  • We held my daughter's wedding here June 8th 2019; the venue was beautiful, but that is where it ends. The owner, Patrick, has a lot to learn about being a good host. It began when we arrived, he was legitimately angry because some guests were parking in the wrong area and had no problem being rude to them by aggressively ordering them to park in the correct area. His attire was extremely unprofessional as a host, he wore shorts, T-shirt and sandals. His attitude was he did not want to be bothered or approached, he simply wanted to bark orders to the bride and be left alone..... he did make it a point to all of the wedding party and guests, this was his property and barn; in which he stated many times throughout the day. When asked by a family member for an extra table, he replied "why do you need an extra table he had his staff set out enough", she was set back by his response and sarcastically asked "you have accommodated weddings before, right?" Patrick asked her "what she did for... Read more

John, Thank you for the great comments on how the venue looked. We work hard to make sure the venue is as beautiful as possible for all of our B&B guests as well as our wedding couples. The flat grass lawns around the barn make it easy for guests, even with walkers or chairs, to move from the wedding and cocktail lawn areas to the stairs or the ADA ramp on the back of the state historic barn. I am sorry that you don't feel like you received the service that you should have received. Our venue, though not high priced when compared to others that offer the same amenities, takes great pride in having all of the details completed prior to our guests arrival to make their day much easier. Using a four-page detail sheet, many phone calls, and walk-thru's by the couple we have everything pre-set so guests don't have to endanger themselves by moving heavy tables and other items to help the bride set decorations. We do stick to what the bride has given to us and do a quick walk-through with the bride when they arrive to make sure that everything is just what they want. I would like to make sure that I answer a few of your concerns: 1) We do help our guests with attended parking so everyone can get in and out without any issues. We do have signs up to explain where to park and cones up so people don't park in walk-ways. If necessary we do explain to people nicely where they can park. 2) All employees of Pine River Ranch dress professionally in matching attire for the wedding. I am in work clothes generally when I meet the early arriving "work-party" in the AM as I am finishing setting up outside and help with any thing that the bride needs upon arrival. I was in shorts, tennis shoes, and a sweatshirt when you arrived. I always change into slacks and a button down shirt for the weddings hours before other guests arrive. 3) I will apologize personally for my attempt at humor using sarcasm that may have been off-putting. The comment that you speak of was actually following a conversation in the parking area before the bride arrived and followed my telling her that I was a teacher and administrator for 23 years. We are an education family and take great pride in treating educators well and actually give them a 10% discount on their stay anytime. 4) I will also apologize, and did try calling Lisa as well, about telling her she looked nice. My whistle and comment was intended as a compliment and with her smile and thank-you I believed she understood the intent. 4) We do require rental of our suites, of which there are four (4), so the venue is exclusive to your party the night of the wedding. The bride is in charge of who stays in them. We understand that you could go get a "regular" hotel room 20 miles away for possibly less money but we also know that our 500 square foot suites, with breakfast delivered to you door, is much quieter, has more amenities, is located onsite, and is less expensive than the same type of room in downtown Leavenworth. 5) We do charge for our alcohol and service that we provide to you. Having alcohol on-site at wholesale prices is much more efficient and higher quality product for our guests. 6) I never volunteer information that I own Pine River Ranch to any guests. If anyone asks I tell them that my wife owns the property and I am an employee (which again is an attempt at humor). We are very fortunate to be able to own such a beautiful property and keep its history intact and are proud of the work that we, and our staff, do with our B&B and venue. Our venue prides itself on helping all of our couples and families have a great wedding experience. We had a lot of guests ask for pamphlets to give to friends, tell staff members and myself what a great experience they had, and had Haley and Kyle tell me personally, and staff members, the night of and the next morning that they had a great wedding experience. I am sorry we fell short in helping you to have the same experience.

