Thank you Dan for such an amazing lighting and decor job at Celia's Bat Mitzvah. Randy and I agree that it was beyond our expectations. I've already raved about you to anyone who will listen and especially those planning a bar or bat mitzvah. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing. Lighting was one of the few things I was worried about during the wedding process when a friend recommended Shindig to my husband and I. After viewing photos and speaking with Dan Gumbo we decided to have uplighting at our reception. What a difference! The colors were perfect, the atomosphere 10X better and Dan and his crew were flawless. Great vendor!

When we had our wedding in August, I found Shindig Lighting on the internet. After meeting up with Dan (he was such a pleasant person to work with) we decided to rent the lights from him. Dan at Shindig lighting was one of the best decisions I ever made! He transformed my event to the most glamorous evening in July!!! His ideas were impressive and his hard work never stopped...! He transformed my tent into a Saturday might at Studio 54!!! It was so awesome that everyone really felt like they were back in the 70's! Truly amazing!!!! Dan ( owner) from Shindig lighting was wonderful to work with..he provided Lighting for the dinner -dance portion of our daughter's wedding ( Mystic Marriott ballroom) and was a pleasure to work with..we had a personal meeting at the venue to see how the lighting would look and to pick coloring and style and had numerous conversations via phone and email. Dan was knowledgable , friendly , curteous and professional..the lighting made the ballroom look magical and lovely..I would highly reccommend Shindig lighting for any occasion where one would want the added ambience that professional lighting can provide..

Dan and the crew at Shindig were a pleasure to work with for my wedding. I wanted purple uplighting, and Shindig offered several shades to choose from, laid everything out in a consultation, ensuring that I'd get the exact look I wanted on my wedding day. I appreciated that Shindig respected my budget throughout the planning process and never tried to pressure me into anything I couldn't afford. Dan did a fantastic job with our wedding in a ballroom studio in Derby, CT. From the beginning he was able to understand our vision even when we didn't know the technical terms. He made great suggestions to guide us in the right directions, put up with changes of plan right up to the last day and was easy to contact throughout. The building is an amazing art deco piece from the 30's but it is a little dingy after all these years. We cleaned it up and hoped for the best. When we walked in to the reception our jaws dropped! Dan's lighting brought out all the artistry in the room! And the way he lit a slightly strange, large picture on one wall made it seem like a natural part of the place. I would use him again for any event!

Dan and the team at Shindig were truely outstanding. They absolutely transformed the venue top to bottom and were attentive every step of the way. I am now a true believer that lighting can do more for your event than flowers or any other piece of decor. I would certainly hire them again for my next event and recommend them to my friends.

Amazing vendor! The lighting that Dan provided was beautiful and we recieved so many compliments and ohhs and ahhs, the caterer said he had never seen the hall look so good. The photobooth Shindig did was also a huge hit! I have an amazing and very cool guestbook now full of fun memories of the night....I don't think it was left empty once! Overall Dan was professional, energetic, creative and very involved, my husband and I loved having him be a part of our celebration!
