  • We were very happy with the delivery of beer and wine provided by Binny's for our wedding. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was their quantity suggestions. When we received their suggestions, we thought the quantity was really low. So we ended up adding a lot more wine and a little more beer. And thank goodness, as we would have run out if we had gone with what they suggested. I find this quite unusual since this is their core expertise. Perhaps we just had more heavy drinkers than most weddings. Other than their numbers being off, their service was great.

  • I purposely chose venues where I could bring in my own alcohol for both our rehearsal dinner and reception. I contacted Binny's events department and out together our orders. The orders were transferred to local stores for pick up and delivery. Our pick up wasn't ready on time and the store delivering to our reception had to call me the night before (during the rehearsal dinner) to get payment info that I had already given to the events department. I believe that both of these issues were due to the events dept. as the stores themselves were great to work with. We returned all of our unopened packages and it was smooth and easy.

  • My initial correspondence with Binny's regarding booze for my wedding was really positive. The guy I was emailing with was super speedy to reply and helpful (Paul Jordan). However...at some point I was connected with a different representative who was SO DIFFICULT to work with. She did not read my emails very carefully, and continually made changes that I did not want nor ask for to the order. I would provide explicit and specific requests - For example I'd ask for 5 cases of Bud Light, and the order would show 4 12 packs of Bud Light. She was also over-charging for everything. I eventually decided to order wine from Trader Joe's, and liquor from a different store. All because of how difficult it was to work with Binny's. I wanted to keep my order with them as simple as possible, so they catered beer only. Delivery ended up ok, but man...customer service experience was a pain in the butt.

  • I was in contact with Binny's for at least a month before my wedding. Sending emails back and forth trying to get the order right. They really sucked at reading my emails and getting the details right. At first, they suggested WAY too much booze. I had to call several times to ensure the final order they sent me was right, but we finally got it done. Day of my wedding I arrive at my reception, about 15 minutes before all my guests arrive. Caterer comes running out saying that Binny's hasn't come yet. We call the party rep I've been using but he's not in town. The person we talk to says the order DOESN'T EXIST. A couple days later, I receive an apology email saying they messed up and asking if there is anything they can do to rectify the situation. I suggest some sort of credit or something. The representative "goes back and forth" with his superiors on getting an "approval" for this, but never get's back to me. After over a month of emailing back and forth bs, I just gave up. ... • Our venue allowed us to bring in our own alcohol and Binny's was a tremendous help. Their event planner Will helped us stock our bar and assured us we had enough alcohol. The best part was that they delivered and then picked up everything to return. A few days later we had a credit for what was returned. Also we didn't have to shop sales throughout the year leading up to our event because they make sure you are getting the best price that they offered.

  • We were fortunate enough to have a venue that allowed us to bring all of our alcohol in. Binny's made this whole process super easy. They helped us pick out the alcohol we wanted to have and figure out the right quantities, the dropped it all off, they picked up some of it that could be resold and refunded us for that while we were still on our honeymoon. It was so great to have the exact beers that we wanted and to create some cool signature cocktails with non-standard alcohol. They made the whole thing easy for us.

  • My wife and I were going back and forth with alcohol vendors for our do-it-yourself wedding at Stan Mansion. At first, I was concerned with pricing and getting the best bang for the buck. After meeting with Jeff C at Binny’s (Lincoln Park location), I not only knew we were getting the best deal, but that we would also get the best service. Binny’s is EXTREMELY FORTUNATE to have Jeff C. He is dedicated only to planning and coordinate big events and he only works out of the Lincoln Park store. We walked into the store, told him our favorite wines, types of drinks we wanted, and he did the rest. He knows his stuff. I thought I was being a wine snob since I have a picky pallet with wines, but he knew what I wanted. Everyone has a budget in mind and Jeff C won’t try to take advantage just to hit that dollar amount – he will tell you how high or low you can go with your drink options and which wines you can afford within your budget. All we had to do was tell Jeff C our total head... Read more

  • I was satisfied with Binny's Service for providing the liquor for our wedding we ordered beer, wine, vodka, and jack. We definitely saved money going thru them versus our caterer. I was disappointed in their customer service however. I thought we would deal with one person but dealt with several which was frustrating. They are going thru staffing changes and hopefully theses issues will be resolved. As long as you are on top of exactly what you need and want and follow up repeatedly you should be fine. Its just on you to pay attention to the details.

  • Scott Ryan was our party planner, and was a breeze to order with. Even though they normally don't deliver on Sundays, since A New Leaf was right down the road, they agreed to drop our liquor by in the morning, which they did. However, they obviously did not check the order before leaving. It turned out that they did not deliver our red wine, even though they charged us for it. I had picked it out pretty carefully and had included it on our menus. How embarrassing! Lucky for us, our caterers (Hel's Kitchen) saved the day by sending their captain to buy wine down the street. I called Sam's the next day and they agreed to refund me for the wine, but I barely got an apology out of them. Actually, the guy I spoke to in order fulfillment was kind of a jerk.

    responded with the following comments.

Sorry about that! Sams liquor is now Binny's and I, Jeff Caldcleugh, am now the person who does all the wedding/event planning.