  • Just got married at Pine River Ranch this past weekend and it was a truly magical day. The scenery behind our ceremony was breathtaking, the reception area was beautiful, and the folks here went the extra mile to make our special day just that. From responsive communications to really great ideas to how we could utilize the space for various activities and parts of our wedding, they came up huge. At first we were a little nervous about the price tag, but when you factor in all the things that PRR includes in your wedding package that it saves you both the stress and the cost of having to rent separately - dance floor, tables, dinner chairs, reception chairs, linens, flatware, wait staff, bar/drink glasses, reception decorations (seriously, the space is beautiful), flowers/decorations for ceremony (again, their space is AMAZING!) - not only was it actually more reasonably priced than most of the places we looked that didn't include all that, but it also saved us a TON of stress and head... • My husband and I just got married at Pine River Ranch is was everything we could have dreamed of! The venue itself is gorgeous and does need much decorating at all for it be breath taking. Throughout the entire day our guests raved about how special, beautiful, and wonderful of a venue we had selected. The owners do an amazing job of keeping the place beautiful and wedding ready. From the moment we arrived Friday to setup and have rehearsal, to the moment we packed up and left Sunday, Patrick and his wife Jessica made us feel welcome. The staff Pine River Ranch was also so helpful in making our day run smoothly. The suites on site are also very nice, they have a modern but still rustic feel. Breakfast delivered each morning was also never a disappointment, delicious! I highly recommend this venue to any and all couples looking for the perfect wedding. We had slightly over 150 guests and it ran very smoothly thanks to the owners and their staff for all their hard work.

  • My husband and I just got married at Pine River Ranch this July and it was absolutely our dream come true wedding. We are from Seattle and happened to find this venue online and knew we had to check it out in person. The second we arrived, we knew this was our venue. The owners Patrick and Jessica helped seal the deal. Throughout the entire planning process, Patrick was so great about getting back to us promptly, answering our many questions, and was always so kind and patient with us. We rented the on-site cabins for our family and bridal party to stay. Each room was very comfortable, clean, and perfect for the occasion. The property is beautifully manicured and so well managed. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were outside before heading inside the gorgeous rustic barn for dinner and dancing. Every guest raved about how beautiful this venue is and were thanking us for allowing them to be a part of it. Patrick and his wife helped tremendously throughout the entire evening and m... • My wife and I just had our wedding at Pine River Ranch a week ago today, and it was simply magical. We visited several other venues in the area while planning for our wedding. We instantly fell in love with Pine River Ranch from our first visit there, and no other venue was even an option from that point on. The venue is a B&B alongside a historic dairy barn from the 1940’s, nestled among 23 acres of luscious greenery of trees, flowers, and beautifully kept lawns. The backdrop of the Cascade mountain ranges and fields is simply stunning. Our ceremony was outside overlooking the mountains, and the reception was inside the gorgeous rustic barn. We booked the venue 14 months before our wedding date. The owner, Patrick, was wonderful from the beginning. He was consistently timely and responsive to all communication. We found him to be incredibly easy and stress-free to work with. He was professional, courteous, and warm, and he and his team worked incredibly hard to make our wedding day ... Read more

  • Pine River Ranch was the perfect venue for our wedding. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful in running the event. They happily answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend the venue. We chose this venue, even though it was a bit pricier than options because A) It's beautiful B) We prefer to give our money to people, not large companies C) Having the venue provide items such as: decor, linens, tableware etc was so helpful. It was worth every penny. My wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything I could have hoped for.

  • “A Wedding Coordinator's Dream Destination Wedding” After 30+ years coordinating weddings of every sort, I can honestly say that working with Patrick & Jessica at Pine River Ranch Bed & Breakfast is now on my list of top 5. I had the great pleasure of working with this amazing duo for the Winter Wonderland Wedding the Bride had always wanted. The venue is beautifully rustic (check out the faucets in the ladies’ room!) and perfectly located in close proximity to scenic Leavenworth, WA. Peaceful, breathtaking views with great parking and a truly service-oriented staff made our experience at Pine River Ranch problem free. Tables, chairs, day-of storage, beautifully decorated overnight lodging and a CLEAN UP crew included in the package is a wedding coordinator’s dream come true. We were given a list of recommended local vendors for our destination wedding – all of whom were excellent in their fields. Would I recommend Pine River Ranch Bed & Breakfast to any Bride? • Patrick and Jessica Olsen made my dream wedding possible. They were always very kind, helpful and always ahead of the game. They made sure everything went perfect on the day of the wedding. They even thought to call my caterer ahead of time so that everything would run smoothly the day of. If I had to go back and do it all over again, I would 100% choose Pine River Ranch for my wedding venue.

