  • If you are in Hampton Roads, I would highly suggest The Catering Company. Not only were they so easy to work with, the staff and service was incredible. They also hold various events throughout the year for you to go and try out the food before you make a decision of what to go with. Leading up to the reception they were easy to work with and helped us along with everything we needed. The day of the reception was an actual breeze, we didn't have to stress or worry about anything, because they handled it all. Top notch all around!

  • Everything you could ever want from a caterer! The entire team was friendly and professional taking all of the stress out of the planning process. We are able to enjoy every moment of our special day with no worries. They thought of every detail and even had plates of dinner made for us so we would be able to enjoy our meal after visiting guests. Everyone raved about the food and our place setting were gorgeous. The linens matched our colors; they transformed a tent into a candlelit vintage themed venue.

  • From the moment we met Laura at a vendor wedding event in Williamsburg, we knew we had the right person and team to delivery a first class wedding reception experience for our daughter/guests. We met the executive Chef, selected and tasted a variety of first class cuisine that WOW'd our guests. The compliments flowed freely during the reception and the presentation and execution by Laura's team was impeccable. We had absolutely ZERO issues during the entire planning process, as we placed our full trust/confidence that Laura and her team would deliver a delicious and seamless experience. The quality of our food, beverages and the service experience SCREAM find Laura and The Catering Company for not just weddings, but for any other type of event. You will never be disappointed you selected this experienced Professional.

  • The Catering Company was a perfect choice to cater our wedding! Laura is fantastic and created a wonderful spread for all to enjoy. The food was delicious and the displays looked amazing! We received numerous compliments on the food with some saying it was the best food they've had at a wedding. Thanks again for everything!

  • Loved working with The Catering Company for my June 2016 wedding! Laura and her team helped me craft a all-vegetarian Mexican-themed menu that included quesadillas, chopped salad, and family-style make your own tacos. Guests told me that the food was unique, delicious, and very appropriate for a hot summer wedding in Williamsburg, VA! They created cool citrus centerpieces that fit the laid back style of my dinner and mixed awesome drinks and cocktails (sangria and margaritas). Before and during my wedding, their team was incredibly helpful and responsive, and helped me solve a number of logistical issues (space and seating arrangements, adjusting the timeline of my outside reception due to the heat index). They made my wedding and reception a great success - it was a pleasure working with them and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for catering in the Williamsburg area!

  • Let me start off by saying that The Catering Company was fabulous. From the beginning they where listened to our vision and created a menu and event that enhanced our style. Laura was incredible about answer all my one million questions. In hindsight I was a bit over the top. When our venue changed midway thought the planning process The Catering Company changed things up and revised our menu without hesitation. The day of our wedding all the billion details and plans fell perfectly in place and the food was amazing. Many of my guest say it was the tastiest wedding they have ever attended. Thank you for making a great memory.

  • Laura Reeves and her staff did an excellent job with our rehearsal dinner. She is very creative and experienced with these types of events and once we came up with a theme, she took our ideas and added decorations from her inventory that really made the event pop. Her staff was excellent and well-trained and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend her company for your event.

  • Laura is a SUPERHERO. She has so much experience, and you can really tell. She made everything easy and not overwhelming-- which is quite an accomplishment for such an important part of the reception. Her team even set up our centerpieces and miscellaneous tables (gift, guest book, etc) for us and everything looked amazing. The food was delicious, we opted for stations and we received multiple compliments from our guests. You will not be disappointed in using the Catering Company.

  • The Catering Company is absolutely amazing. The most professional and friendliest staff, ready and willing to do whatever it took to keep our day perfect. Paula made sure we both got a plate full of food, and made sure we ate first. The buffet line went extremely smooth, and the food was absolutely amazing. Definitely a top notch experience with this company. Do not hesitate and miss out on what they have to offer.

