  • We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the TFWC in March and couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! Not only was the courtyard beautiful for an outdoor ceremony and the ballroom breathtaking for the reception, but Mari, the manager, was so great to work with! It's a historic building with southern charms and so many of my guests commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. Not only that but they allow outside catering so I was able to have New Fortune Restaurant cater an 8 course asian banquet and had an open bar for a fraction of what I would've paid elsewhere. Another great thing about the Fed is that it's in downtown Austin making if convenient for guests since it's only a 5 minute uber ride from their hotels instead of an hour bus ride to Dripping Springs. We absolutely recommend this venue for any bride who wants a unique venue with lots of character and charm rather than the typical hotel ballroom.

  • My husband and I had our wedding at the TFWC Mansion, and we were so pleased with how it turned out. We worked with Mari throughout the planning process, and she was more than accommodating when it came to our questions and visits to double check the space. The price point for the venue is very reasonable, especially in comparison to other wedding venues. We were able to go with a Saturday wedding instead of Sunday because the prices were so similar. It was also greatly convenient having rentals available through the venue. We arrived the day of, and the tables and chairs were all set up and ready to go how we wanted, and we were able to leave them at the end of the night. Overall, we were so happy with our experience at the Mansion.

Thanks, Makayla! I'm so happy to hear that all went so well. I really enjoyed working with you and wish you and your husband the best.

  • The Mansion was an absolute dream to get married in. My husband and I had our ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail hour in the front rooms, and the dinner/reception in the ballroom. The Mansion has so much charm, history, and beauty so you don't have to add much to make for a stunning wedding. Our guests were so impressed and we received many compliments. We could not have been happier with our experience here. An added bonus is that my parents got married here 35 years ago so The Mansion is extra special to us and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

  • The perfect venue! It was the first one I looked at and the other ones couldn’t compare! Everyone who works there is incredibly nice and professional. It was easy to set up multiple walk throughs during the planning process with a quick email!

  • Our guests could not say enough wonderful things about this venue. It’s natural decor makes decorating easy and simple. The Mansion is gorgeous from the moment you walk into the front door to the ballroom in the back. We had about 120 guests and The Mansion’s size and multiple rooms makes having a larger group feel less crowded. From the moment my husband and I went to look at the venue Mari has been nothing but helpful and patient. She was always quick to respond to our emails and made this part of the planning process easy. Thanks Mari!

  • TFWC Mansion is a wonderful Austin wedding venue that is centrally located where your guests can easily get to and from. It has a built in rain plan and a few ceremony space options. This venue was one of the only ones in the city that can comfortably accommodate more than 150 guests at a reasonable price and not to mention how beautiful the venue is without much need for extra decor. Mari, the venue manager, is absolutely phenomenal to work with.

  • The Mansion was the PERFECT choice for our wedding venue! The ambience and unique characteristics of the venue suited our personal aesthetics to the detail and we loved how welcoming the space was for our large guest list. Mari was a breeze to work with and we were floored by the amazing value of the venue for everything you got. We brought in some outside vendors to assist with extra decor here and there, but honestly, we could have had the same event with very little extra brought in and it still would have looked wonderful. This is a fantastic (and very central) Austin venue and we are glad to have had made one of our biggest life memories here!

  • Mari, at the Texas Federation was so easy to work with, she was also very accommodating and helpful with our needs and questions. The venue itself is just beautiful, and spacious. We got so many compliments. This place was the best value for being in the middle of Austin!

  • The Mansion was the ideal venue for our daughter’s wedding reception. Not only is the traditional architecture stunning and accommodating, it was a comfort to know the venue could handle our daughter’s moving-target guest list. All the etiquette books assured us most of her invitees would be on vacation in July, but when guest number 300 RSVP’d, we rested in the assurance that everyone would have a seat while every dancer would have room to Wobble. Mari was a delight to work with throughout every phase of the planning; she was not only professional, but flexible and hospitable, like the southern manor she represents. At the end of the night, we had future brides saying they can’t wait to book the venue, and young married couples regretting they hadn’t checked it out. The Mansion is definitely the best “bang for your buck” in Austin!

  • Finding a wedding venue in Austin can be difficult, especially depending on the time of year you are looking for. We had visited several venues around town, and we kept running into venues that either A) were full-service: provided food, cake, rentals, etc...which could end up being really pricey and gives you less control; or B) were just an empty room in a venue that wasn't really intended to hold weddings and would require a lot of work to plan/organize/make wedding appropriate. We finally came across the TFWC mansion and from the instant we walked in the front doors, we knew we had found our place. The building is truly stunning and has so much charm and character. We worked with Mari who is so sweet and knowledgeable. She has seen a lot of events/weddings take place here, so she has a lot of great advice. She was always very easy to reach when we did have questions. We rented the whole house and held our ceremony and reception in the grand ballroom (big blue room at the... Read more

  • Absolutely beautiful venue for a wedding! The ballroom is magical and HUGE, the courtyard is intimate and picturesque, and the front parlors are perfect for cocktail hour. It was a great one stop shop for our whole wedding day, and the icing on the cake is the fact that you get to pick all your own vendors and are able to save a ton of money on alcohol since it's byob, so you just need bartenders :) Mari was our venue coordinator, and she was always quick to respond, allowed me to come see the venue numerous times between booking and the big day, and coordinated the chair and table rentals (even after I realized I had just missed the date I was supposed to order by), basically, Mari was wonderful! The only thing I wish was allowed, was if we could have left some of the bigger props until the next morning to pick up, but everything had to be out by the end time of your reserved hours (this is probably because they host so many weddings though, and often have one the next day, so it tot... • Austin is a very competitive city for wedding venues due to its young population and limited number of quality venues! The Mansion is almost completely unique in this city for being a spacious, centrally located, beautiful, affordable wedding venue with parking. Believe me, I did the research! Especially if you're having a large wedding of 150+ people, there really are very few other options within the city limits. The Mansion is a non-profit and they are honest and fair with their pricing. The building is also incredibly beautiful and historically interesting. Every time I walk in, I forget how gorgeous it is and have to catch my breath. It's really an extremely impressive work of architecture. Photos don't do the space justice. It needs very little additional decor. My husband and I got married here on 6/3/17 and I have no complaints whatsoever about the venue or its management. Mari is a wonderful, kind and patient woman who graciously put up with a lot of confusion and questions... Read more

  • Can't say enough good things about Mari and the Fed. We walked through the place at least four or five times before our wedding date, and Mari was always prompt in returning our emails and accommodating with scheduling. We needed a space that could fit 250+ people comfortably, and there's a surprising lack of venues in downtown/central Austin that can accommodate that number and also allow you to bring in your own vendors. An added bonus, the Fed is run by a nonprofit- you can feel good about where your money is going (and the tax-free charges are pretty nice, too). The front rooms and ballroom are gorgeous and full of character, fun for out-of-town visitors. Parking in the immediate area is a little tight, but there's a garage less than two blocks away that's included when you book the venue. They also have their own tables and chairs available for rental. While you can bring in your own, the Fed will set up their tables and chairs ahead of time, saving you valuable time and m... • The Texas Women's Federation Mansion was a fairytale venue. We loved the flexibility of the location, because we initially thought we would have an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard, but when the weather turned chilly, we were able to quickly move to one of the indoor rooms. We also received so many compliments from the guests. It was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. There were two small communication issues which is why I reduced the score from all 5.0 stars; however, those were the *only* two MINOR details which were resolved -- the staff at the Mansion were very flexible and easy to work with, it was an absolutely beautiful event, and I would do it all over again at the Mansion in a heartbeat!!