  • Hands down, best place to get married. The venue speaks for itself with the amazing views of he mountains and a historic beautiful barn! The grounds are well maintained and gardened with so many amazing flowers you don't need to do much decorating outside. The owners David and Rachel are the nicest people we have ever met and were extremely helpful in every aspect of the day. They work with you hands on to make sure everything is set into place. They have everything for the reception from set up to breaking down, bartenders, they have linens and flatware/stemware, tables, wine barrels, props... the list goes on. Having our wedding here was worth the value because we saved so much money on things we may have had to rent if we had the wedding elsewhere. I couldn't have been happier with how our wedding turned out. The day was absolutely perfect. We felt like we were getting married at our friends house. On top of the wedding venue and reception barn, there are 6 gorgeous rooms to stay in... Read more

  • There is only one word I can use to describe Pine River Ranch and that is PERFECT! From the beautiful inside and outside settings of the venue to the incredible and willing to help with anything owners, I could not have asked for anything more. This venue has so much to offer, from table linens and place settings to bartenders and set up and take down crews it takes the pressure off you, your family and guests to worry about anything except celebrating until the nights end. Then the best part, you and 10 of your closest family and friends get to stay on the property in your rooms and close the night down with an incredible relaxing Jacuzzi tub! Then you wake up to a delicious breakfast served to each room. My husband and I have been married for almost 5 months and our guest are still complimenting how beautiful and amazing our wedding was! Pine River Ranch is nothing but the BEST and I cannot wait to create many more beautiful memories visiting it in the years to come!

  • A seamless combination of beautiful scenery, nestled amongst severe frustration and disappointment. My wife and I were married here in January, 2017. We had been in contact with Patrick for several months and discussed several ideas with him, all of which he made out to be no big deal. Everything seemed to be on the right track... Fast forward to the day before the wedding. We arrived on site and Patrick made damn sure that we did not feel welcome. The things that we had discussed in person, he made out to be major setbacks to himself, personally. We had discussed using the barn from 9AM-9PM instead of 10-10. Patrick's new response, "I'm sure not getting up that early to turn the heater on." Huh. The over $11,000 in your bank account suggests otherwise, but maybe he's new to the hospitality industry. That welcoming attitude continued through the weekend. One of the water pipes in the barn was frozen, and Patrick said he would work on it that night. My wife asked what... Read more

John, We are sorry that you feel this way about your event as we worked so well together during the year leading up to your event. We do cover with all of our bridal parties many of the issues you spoke about so we are on the same page when you arrive. Items like how many people are allowed in the suites, family-catering responsibilities, unloading and loading from the venue, parking, and where we put signs and cones, and the time the barn is available for use on each day. Our suites are continuously updated and typically our guests can’t eat all the food we serve. The two-egg omelets with fried potatoes and croissant bake with sausage links, along with fruit and juice, are two of our guests’ favorite items. To make each guest comfortable, we do have some rules and are sorry if that impeded upon your enjoyment. Items such as no smoking in rooms and not using the jet tubs in the main house after 9:30 PM allow all of our guests to enjoy their experience. We have also put extra heaters in our suites outside the main house because of the record cold the last two months and would have been more than happy to bring you one if we had known you were uncomfortable in the house. We are sorry again that your experience didn’t match the one you spoke about on checkout. We work long hours to help each couple and customer that comes to Pine River Ranch to have a great experience and are disappointed that you don’t feel that way. Hopefully, you will allow us to try again in the future.

  • First off, I want to start by saying our wedding was absolutely beautiful!!! The actual location is gorgeous and the owners seemed to take good care of the property. People raved about the location because the views of the mountains are great. That being said, our wedding was fantastic due to the help of our wonderful friends and family and I can contribute very little of that credit to the owners, Patrick and Jessica. 2 weeks prior to our wedding, we found out the venue had been sold. The new owners had been operating the property for about a month and did not take the time to contact us, which I though was unprofessional. I had to contact them to find out what was going on because the wedding was fast approaching and I hadn't heard anything. While I could go in to the specific details, the bottom line was that Patrick was in no way willing to go out of his way, or go above and beyond, for our wedding. We got what was in the contract and that was it, nothing more. There were many thin... Read more
