  • I hired Stacy to do weekend-of coordination for my insane-over-the-top-weekend-long-burning-man-style wedding in May of 2019. It was three days of craziness at a summer camp in the San Bernardino national forest, and it the event was guaranteed to challenge any planner’s abilities – but Stacy assured me she could handle it. Turns out she couldn’t. All throughout the planning process, Stacy was incredibly hard to reach and painfully slow about returning my communications. She’d promised to be available to help me evaluate vendor contracts (read them through for me and let me know if I should be concerned about any clauses), help me negotiate my arrangements with the venue, basic stuff like that – but I would often have to chase her down with a half-dozen texts and emails and a lot of stress before she would respond. And each time, she had some excuse about how her power had gone out or her cell phone wasn’t working or her internet was down or something equally inane. I’... Read more

  • I was referred to Stacy Shaw through LadyMarry, where I was able to select between 2 Wedding Day of Coordinators with only knowing their background and no names so I was unable to search reviews. I decided to go with Stacy because she said she had 5 years experience. Below are reasons why I have given her 1 star for my review: 1. She was late in sending my wedding timeline and said it was sent to the "incorrect e-mail". Once the timeline was approved by me and supposedly sent to my vendors, they unfortunately were not. My photographer, caterer and DJ had to e-mail requesting the timeline and Stacy said the "timeline apparently didn't go out correctly to most vendor's". I believe the timeline never went out in the first place as I never had issues with communicating with the vendors. 2. I was not reminded of any vendor payments leading me to be late in paying some of my vendors even though this was stated in my contract that Stacy would remind me. I had sent out every contract to ... Read more

We are so sorry you feel this way. We value every single review, as they help us to grow and learn and continually be better. We only wish you had spoken to us directly about your concerns. I would like to address a few of your stated concerns. 1. -I originally sent it quite late at night, and was handtyping the address, and I apparently mistyped it, causing it to not send to you, instead bouncing back to me a few hours later, however I didn't see the notice right away. That is absolutely my fault. However, I did not lie in that it was sent incorrectly. During our final Video Meeting, I mentioned that I was discontinuing use of the email account as I was having some difficulties with the system - It's been an ongoing battle to get my emails seen by clients and vendor's alike, as it seems my address has been flagged as Spam somehow. So although a few vendor's got the original, most it seemed did not see it... So it was resent after I also very carefully checked the email addresses I had for each, owing to the first problem with mistyping your email address. 2. I was not reminded of any vendor payments leading me to be late in paying some of my vendors even though this was stated in my contract that Stacy would remind me. I had sent out every contract to Stacy at least 6-10 months prior to the wedding so she was aware of all of the dates. -Our contract was for Month of Coordination, The duties that fall to me under your contract with LM are for month of specific items. Creating the Timeline, and Day of being the primaries. Additionally, when you chose me as your coordinator, I sent over a more detailed contract for you that went into depth about what my specific roles would be. Nowhere in those duties did it specify reminding you of payments. Additionally, as we start working with you a month prior to your wedding date, and all quality vendor's require final payments 30 days prior, it is typically not even possible for us to send reminder's for final payments. I did encourage you to send over contracts as you got them, so you didn't have to worry about that in the last month when we started working on your event, and I did your walkthrough earlier than normal to accomodate your long distance planning schedule, however, I was not scheduled to begin any work on your event until the month prior to your wedding date. 3. During the day of the wedding I asked her to help light candles during cocktail hour, unfortunately once I was up there, none of the candles were lit. I made sure to ask that the candles during dinner were lit in case those were forgotten as well. -I will absolutely take responsibility for the unlit cocktail hour candles - however, I had only 2 hours prior to the ceremony start time, which means only 1.5 hours before guest arrival to get 300 candles placed, confirm details with the Banquet Captain, ensure that the ceremony space was setup properly, Walk your wedding party through the rehearsal details, and clean up any debris. Unfortunately, that meant that I did indeed forget to hike back up to the cocktail area prior to ceremony to light the dozen candles placed earlier. For that, you have my apologies. 4. Before the wedding, I handed her all the menus and table numbers. I told my bridesmaid to check that all the table numbers were placed correctly before all the guests headed to dinner and NONE were placed, my bridesmaid had to remind Stacy. During dinner I noticed NO menu's were placed on each guests table setting, and I had to tell my bridesmaid to run and inform Stacy, and that's when she handed each guest a menu. - As to Tables #'s - I was just finishing up with getting the roughly 200 candles in your reception area lit, and was about 5 minutes from going to grab the table #s to set them properly when you sent your bridesmaid to me with them and the coloring books for the children. It had not actually been forgotten, They were one of the last things I had on my set list to be done, which you had sent over the week prior. As for the Menu Cards, Yes, I did forget to get them out. However, I did say during our first meeting that you would need to have a complete set list of your personal decor items for me, which when you sent it over, did not include either the menu's or the coloring books. Because my company, and often I do 2-8 weddings each month, it is imperative to have that set list of everything you have planned for your wedding. Had I been your full planner, I would absolutely known that you had those months prior, but as your month of coordinator, I did not have any idea those existed until you told me the day of, 2 hours prior to your ceremony. So my deepest apologies for having not set them out. In conclusion, I'd like to say, we learned a lot from this experience - and we are currently setting up systems to prevent these types of things from happening again in the future, from a completely different email system, to a better method of collecting the required data. Thank you again SOOOO much for sharing these concerns with us, as they have proven invaluable to us in creating a better, more positive experience for our future clients.

