  • My husband and I are members of Rabbi Lisa’s congregation. We hired Rabbi Lisa about 6 months ago to conduct our wedding this month . We met with her several times prior to the wedding to discuss wedding details, as well as,couples communication which was very helpful. Rabbi Lisa had wanted to have our wedding materials- license, ketubah , rings etc., before the wedding, so we would not need to worry about them the day of the wedding- which I provided to her . Three days prior to our wedding, Rabbi Lisa called and said she wasn’t feeling well, and could not perform the service! This, as you could imagine, was very stressful ! She did not provide us with names of other Rabbis, nor did she return our wedding materials to us! I had requested those to be returned, with no avail! I had to drive one hour each way to pick up the items! To top it all, I had requested her to fill out the ketubah ,and she said she didn’t have time to do that- she was busy teaching a 3 hour online ... Read more

I am heartbroken for this couple. I have gotten to know them well and I looked forward to officiating their wedding. When the wedding date was set, who knew there would be a pandemic? As the wedding day approached, the original restaurant venue was cancelled and most guests declined the invitation in light of the pandemic. Prior to their wedding day, Ventura County issued a Stay Well At Home order (as of March 20, 2020 for all non-essential businesses and activities to cease operations). Complicating matters, I was sick with cough and flu symptoms. As the wedding date came closer, I let the couple know that I was still not feeling well (they knew I had been feeling ill). I did not want to take the chance of getting them ill. The groom expressed disappointment for the news and appreciated the notice, and said they had two other rabbis they knew of to contact. The ketubah was not filled out ahead of time given the fluid situation of the Coronavirus pandemic, in the event the couple may have chosen to delay the wedding date. I did provide a copy of the ketubah with all the information filled out in English and Hebrew for them to use on the original ketubah. In the Jewish tradition, health is most important. Had I gotten this mature couple ill by coming into contact with them during this pandemic, I could not have forgiven myself. This is a couple that I care very much about and would have loved to have officiated their wedding ceremony.

  • Rabbi Lisa was one of the best aspects of our wedding day. She was spent a significant amount of time and effort getting to know me and my fiance (now husband) and making sure that our ceremony was personalized to best suit our personalities. It was a joy working with her the months leading up to the wedding. I can't imagine our wedding day being as lovely if she hadn't been a part of it!

  • Rabbi Lisa was open and accommodating throughout the entire process. We didn't know what we were doing and she taught us what we needed to know and responded to our personalities, giving us plenty of options to choose from for the details of our ceremony. Both of our families were happy with a memorable and lovely wedding ceremony.

  • We were thrilled to have Rabbi Lisa as an officiant at our wedding! She was incredibly thoughtful and accomodating of the vision we had for our wedding, our schedule, and our religious backgrounds and personalities. I would highly recommend working with her for any type of event!

  • Rabbi Lisa did a wonderful job at our wedding. It was an interfaith marriage. She officiated with a minister and coordinated a beautiful ceremony. Both religions were represented beautifully. I highly recommend Rabbi Lisa for any type of wedding. Ron and Susan
