I would like to preface this review with this: my husband is a business owner and I have many family members that are business owners. With that said, I do not take giving a business a negative review lightly. I have waited almost 5 days to post this so that Shannon would have a chance to contact me to make it right like she said she would but I have not heard from her. I have heard good reviews about Shannon which is part of the reason we chose her so I know that at times, she is good at her job. However, I can only speak from my experience with her. I was the bride in a wedding with Shannon last week and unfortunately I had a poor experience. I was stuck between doing business with her or Artistry in Bloom and ended up choosing Shannon because my husbands family knew a member of her family. However, knowing what I know now, I wish I had chosen Artistry in Bloom. They were very kind and were trying to work well with my budget. Shannon seemed to be that way too until my deposit was pai... Read mored. From that point on, I felt like I was being nickel and dimed for every little thing. I understand how business works and I know upgrades cost money. The thing that bothered me is that any little detail I added was a sizable up charge but any detail I got rid of didn’t lower the price. We had many vendors in our wedding. Photographer, videographer, photo booth, caterer, bar, venue, wedding planner, etc. and she is the only vendor that made me feel like I was getting ripped off. A little over a month before my wedding day, I sent a comprehensive collection of the photo examples so that she would have everything in one place. I specifically discussed boutonnières. She acknowledged receipt (see pic) Shannon has sent an invoice and I reviewed pricing. The day of the wedding, Shannon dropped flowers off before anyone else arrived. The boutonnières were nothing like what we have settled on. There were literally no flowers in them, just leaves. I attached pics of the example and actual product here. My wonderful wedding planner, Mary with Bringing it together was able to use flowers from my hairpiece to help it look a little better. Additionally, she dropped off flowers for my centerpiece and texted my wedding planner saying that she could assemble them. Those turned out fine thanks to Mary BUT that was frustrating because that is what I paid Shannon for, not Mary. The centerpieces were $40 a piece and $150 for delivery and setup. The bouquets looked good aside from a couple wilted roses in my bouquet which couldn’t be seen from afar so I wasn’t too worked up about them. The final (and biggest) disappointment is how Shannon handled these issues when we contacted her. Instead of asking what she could do to help or apologizing, she told my husband that we should have read the invoice more thoroughly a she had sent us an invoice since the change had been made. Since then, she has commented on negative reviews from my close family and friends lashing out a bit and stating that she planned to contact me. I am still waiting for this. I COMPLETELY understand that mistakes and miscommunications happen. I can even understand her having a bad day and being rude the day of if she had apologized later. However, she has not contacted me or done anything to remedy the situation. I also understand that you get what you pay for, but she was not cheap so I at least expected what we agreed upon and some good customer service. For this reason, I do not recommend Shannon. She is the only vendor in my entire wedding that I regret. However, huge shout out to Mary with Bringing it Together for fixing Shannon’s mistakes. I recommend her.
