC that stunned my wedding of mostly out-of-town guests. Flooded with natural light. We rented their navy linens and they were great as well. The contract is extensive with restrictions. Most of the time these weren't a problem for us. The one I was most concerned about was no music that elicited synchronized jumping/dancing, but I didn't even miss the songs that would be on such a list. While they do require you to use a caterer and DJ that have been pre-approved, both lists are very long. You'll find someone you like easily. Besides all that (which you know before booking!), my greatest frustrations were issues with communication and being very unaccommodating. Just a couple examples. Their speed of communication varies a lot. Sometime... Read more

  • We had our wedding on 9/26/18 and it was beautiful! The staff was accommodating, extremely responsive, and always professional. I would not change a thing. I will say if your family loves to dance be sure to pay attention to the " no play list" it is a residential building so dances like the cupid shuffle, electric slide (all the dances I love), anything that encourages stomping or jumping is strictly prohibited. This was not an issue for us, our family does not dance a whole lot but this did not prevent those that did from hitting the floor!

  • We had our wedding at Top of the Town in September and it was perfect, especially since most of our wedding guests were from out of town so the DC skyline was a real treat! The windows, chandeliers, room size, terrace, and views were just incredible. The venue also provided chairs and tables, which looked really nice. In addition, we rented their columns to use as stands for flowers during our wedding ceremony. Minimal decorations are needed with this venue since the views are a "decoration" alone. We worked closely with Kate and her team, who were helpful and accommodating. They provided a list of approved vendors, which we found very useful and felt there was a wide variety (FYI Chef's Table and DJ Norman Voss were fantastic). The vendors we worked with were knowledgeable of the venue, which was very helpful. We also hired a day-of coordinator through Top of the Town, which was helpful since they were knowledgeable of the venue and had experience with previous weddings - well ... Read more

  • I wish that I could give less stars for this business. My husband and I chose this venue based on a recommendation from 2010. Our first visit to view the venue was good. However, every other contact with them was full of issues. My wedding planner and other vendors had nothing but problems and explained how difficult the venue was and has been in the past. I was told less than 2 weeks before my wedding that the time that I had been originally told that I would have for my wedding and was listed on invitation was incorrect, even though they received the invitation before that time. I had great vendors but it's very disappointing that they has to deal with rigid and unreasonable requirements. It was nothing but a fight with this venue and I will continue to let everyone know that they should be aware and cautious when using this venue for an event, especially a venue. The good: the views were amazing and that's what's working for them.

  • Overall I am pleased, but there is definitively room for improvement. The pros: 1. The view and cost are unbeatable! I did a lot of research and the view you get for the money in D.C is well worth considering if you want a venue guest can enjoy. 2. The outdoor patio area is perfect for picture. 3. The venue is BYOB if a caterer serves the alcohol. 4. Free Parking The cons: 1. Attention to detail: As we got closer to our event, the attention to detail was not as great as I would have expected. We moved our reception from 7pm to 6pm about 6months before our wedding and resigned our contract so all parties involved were in agreement. However, when were were around the 2 month mark I contacted the venue with a few questions and there was confusion by a staff member about the time change despite the fact she was the person that changed our contract. Her explanation was she simply didn't update the timeframe on the outside of the envelop. The same person again did not realize we we... Read more
