Simon was fantastic. Our games came on time and in great condition. Loved the convenience of having the games dropped off and picked up. Will definitely use them again!

I've worked with The Recreation Department on a number of occasions now, and I every single time has been an absolute pleasure. Simon (the owner) is always incredibly responsive, very accommodating in terms of providing delivery windows- and prompt within those windows- and transparent with his pricing. He's also very personable and friendly, yet professional in his demeanor as well, which definitely matters considering the wide range of clients one can incur. He's knowledgeable about the ins and outs of his games (it helps that he built them himself), and is likewise very patient in explaining game rules, setup, and breakdown. Just a small window into the level of detail of care which Simon puts into his product: Giant Jenga (or "Stacking Blocks," due to trademarking/copyrights stuff). Here I thought it was just a bunch of 2x4's cut to size, but 2x4's don't have the same dimensions as Jenga blocks. He hand milled each individual block to create a (massive) scaled replica, and this ... Read moregame is always a huge hit- and not just because it can get 4 feet tall, but because it actually behaves like Jenga. Again, this is just ONE detail of Simon's work; it's definitely a microcosm of the integrity of his work and operation as a whole. In closing, I have nothing but tremendous things to say about The Recreation Department. At every event I have the potential for games, I always know who to call: I know the best games will be available, that they'll be made with a high quality of local craftsmanship, and they'll be delivered and picked up where and when I need them. What more can you ask for?

It was a pleasure to work with Simon. His games were an amazing addition to our wedding and our guests had so much fun! Even my Uncle who had never played giant jenga before jumped in and had so much fun! My husband and I are so happy that we were able to work with Simon and it was absolutely worth the value.

This was a great vendor to work with-- everything went according to plan and was stress free for my wedding reception! Everybody thought it was such a cool idea.
