  • We paid this “reverend” but had to cancel our wedding at the last minute due to the “yellow zone” COVID restrictions that Cuomo came out with on 11/9 and he refuses to refund the $300 that we paid.

It is unfortunate that this COVID pandemic is striking up once again, I do feel bad for my former Clients. Although the did leave quit a bit of information out of their complaint. My former Clients had a signed contract with me, back in January 2020. Paid me in full by March 2020, their “Wedding Ceremony was to be in June 2020. I was ready to go with a script ceremony! In May of 2020 I received an email from them saying because of the cancellation where they were going to have their “Rehearsal/Wedding Ceremony”, they decided amongst themselves, without asking me to do their “Elopement” June 2020, the husband’s mom’s-friend, married them instead. Having a signed contract with me, the words “all deposits are non-refundable” in it, signed by both of them, now makes the contract “Null and Void”! They rescheduled the same place for a 2nd time, for November 2020, asking me back in May 2020, if I would do their “Vow Renewal” rehearsal/ceremony, as they are now married, only now for their family all together this time, I said that would be fine! Again, unfortunately the same place cancelled because of the COVID restrictions! My former Clients seem to not understand, I never mentioned another contract for the November 2020 date they had made, that I was planning on officiating their “Vow Renewal” Rehearsal/Ceremony for nothing! I really felt bad for them! Now after 6 months later, they are asking for their money back. Having 2 other ceremonies in June of 2020, besides this couple, there were no problems as I did their ceremony spaced 6 ft apart with masks, it was just the couple’s with their witnesses.
