When I went to Sweet Althea’s and tasted Kim’s butter cream, I knew she had to make my wedding cake. I wanted to make sure we had a good cake and not a standard, boring wedding cake. We ended up choosing her Oreo flavor with the white butter cream, and it was delicious. The cake looked beautiful with the navy ribbon on each tier and small silver star decorations to go with my star theme. I loved the cake so much that I will definitely go back and get cake for other special occasions from Sweet Althea’s!

We had cake pops as favors for our wedding, and they were amazing. Everyone kept telling me how delicious they were, and they looked cute too. She went out of her way to get the exact look I was hoping for and I could't be happier with the end results. I wish I lived closer, I'd order them again!

Kim and her team at Sweet Althea's were great! We had sampled some cupcakes for Christmas an knew right away we wanted them at or wedding. We met with Kim and went over our overall theme and flavors we liked, and she whipped some up for us to taste. We ended up with a Kahlua Cappuccino, pumpkin with cinnamon buttercream frosting, and a chocolate peanutbutter. They were so good!!! Everyone enjoyed them, I wish we had some left overs! Communication and delivery were great. Highly recommend!

Kim, the owner, is so fantastic. She's very easy to talk to and so accommodating! She made cupcakes for my wedding along with a 6 inch cake for the cutting. We got the cupcakes in oreo and salted caramel and the cake was pumpkin spice with cinnamon frosting- they were all to die for. She set it up beautifully creating an awesome beach theme with brown sugar and sea shells. I loved working with Kim and would definitely use Sweet Althea's again!

Kim was awesome and easy to communicate with. She was flexible when the rain delayed our arrival by half an hour, coming from NYC. Cake tasting and actual cake were both delicious - vanilla icing with chocolate butter scotch flavor cake! It was delivered on time. We & all the guests loved the presentation & flavor of the cake!

For our wedding, we had Sweet Althea's make cakes as the centerpieces for the reception tables. We also had them make our wedding cake. They made the most delicious cakes and worked with the dietary restrictions that we had (We had to have one cake that was vegan and nut free and also our wedding cake needed to be dairy free.) Our guests raved about the cake and are actually still raving about it. Both of our families made special requests for us to get Sweet Althea's cakes for our Christmas celebrations too! We planned the wedding from Seattle and held it in Narragansett and corresponding with them could not have been easier. They were very prompt in responding to emails and also took the long distance planning in stride. They were able to set up a morning tasting with our parents and kept us involved throughout the process. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Sweet Althea's made delicious cakes for our wedding! They worked with us regarding special dietary needs and delivered beautiful, great tasting cakes. Not only was Sweet Althea's prompt and responsive, but they kept us in the loop and communicated through the whole process. My husband and I live across the country and Sweet Althea's was willing to work with the challenge of a long distance wedding! We would absolutely recommend them for any of your bakery needs!

Kim is wonderful! We came to her with an idea and budget in mind and she worked with us to make it happen. Quality is amazing, tastes delicious and great value. We got so many compliments from our guests, they couldn't get enough. We will be using her a lot for all events in the future.

Kim at Sweet Althea's was so great to work with! I am a big cake fan and I sampled a few other cake vendors and thought she had the best tasting cake and the best prices. The cake for our wedding was absolutely delicious and so beautiful. It was one of my favorite things about the wedding. We were also very pleased to be able to work with a local vendor in Narragansett. I would recommended her to any Southern New England Bride!

Sweet Althea's created our wedding cake and was wonderful to work with. I have Celiac's Disease which made having a cake really difficult. Sweet Althea's was able to create a gluten free top layer of the cake and "float" it above the rest of the cake to keep me safe. It was great working with them -- I knew I was in good hands as before anything went into the cake they checked with me to make sure it was gluten free! If you're looking for personal service, they are a great choice!