  • We had a very bad experience for my daughter's wedding at the end of June and would definitely never recommend them. The initial encounters with The Catering Company were upbeat. They were going to take a care of every detail. Once the contract was signed things changed. They were not responsive and full of excuses - everyone was sick, they were extremely busy, etc.. When the big day came, the staff was too busy hanging out to man their stations to attend to the guests. They served the wrong food. They served sauces out of jars. Sloppy and unprofessional. When contacted to address the problems after the wedding, they never responded.

  • To start I was so excited I had found a vendor who I didn't have to stress about! I went to several events they held, where I spoke with Laura several times about the details I wanted for my day! We spoke about having a sauce bar and plain barbeque, so my guests could choose what they wanted! The fact that they were able to do this for me was one of the main reasons we signed the contract! I met with Laura several times to go over the menu and all the details we wanted. Our last meeting was about six weeks before the event, where we asked to receive a revised copy of the contract. We emailed her several times, received no response and only received the contract 3 days before the wedding, which was incorrect. We agreed to pay extra for spinach dip, which didn't show up to the cocktail hour. The meat already had sauce and had an awful plain display (not what she showed us). Her bartenders didn't even come with a wine key and served my champagne toast during the cocktail hour. They mutila... Read more

  • I am unable to fit my entire experience into wedding wire without exceeding the allowed limit. Check out google reviews to see why I had such a negative experience. From Laura and Craig not telling us they would not be at our event (despite having planned everything with Laura). We found out the day of when they were not there what was happening. Needless to say they're huge part on our wedding was a disaster. I feel like they just tried to sell us on good things and their follow through fell extremely short of the expectations they set. Please check out other caterers. They're staff we're friendly and helpful and the food was good (overpriced though), but it doesn't make up for the terrible issues were had to deal with. Even they're staff seemed fed up and irritated with them. And a quote to leave you with "if 95% of the balls are in place we consider it a successful event." Nevermind that the 5% dropped were HUGE.

    responded with the following comments.

It pains us to no end to have a client dissatisfied with the outcome any of our events. This, for some reason, is compounded when it is a wedding. However, sometimes for numerous reasons expectations are not met. Never to cast or share blame, but there are often two or three sides to a story or circumstances that effect an events outcome. For you and all clients, we wish to stand on our 25 year reputation of service and hundreds of successful and amazing events in this space as a company. Additionally, tromping in the mud hole that this event has become in your eyes, serves no higher purpose and will mend no fences. Additional commentary, facts, and rebuttal will be happily addressed for anyone with questions regarding the matter. Craig & Laura Reeves 757-220-8011

  • Really enjoyed working with Laura and team on our wedding at the Williamsburg Winery. The food was delicious and everyone said so! We had 98 guests for a seated dinner with a full bar and a lovely cocktail hour. We had the wrong salad served, though it was delicious as well...and we had no complaints. The bartenders were very friendly as well! The linens and table set up was perfect! Highly recommend the Catering Company.

  • The Catering Company did a great job at our wedding. The food was great and everything went smoothly on our day. They were able to comply to our every request, and we had a lot! I would recommend meeting in person/over the phone to discuss details, as we did have a some very minor miscommunications via email that could have been settled earlier. But everything worked out great. The food was really delicious and service was great. Our guests were very impressed.

  • The Catering Company catered our wedding on 6/21/2014 in Williamsburg, VA. We had about ~170 people. Laura was extremely helpful in the planning process as we debated menu and set-up options. I was also very pleased with their linen and decor selection. They did a great job in setting up the food in an aesthetically appealing way. My one complaint and point of direction if you use them is to give very explicit instruction on liquor service. We had a specialty bourbon bar and I'd assumed the staff would know which bourbon to serve with mixed drinks (the more basic bourbon in bigger size bottles) and which bourbon to reserve for the bar (the single barrel, lower quantity items) however the bartenders used our fancy bourbon bar, double-oaked, expensive bourbon in mixed drinks even when guests did not specifically ask for it. I'm not sure if this is because they'd temporarily lost the cheaper bourbon or just didn't know better. We ended up having multiple unopened bottles of the ch... Read more
