  • I'm so happy I bought my dress through The Brides Project - I was able to find an absolutely gorgeous dress for my wedding. It was a little above my budget, but because the money all goes to the Cancer Support Network, I didn't mind paying a little bit more than I had planned. Everyone I worked with in the shop was wonderful - very friendly, down-to-earth, and none of the pressure that I felt at some of the other bridal boutiques in the Ann Arbor area. They were willing to let me try on as many dresses as I wanted, let me go through the racks and pull things on my own, and set aside a few of my favorites so my mom could come see them when she was in town a week later. I also used Jan for my alterations - she was very reasonably priced and did a great job letting out the dress and hemming it, but I had a lot of issues with my bustle loops breaking when I was on the dance floor at the reception - I had an under-bustle and I think my heels were catching inside the fold when I danced. • Lovely place to get a gown. They were patient and allowed me to come back 3 times to see my dress and discuss alterations! Very patient, accommodating, and affordable. The beautiful thing is everyone here donates their time and still go above and beyond to help you, and every penny goes to support a great cause. The consultant saw the dresses I was looking at and actually picked out the gown I chose. Even if you have a dress come here for your veil very beautiful and again money goes to a great cause. I suggest them to everyone. The only downside is the store itself isn't very bridal professional (because its donated) and doesn't make you feel like a special bride, more like just another thrift store. Just bring your girlfriends and they can do that for you! It is clean and as long as you know what to expect you will have a great experience.

  • The Brides Project is amazing. Nearly every dress is under $1000 (aside from some very high end gowns), the dresses are in great condition, large selection, proceeds go to a good cause, and every staff member I interacted with was amazing. The customer service was a million times better than what I'd experienced at other boutiques. Even if I hadn't found my dream dress, I would recommend this vendor.

  • I bought my wedding dress from the brides project, I thought they were amazing. All the dresses looked brand new and there were so many to choose from! More variety than I have seen in any bridal shop. Prices are extremely affordable, and alll proceeds go to charity! So, not only are you getting a dress for 1/4 of what you would pay somewhere else, every penny of your money is going to help ppl with cancer!

  • If you're not familiar with The Brides Project, their mission is simple. The are a volunteer organization that takes in donated bridal gowns (both previously worn and brand new from bridal salons), with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Cancer Support Community of Greater Ann Arbor. I discovered The Brides Project from a friend who is a volunteer there, and I knew that when the day came for me to look for my wedding dress, this was the place I was to begin my search. Well that day came, and I was easily able to set up an appointment to try on dresses. The volunteers there are very flexible and schedule appointments based on the bride's schedule, and they are trained just as any other bridal consultant would be at any other bridal salon. With an organization like this that takes in donated gowns, the selection of dresses really just depends on what they happen to have in store. I got very lucky and found my perfect dress there all the time. If I hadn't found my dress during the fir... Read more
