  • We used the Moeller's for our ceremony and cocktail hour music and they were fantastic. They were professional and played the songs we selected without issue. My grandma loved having them at the cocktail hour and has mentioned it numerous times since the wedding. Communication with Paul was easy and prompt. They are also reasonably priced - worth the cost without a doubt.

  • They were absolutely wonderful for our ceremony and cocktail hour music! Very easy to work with, really beautiful musicians, and stopped us quickly on their way out with really nice words about our wedding and wishes for our marriage. Highly recommend this duo.

  • Paul and Kerena made our wedding ceremony so very special. They NAILED a unique arrangement of David Bowie's "Space Oddity", that gave us and all of our guests chills. Both of them are talented beyond belief and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking to add layers of atmospheric wonder to their event. Cannot thank them enough. Bravo!

  • Moeller provided beautiful live music for both our ceremony and cocktail hour at the Newberry Library in November 2016. They learned a song at our request and the cocktail hour playlist was perfect. Paul was incredibly responsive and easy to work with in advance, and everything went off without a hitch. They are talented musicians and add a truly classy touch – we received many compliments!

  • We had Moeller Music provide ceremony music for our November wedding. They provided the perfect accompaniment to make our relatively brief ceremony feel more special, and we received many compliments from our guests. Paul was very responsive via email leading up to the big day, and everything ran smoothly the day-of. Even if you don't know exactly what kind of music you want, they are great about providing suggestions for a selection that fits the event and flows nicely. Highly recommend!

  • Paul and Kerena were really great to work with. we hired them for our cocktail hour. And from the beginning they were super professional and quick to respond. They worked with us the whole way and their music was a great touch to start the night off with. If you are looking for wonderful people to work with Paul and Kerena are the people to hire.

  • Paul and Kerena were absolutely amazing and one of my most favorite and memorable parts of our wedding day. Guests were raving about them after wards. We had them play during both our ceremony and cocktail hour. We had a DJ for reception. As our ceremony took place outside on the golf course at the country club, we wanted an instrumental sound that was soft, beautiful and not stuffy or too sharp. The combo of the cello and guitar was absolutely perfect. We provided Paul with our song requests for the ceremony about 2 weeks in advance. We went with traditional ceremony music for the ceremony and a mixture of contemporary and cocktail music for the cocktail hour which took place right after, also outside. The only thing we needed to provide for them on the day was an electrical outlet/cord and 2 seats (in the shade) - super easy. They arrived nice and early as the event they had scheduled earlier that afternoon finished earlier than expected which was so nice as they had even m... Read more

  • Paul and Kerena were fabulous! They were recommended to us by Rev. Dave Angle who officiated our wedding. We listened to a variety of their music online and decided to hire them. On the day of our wedding I walked down the aisle to them playing 1000 years. It was beautiful and made that moment so special. They played for our cocktail hour as well. Their quality and professionalism is a great value. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for ceremony, cocktail or reception music.

  • We were so impressed by these two, in so many ways! I actually happened across their website when I was trying to decide what kind of music we wanted for our wedding ceremony, and I was fascinated by the idea of a guitar-cello duo. I also loved that their repertoire included both classical and contemporary music, since we were learning more towards the contemporary route. I was thrilled to learn that they were actually available for our event! Paul and Kerena were very responsive via email, helping us solidify our music choices for the ceremony. We had some specific (and perhaps somewhat unusual) requests for them in terms of exactly how the ceremony would flow, and they were more than happy to accommodate. We also asked them to accompany a singer during the ceremony, and our singer remarked to us later about how professional they were, saying that "they were a godsend." Their music brought tears to the eyes of myself and my groom, and probably most of the guests. (We received a nu... Read more

  • Out of all of the vendors that I had for my wedding, this was the one that I was most frustrated with. Let me start by saying that their music is beautiful - but the lack of communication prior to my wedding day led to several issues that I am not happy about. Whereas all of my other vendors met with me in person or over the phone beforehand to hash out the details of the wedding, they did not. When I asked a few months before the wedding to meet in person during a trip to Chicago, they responded that they usually communicate via email. This was fine, but the lack of communication was evident day-of. First of all, after charging me an additional $150 for a wireless mic to use during the ceremony for our siblings to read passages, there was something wrong with the mic, and it kept going in and out and buzzing for an entire portion of the ceremony! It was embarrassing, and blemished the beauty of the passages that were read. *Edit: After several emails sent to me by this vendor afte... Read more

    responded with the following comments.

THEY BLAMED THE WRONG VENDOR:) The officiant caused every problem mentioned in this review. The officiant (hired by the bride and groom) showed up with her own mic that she insisted on using. We provided a perfectly functioning mic that she refused to use. She insisted on using her own cheap mic that malfunctioned but that was her choice. We offered a better solution but sometimes people can't be reasoned with. The officiant then told us she would be introducing the couple in order to cue the recessional music... she did not introduce them so there was a delay in starting the recessional because we were waiting for her to do what she said she would do. We set up inside for the cocktail hour because during the transition nearly the entire group of guests was inside . If they had simply asked us we would have been happy to move outside. It would've only taken a few minutes but nobody asked us on the day. Sometimes thing go wrong but in this case it was clearly the officiant's fault for any ceremony problems. We still wish this bride and groom all the best and we hold no hard feeling about being blamed. It was still a wonderful day and we have many nice memories of the guests telling us how much they loved the music! We have learned from this and we will no longer allow officiants to supply their own mic in any situation if they'd like to use our speakers. They will need to supply their own system entirely if they will not use our equipment exclusively. We use only high end equipment and for us this should be the standard. Best wishes, The Moeller Cello and Guitar Duo!

  • Paul and Kerena played at our wedding in September at A New Leaf in Chicago and I'm so glad my mom found them and asked them to play for our ceremony and cocktail hour! The music was perfect and really brought the elegance and atmosphere that we were looking for throughout our wedding! Most importantly I made some very specific requests to have music not only for the processional and recessional, but also after each reading during our ceremony with a song that was meaningful to each of our readers. They played Hey Jude, All You Need is Love, and Chicago and it was absolutely perfect. While we had a secular ceremony I wanted it to be about half an hour and feel very personal and the music really made that happen. During the cocktail hour outside their beautiful music gave the perfect, upbeat vibe. Leading up to the wedding Paul was so responsive to my (many) emails and I appreciate how accommodating and professional he was despite the fact that they must perform at so many weddings! Tha...
