The folks at Southern Harvest helped us cater a fantastic meal for our reception in late September. They were wonderful through the entire planning process, and pivoted quickly to accommodate changes due to COVID restrictions and a postponement from an original Spring date. They coordinated a small backyard gathering complete with bar, signature cocktail, appetizers, and a three-course plated dinner with mini-pies for dessert. Everything was both safe and delicious!

Before I met Rachelle, I was nervous about booking a bartender. We were on a tight wedding budget and I had no idea how the bar was supposed to work. Rachelle explained everything on the phone and over emails, outlining all our options. I'm so grateful she was patient with me because my future mother in law had about as many questions as I did! We figured out an arrangement that worked for our guest list, then COVID hit and we downsized from 100 to 8 people. That definitely changed our bar budget and Rachelle was quick to contact me and make different arrangements. Their picks were so on point, my mom even had a drink or two and I've only ever seen her enjoy a few sips of champagne on New Year's Eve! Rachelle was wonderful to work with and completely understanding of all the changes we had to make nearly last-minute. We're so glad we connected with her and any bride who does the same in the future will as well!

We choose to work with Southern Harvest at the last minute when we changed our venue to accommodate a smaller guest list. We only used them for bar service but their service was wonderful. Very quick to respond to emails and flexible as our plans changed rapidly.

Southern Harvest was a key part in making our wedding day truly magical. Tom and Lisa are rock stars. I know part of the reason they loved us was because we were getting married on a goat farm, but it went a lot deeper than that. We loved being around Tom and Lisa, and we felt like they were as excited about our wedding as we were! (Which, let's be honest, is pretty rare). They put so much love and effort into our wedding. We had multiple meetings and tastings with them to perfect our menu. They were easily available for any questions or calls. They came to our venue to figure out logistics closer to the wedding date. The food blew us and our guests away, and the presentation exceeded our expectations. The other staff were so helpful and friendly. Tom and Lisa were there on the wedding day too! Lisa checked in on us many times to see if we needed anything. They're not phoning it in, they really care, and we were so lucky to have them.

Tom, Lisa, and the entire Southern Harvest Team truly treated us like family from the moment we met them and constantly went above and beyond to make sure every single aspect of our wedding menu was perfectly tailored to our vision and budget. Tom arranged for us to attend MULTIPLE private tastings and was extremely helpful in offering up suggestions about what kinds of dishes/setup would work best for our venue and guest count. With his help, we selected a southern/local menu that guests absolutely RAVED about. On the day of the wedding, the entire Southern Harvest team treated my partner and I like royalty, frequently checking on us to make sure we had drinks and food and making sure that we were being completely taken care of. They even personally served us at the beginning of dinner so we wouldn’t have to go through the buffet line and packaged up to-go boxes for us so we’d have dinner for the next day. By choosing to work with Southern Harvest, we literally saved THOUSANDS of dollars (compared to what we would have spent if we had gone with one of the bigger catering companies in the triangle area), but the quality AND presentation of food, service, and professionalism could not have been topped. We used Southern Harvest catering for our wedding on 12.08.18. The whole team on the wedding day were amazing. We worked with Fallon for a majority of the planning time and she was awesome! She came with me for a walk through at the venue and really made sure we had things set to go for the big day and was easy to get in contact with. We did a buffet and the food was delicious! They also served Daniel and I so that we didn't have to do anything that night which was so nice! Highly recommend!! Thanks again for making our day so special!

Off site catering food isn't always easy to find when you want a quality product that holds and tastes amazing, but we found it with Southern Harvest! Falon was great to work with, organized and knowledgeable. She made sure the service team had every piece of information they needed so I (the bride) didn't have to worry with anything! We had stations and everything was set up picture perfect and OMG the food was so good! Our venue is newer and the owners wanted Southern Harvest contact information because they said it was the best food they have had there yet, plus they were so amazed at how organized the service was! We wanted to serve two courses that were not part of their menu and the owner and Chef was more than happy to create for us and I'll say it again, their creation was amazing! Falon and her team were amazing to work with for our rehearsal dinner. She communicated amazingly in the weeks leading up to our wedding. The food arrived one time and was hot and delicious and very much fit our down-home country BBQ theme for the rehearsal dinner. Our biggest regret for the wedding? Not hiring her team to cater the wedding too! They were a dream to work with and met our expectation perfectly.

So many of family and friends complimented the services provided by Southern Harvest Catering Company the day of our wedding. From the setup to cleanup, they were absolute lifesavers not to mentioned SUCH great value for the services provided. Guests were impressed by the little things, the passed appetizers, their apparel, professionalism, organization, and OH YEAH, the delicious food from Q Shack! Falon took over a few weeks before our wedding and was amazing! She helped ease my mind with a flawless timeline and gameplan going into the wedding day. She even showed up to make sure things went off without a hitch! This company went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect.

Southern Harvest catered our wedding at the Museum of Life & Science. We had a mixed experience with Southern Harvest, so this is a hard review to write. We got married at the museum of life & science and chose southern harvest because they are the only catering company that is allowed to use the onsite kitchen and because we loved our interactions with Laura. Throughout our planning process, the main contact changed to Falon, who is incredibly nice and knowledgeable about weddings, in general. She was invested in figuring out how to make things work for us. But there was a bit of a learning curve as she adjusted to the new company. We met many staff members throughout group tastings and other Museum events. But when it came time for our private tasting, of our actual menu, there wasn’t a single Southern Harvest employee present. Although most of the food was good, we weren’t able to try everything on our menu for some reason. After discussing it with Falon, she arranged for a seco... Read morend private tasting, at no cost to us, to remedy those issues. That tasting went great! We didn’t have a problem with communication at any point during the planning process. However, on our wedding, everything fell apart. Service was terrible. We didn’t recognize a single staff member at our wedding. We were missing some of the food that was on our menu and we were missing some of the specific items we had asked for (e.g., a carafe of water on our sweetheart table). Staff were slow (or just didn’t) refill our container of canned sodas. We had to ask multiple times for staff to cut the cake. We never even got our take home boxes of food at the end of the night. This wasn’t a case of things go wrong but guests have no idea. The majority of our guests were aware of several of these issues - there were no buns initially for our sliders. And our food stations were just separated buffet tables - there weren’t staff at them as we’d thought. It was so bad that the owner contacted us by email the next day, apologizing and offering to make it right. He did give us a partial refund, which is a nice gesture. But it doesn’t change the fact that one of the most important aspects of our reception was a complete fail. The food they did make was good, and it’s fresh since they can use the onsite kitchen. But once we got our photos back, it turns out that 3 staff used our photo booth. If we’d had great service, that would’ve been fine. But instead it’s just irritating since the service was so bad. Overall, I’m not sure if we can recommend them, so we figured we’d just lay out the pros and cons that we experienced. And there are so many really positive reviews of Southern Harvest - it's definitely possibly that our terrible service was just a fluke. But just in case other couples just aren't reviewing their negative experiences, I wanted to make sure our entire experience was represented, for future couples to consider when making their catering decision.

Highly recommend Southern Harvest Catering. We used them for both the catering and bar services. Falon is fabulous! She was soon patient as I changed my mind and the details so many times! She was also very quick to respond. They had a wonderful test tasting as well. Overall, highly recommend!!