  • I was going to have my best friend officiate our wedding. After talking to lots of people, I realized the officiant is one of the most important vendors you can hire. I started looking and talked to quite a few people. Most were " this is what I do " and didn't seem real personal. My last call was to Stacy and we are so glad we did. She wrote a ceremony and we reviewed it. She made the changes and it was perfect. On our wedding day , she kept me relaxed and told us not to worry about our vows. Everything was great, If you are looking for a professional officiant , Stacy is the one for you.

  • I was referred to Stacy on a Facebook group when, just 2 weeks before my wedding, both my officiant and back-up officiant fell through! I contacted her and she was beyond helpful and present. Then a cousin proposed being our officiant and, since we really wanted family to do it, we thanked her and passed. One week later HE FELL THROUGH! Man, I was so embarrassed to call Stacy again, just one week before the wedding. But we did call her and I am so glad that we did. Stacy rearranged her schedule for us to make it work. We had a GREAT phone call with her where we talked for probably an hour (I'm a talker, I'm sure you don't HAVE to talk that long, haha!) about everything from how we met to the embarrassing things we have done together drunkenly. It was such a fun phone call and at the end of it I knew she really understood our spirit. She had the ceremony written in just a few days and sent it to us for approval, she came to rehearsal, on our wedding day she dressed to match ... Read more

  • When I had to cancel my venue and previous planner last minute (3 days prior to event) I freaked out. So lucky I found Lauren Nicole Ahart in Las Vegas!! She threw everything together in 2 days, was in constant contact with me, got us the perfect officiant, and made me so calm and comfortable!! I was happier with her 3 days of service than my 7 months of planning with other (not named) people. Lauren, thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommend for an Awesome Las Vegas wedding!

  • Stacy has a spitfire personality and when we first corresponded, I knew we would get along well. She informed me she was a very "hands on" coordinator and she did not exaggerate. Stacy was literally on her hands and knees helping me with my train that unfortunately was ripped out of its bustle. Fear not, she would hand sew it on, pin it, anything to ensure I was comfortable in my dress. Coordination wise, the day of went flawlessly; not that there weren't hiccups, but Stacy made sure our timeline went smoothly, even when we were a little behind d/t circumstances that were out of our control. I didn't want or need for anything and what makes it even better, I was able to ENJOY my wedding. Please consider her when looking for a planner/coordinator. Stacy and her team are all sweethearts.

  • I got married October 18th of this year and stacy was my officiant. I did not have a good experience at all. She showed up to my venue about 40 min late claiming she had car trouble but she never even bothered to try and call and say she would be late. We called multiple times and literally a min before I was going to walk down the aisle she shows up. She didn't come well dressed and looked like she almost just fell out of bed. She forgot to include my sand ceremony so completely just skipped that part. Needless to say it was probably the worst part of my day. I got refunded some of the money not all of it. I was really unleaded with her services and I would never recommended her to anyone.
