  • 2020 has been a year filled with chaos and misery due to COVID-19 as it extinguishes the happiest part of our lives: family gatherings, graduations, weddings and all of the celebrations that make life good. A number of my friends have had their lives halted by this virus. It seems that the one bright light in all of this disappointment has been that it seemed that we are all in this together. In the trips I have canceled: airbnb hosts have been gracious and considerate in refunding, airlines have been proactive in making changes in the name of safety, venues of other friends have been understanding and accommodating when cancelling their weddings due to the unprecedented GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Absolutely no one could have prepared for this, and it has been reassuring to know we could all at least lean on each other - except for the Park Savoy. I was therefore mortified when I found out the treatment of the bride and groom by The Park Savoy. On a professional level, they are blatantly ign... Read more

  • If I could give this wedding venue negative stars--I would. In a time where humanity should be at its highest, it seems all this wedding venue and management care about is maximizing their profit at the customer's expense. I have heard horror story after horror story about how this wedding venue is unresponsive and will not considering rescheduling a comparable wedding date for couples affected by COVID-19 and NJ regulations. As a bride to be myself (thankfully with a more understanding venue), I can't even fathom the emotional and financial distress that this venue is inflicting on couples. If you are looking for a wedding venue, I'd say do yourself a favor & not willingly book this nightmare.

  • Avoid this venue!! Due to COVID-19, we have all been having to re-adjust our lives. My friends were so excited to get married here, but they are completely ruining their wedding and the experience. They are not being flexible in providing appropriate dates for 2021 and now, they are completely unresponsive. My friends are stuck in a situation with an unresponsive venue and have no idea when their actual wedding will be. I have other friends getting married at other venues across the country, and they were all able to move their dates without any fight or issue. No one expected COVID-19 to happen and the NJ governor's office has said that indoor dining is suspended indefinitely, but the Park Savoy feels it is still reasonable to have a 185+ person wedding indoors? Continuing with this wedding would endanger the lives of those in attendance, as well as the staff. Completely unfair and unprofessional by the Park Savoy.

  • NOT WILLING TO ACCOMMODATE A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. I am the maid of honor in a wedding that was supposed to be at the Park Savoy this August. Despite the bride reaching out since MARCH of this year, the Park Savoy has been unwilling to accommodate or offer any reasonable rescheduling for this couple due to a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. The couple paid a premium amount for the wedding to be held on a Saturday evening, and options that the venue felt were reasonable to offer were Monday and Thursday nights?! The NJ governor's office has said that indoor dining is suspended indefinitely, yet the Park Savoy feels like they can reasonably have a 185+ person wedding indoors? The only way this would be possible is to endanger the lives of those in attendance, as well as the staff and IGNORING STATE AND FEDERAL GUIDELINES. Weddings are supposed to be a joyous occasion but the Park Savoy has turned it into a NIGHTMARE.

  • I would highly avoid booking any event at The Park Savoy after the way they have treated us. The past four months have been the most distressing and upsetting experience I’ve ever had working with a business, and I implore you to avoid them at all costs. Like many other couples, we planned our wedding for Summer 2020. Since the COVID pandemic hit the U.S. in March, we decided to not put our loved ones at risk for our day. My fiancé’s closest family members are extremely high risk, and we would never forgive ourselves if our wedding compromised their health. We reached out to the Park Savoy in March to figure out our options, and they pushed us off, saying it was too early. We understood- they have tons of weddings and we knew we needed to wait our turn. After months of reaching out to The Park Savoy and getting canned responses, we began to grow more concerned. We called and emailed them daily, pleading with them to allow us to protect our loved ones and push out our wedding. A... Read more

  • The Park Savoy does not care about their clients. They are pushing brides to have their 300+ person wedding during a pandemic. I don't care if it is outside, if family members are elderly or have cancer. YOU SHOULD ALLOW THEM TO CHANGE THEIR WEDDING DATE. To say they are unprofessional is an understatement. They are money hungry and heartless. It takes days and weeks to hear back from them, and when you finally hear from them they are rude. They should have enough compassion and understanding to at least NOT make the bride cry.

  • EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this venue. I was supposed to be in a wedding here in August, but the couple wished to postpone the event due to the GLOBAL PANDEMIC and their loved ones being high-risk. After avoiding their requests to discuss their options for months, The Park Savoy REFUSED to let the couple move to a Friday or Saturday in 2021, offering only Monday night dates (after the couple paid a PREMIUM for Saturday) and offered NO DISCOUNT. Now, they are not communicating with the couple at all. Unprofessional, inflexible, and downright rude.

  • Be very cautious booking your wedding with this venue!! They were NOT at all willing to work with my family in rescheduling their wedding due to COVID 19 and state restrictions on events. The managers of this venue have shown their true colors in the way they have handled customers during this pandemic. Weddings are stressful enough to plan - don’t make the mistake of adding these people to your list of problems.

  • I am exceptionally disappointed in The Park Savoy. After seeing all the positive reviews, I thought they would make our day magical. • I absolutely would not recommend the Park Savoy for your wedding – they are unprofessional, unresponsive and inflexible. We understand 2020 has created entirely unprecedented situations but for a venue that’s supposed to be so great I cannot believe how unresponsive and inflexible the team here has been. You’d think a venue like the Park Savoy would be flexible and understanding, helping those who have put down a TON of money to get married at their venue find a new date that is at least similar to the one they originally booked (ie at least ON A WEEKEND DAY). Given this may be our new normal, I would NOT book your wedding at the Park Savoy, given they don’t seem to care at all about their wedding couples being able to reschedule to a time when its safe. What’s supposed to be the best day of your life will be turned into a nightmare.

  • The Park Savoy exceeded our expectation from start to finish on a beautiful snowy evening in January. The food was superb, the service was excellent and the rooms were beautiful. Our guests loved everything about it, and many later sent us messages about how it was the best wedding they ever attended. From the start, where we had the pleasure of meeting with the owner Barry, throughout our year working with Melanie, Johanna, Renee, and Kathy, Sam, and then on our day with Mary and all of the staff, everyone went the extra mile to be sure our day was all we had hoped it would be. It went by quickly, so I especially appreciated our bridal attendants who helped us enjoy the day by making it easy in every way they could from bustling the dress and getting us a plate from each station at the cocktail hour. We dreamed of a perfect wedding day, and The Park Savoy make it happen!
