  • We spent over a year working with Rachel of Plan It Perfect on our wedding. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and we would recommend her to anyone! She is incredibly responsive, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about the event industry. She was extraordinarily capable of balancing the desires and needs of the bride and groom, as well as all of the parents involved, and keeping everyone calm and organized.   • My brother-in-law and his girlfriend found Rachel for us, and we are so thankful. We planned our wedding in only a few months, and we were out of town, so there's no way we could have done it alone. But Rachel was more than we could have expected. She was great to work with. She kept us on track, she took care of things for us, and most importantly she was cool with what we wanted and never pushed her taste or the "you have to do this" type of stuff. And at the actual event, she was amazing. Nothing would have gotten done without her!

  • I hired Rachel and Plan It Perfect for month out planning. Rachel was extremely professional, flexible, and very responsive. I tend to be a control freak and she kept me in the loop throughout the wedding process. I had a hard time working with my venue and she managed the entire process for me. Her day of coordination was integral to the smooth execution of my wedding. She coordinated with the band, the photographer, and the caterer. She planned the entire day from the minute I woke up to the minute the wedding was over. Hiring Rachel was the best decision I made and I strongly recommend her services for your next event.

  • I contacted about 20 wedding planners/coordinators and honestly didn’t love any of them. I wanted personal attention and someone with experience both at my venue and with Jewish weddings. Also, most of the planners that did day of wouldn’t book until six months out and being the planner I am, that didn’t work for me. During a meeting with my caterer (Putting on the Ritz) the owner (Bobby) mentioned Rachel of Plan It Perfect. He explained that Plan It Perfect was owned by Cate who he “stole” and now works at Puttin on the Ritz. I called Rachel and figured what’s one more conversation. Rachel from the first chat was sharp, calm, knowledgeable, caring and overall wonderful. We didn’t need to but we met in person and I knew she was “the one” :) Not only did she not care that I was booking her so far out, but she was reasona...   • I hired Rachel about a month before my wedding and it was the best decision I made. She was extremely helpful the entire day. She really paid attention to the details so I didn't have to worry about them. When it seemed like it was going to rain the day of the wedding, Rachel was able to arrange a beautiful indoor venue for us to take our pictures. Even though our wedding started late because of the rain, Rachel was able to work with all of the vendors and get us back on schedule. She really went above and beyond and we were so thankful for her help.

  • Rachel Shaw is underpriced! Her services from start to finish were priceless. As mother of the bride, I could not have foreseen the value of her services as this was our first wedding. Especially critical was Rache's 'day of coordination' which allowed everyone to fully enjoy the event without a single worry or concern. Because one thing we all learned is that things do go wrong, unexpected things happen and it was Rachel who handled them calmly without alerting guests. That is priceless! Her energy, resourcefullness and willingness to 'do what it takes' makes her services priceless! I will never host an important event without her!

  • We worked with Rachel Shaw as our day of planner and HIGHLY recommend her. She was efficient, capable, knowledgeable, firm, organized and a million other things that you'd want in a planner. She also knows a large number or local vendors and was really willing to suggest them to me. Her suggestions were solid! I can honestly say that our wedding would not have been the success it was without her help and expertise. To top it all off, she is super friendly, relaxed and has a great sense of humor. Worth every dollar.

  • I tried very hard to plan my wedding on my own but finally decided I needed help, so I hired Rachel about two months before the big day. This was probably the best decision I made throughout the entire process. Not only did she handle all of the tough logistics and coordinate pretty much everything of any importance, she kept me sane and supported me during the most stressful moments. I couldn't have chosen a more committed, harder working person to help me make my wedding day a success. She even remained cool when I gave her sass. Rachel is one tough cookie and now a treasured friend.

  • Rachel Shaw and her staff of Plan it Perfect provided a partial customized wedding plan for my son's wedding. This included guidance ahead of time with a timeline of tasks each month, and vendor recommendations in the Baltimore area. She also communicated as needed with both parents of the groom and bride and groom. The week of the wedding, she kicked in with assistance with welcome bag drop off at hotels, itemized drop off at the venue, confirmation with vendors, organization of the rehearsal, set up of the reception, and organization of the wedding day from start to finish. She also followed up after the event with packing up items immediately after the event, and reclaiming personal items that had been left, a couple of days later.   • Rachel was our saving grace. Our calming presence and voice of reason during our wedding planning process. She is so experienced with the wedding process that she made my mom and I feel so at ease with her and we knew we could trust her. Our main reason for hiring her was for day of coordination. She ended up becoming a much bigger help when it came to vendors and contract "negotiations." She knows almost everyone in the wedding world and offered a lot of help when it came time to try out vendors. Our wedding day went off without a hitch (that I know of!) and she helped transform our space into my wedding dream. Do yourself a favor and hire an event planner that knows your area and is in sync with your vision. I can't imagine having to do the things she did AND get married.

  • Rachel was an absolute life saver. We were able to bring her in two months before the wedding and she took complete ownership of the weekend. The whole staff at Plan It Perfect made sure that we were able to enjoy our wedding instead of trying to run it ourselves. Between a huge wedding party, multiple vendors, and guests, they coordinated the day to perfection, never missing a beat, and never missing all of the little details that were so important for us. Rachel is awesome and we would definitely recommend her.

  • There is no way to describe how important Rachel was to the success of my daughter's wedding. All along I didn't think I needed a coordinator but luckily our photographer kept suggesting we change our mind. I mean I was already spending a lot of money-but if I hadn't hired Rachel it would have been a little wasted. I hired her only about 10 weeks before the wedding after reading a chapter in a wedding book that talked about schedule. Then I realized who was going to make the schedule work and I panicked. Luckily she was available. She literally took care of everything and let me enjoy the day. There were no slipups but plenty of little things that popped up at the last minute that she handled. All with calmness and aplomb. The price was more than worth it and I would recommend that everyone had a day coordinator if you want to enjoy the event.

  • I worked really crazy hours during this process and after picking the venue trying to do everything else was just too much, so I hired Rachel using her full planning package. The event coordinator at the hotel recommended her and they worked really seamlessly together. All of her vendor recommendations were spot on. She handled meetings with my family who didn't always agree with my vision very well. Most importantly, the day of things went absolutely seamlessly. I am a person that likes having schedules and details all worked out ahead of time and everything was planned down to the exact time each person's hair and makeup was getting done. During the reception she made sure everything was coordinated and timed appropriately. I told her if there were any last minute details or little issues she could just make the decisions herself and if there were any issues that came up I honestly don't know because everything was perfect!
