  • I had a top notch experience with my gown selection and fittings. The gown I found was within my price range and the women helping me made the day very special. The seamstress was able to do all my alterations in two weeks with only an initial appointment and a pick up appointment. She had a lot of work to do and I was impressed.

  • By far one of the best dress shops I went to! Unfortunately I did not find my dress there, but the customer service was outstanding! I was there well over my scheduled appointment time, and the girls there were so helpful in trying to find me my perfect dress!

  • When I started out looking for my dress, I pretty much had it in my head that I was going to buy from David's Bridal. All of my bridesmaids are in a different state and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. It seemed like the easiest, natural pick. I went to David's, and it wasn't a horrible experience by any means, but the word that sums up my feelings there: underwhelmed. Now, I live in Howell and drive by The Dress Shop on at least a weekly basis. I just assumed by the look of the place that it would be far out of my budget. But on a whim, I saw they were having a trunk sale and thought, "What the heck, let's give it a try." And I am SO thankful I did! My consultant was SO incredibly helpful and accommodating. She let my party and I pick out dresses we'd like to try and then offered her opinion respectfully and only when asked for it.   • The initial dress shopping was great; my girls had fun and the salesperson really helped me zero in on what I wanted without making me feel pressured. Throughout ordering, delivery and alterations I never felt rushed, always listened to and respected. I felt beautiful on my wedding day. It wasn't the cheapest (or most expensive either), so probably not the place if you're looking for bargain basement pricing, but I looked at it as a once-in-a-lifetime expense and got exactly what I wanted.

  • I would recommend the dress shop to anyone! The shop is beautiful, the girls are amazing and the experience is all I could have dreamed of! Maddy was FANTASTIC!!! She pulled a dress for me, and it was the one after only trying on 5 dresses. She was so sweet, comforting and attentive! The mimosas were a perfect start to my morning and were a compliment to the experience of shopping with my mother. The ultimate girls day :)

  • Up until The Dress Shop, I had horrible experiences dress shopping. I'm a bridal gown 16, so I kept getting paraded around in dresses that were too small, standing on pedestals next to brides that better fit their sample sizes and it was hurting my self esteem. I was sick of searching through rows and rows of dresses trying to guess if the white poof in a garment bag would flatter me. I wanted a better, more intimate experience with a consultant who could help guide me into finding THE dress. Enter Brianna and The Dress Shop. First, we were running about 30 minutes because of a sleeping baby and snow, and they were so patient. I never felt rushed or like I inconvenienced them. We were brought into a private room where we chatted about my likes/dislikes. I was given pink rings to hang on the dresses I like and from there they would pull the dresses for me (who knew?!).   • The dress shop was the first place I tried on a wedding dress. This place was beautiful and their dresses were kept very nice. I found my dream wedding dress within an hour thanks to Erica. Erica was very helpful and knowledgable about all the dresses and the different styles. Erica made this experience very fun and exciting. Thank you Erica!!

  • We had a great shopping experience at this location although we didn't purchase anything. We booked a four hour appointment to look at bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses. We started with bridal gowns. The consultant took us to our room and asked a few questions then she gave us a tour of the store and allowed us to pick out a few gowns . I find this a bit overwhelming but I think most people would enjoy it. After she got some feedback from me on the gowns I had selected she picked a few more and her picks were spot on! We found a top contender in less than an hour! Next the girls tried on bridesmaid dresses and my mom tried on mother of the bride dresses. They had a nice selection and we found a few good options. The consultant was very knowledgeable about alterations and color options. This was our first shopping trip and there was no pressure from the consultant to make a purchase but it is very likely that we will be back!

  • STEER CLEAR OF THIS BRIDAL SHOP! I am the bride and have had SOO many issues with this establishment. Don't get me wrong they have plenty of dresses for viewing and trying on but, their customer service is HORRIBLE! Before I knew this I ended up purchasing my bridal gown and all of my bridesmaids dresses here. When it was the expected time for my bridal gown to come in they said they would contact me..they never did. I called and they said "yes, it is here it arrived last week." I was annoyed but somewhat pushed it aside. I then continued to make my two alterations appointments with the seemstress there, 4 months and 6 months in advanced. Months go by and it is now Jan. 2017, when all the bridesmaids dresses are suppose to be in. Like before they said they would contact me (the bride) to notify me. This time I give them the benefit of the doubt and wait an extra week before calling them. The week is now up, I call and ask about the bridesmaid dresses and yet again they say " Yes, they ...     Hello Lauren - Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know you were not 100% satisfied. I would like to chat one-on-one and see what we can do differently in the future. I did review your file, and we have a note saying that we left a voicemail when your dresses arrived. I do have a copy of the email that was also sent informing you that the dresses had arrived; I’d like to chat and see if we have all of your contact information correct. As you mentioned, we had a very bad season with our seamstress last year, unfortunately, and did have to close our alterations department early as a result of her untimely sickness. As a result of this, we have spent the last few months interviewing and hiring for our alterations department and will not be re-opening until we have multiple seamstresses and are sure that our clients will be 100% satisfied with their quality of work. I do have a note saying that we left you a voicemail regarding the situation, and I am deeply apologetic if that somehow was not received, as I understand what a terrible inconvenience this is for you.   • They didn't seem to care much after we made the final payment. When I picked up my dress, the gal that I had been working with made it seem like getting alterations done at their store would be easy and stress-free. That was far from the truth. I was under the impression (wrongfully or not) that they would be calling me to set up an alterations appointment. When I hadn't hear from them and we were getting down a little over a month away from the big day I called them to set up the appointment. It wasn't until I REACHED OUT TO THEM that they informed me they no longer had a seamstress on staff. Not only that, but they didn't have a SINGLE recommendation as to where I should go to take my all lace wedding gown. And when I brought up the fact that I felt I had been mislead by my consultant, the manager told me that "if you read your contract is states right there that alterations at The Dress Shop cannot be guaranteed".   • This shop is so easy to find! I was originally going to shop for my wedding dress here but had already found my dress earlier that day. They were so flexible to switch to finding my bridesmaids their dresses. Huge selection love love love!
