  • We were very excited to use seed paper invitations that our guests could plant and Of The Earth provided exactly that. The wildflowers in the paper were vibrant, and each invitation was slightly different and unique. The only issue we had was that their website is very outdated and hard to use, but in the end, we got what we wanted. Very good price

  • Absolutely gorgeous invites-so unique and also environmentally friendly. The customer service was outstanding-all questions were answered quickly, and valuable advice offered on the components and quantities needed to construct our own invites.

  • Purchased their beautiful paper to make our invitations, inserts, thank you notes, and guestbook sign in slips. Absolutely beautiful! Although it took work on our part, mainly because I also hand wrote each invitation panel, everyone raved about how lovely and unique they were. I have note size pieces left over, and am excited to use them for something. I would certainly buy from them again, and probably will when my stock runs out!

Nancy, Thank you so much for sharing your experience here with other brides. We really appreciate it and so do they. Today is my 18th wedding anniversary and I am grateful that I get to continue working with brides like you who remind me to cherish my amazing wife. I love that photo of you getting two thumbs up as you kiss your husband! Perfect. Warmly, Kevin

  • These are truly very unique invitations. They are plantable and will grow wild flowers when planted and watered. Our guests loved how unique they were and they fit hand in hand with our earthy theme. Word of advice: spend the extra cash and let them do all the work. The diy kits are just as beautiful and will save you a pretty penny...but 200 invitations later you'll be regretting it like I did!

  • I loved Of the Earth. However, I just used them as an online source for invitations. I did not interact with anyone at this company, just their webpage. But I loved it. I love the seeded paper and I think their website is very informative and helpful. They also sent me samples of the one color of paper I wanted to look at before ordering. I am unsure of how well the seeds in the paper will grow, but I have lots to try (saved all of our response cards), but if not, I am still much happier with them going in the ground than in a landfill. Our invitations were beautiful and they were fun to put together. They were, of course, more expensive than other invitations, but there is a reason for that and it is worth it!

  • Of the Earth provided so many options to customize both the invitations and the price by letting us decide which parts we were comfortable doing ourselves, and which parts we wanted printed/cut/assembled for us in advance. They were helpful and responsive to questions, and the quality of the paper products was fantastic.

  • Our invitations had dried pressed flower on seeded paper. The website is a little overwhelming so when I called they were very friendly and walked me through all the opinions. The have tons of different types of papers with seeds, petals and other natural items in them. There is a large flower selection and they are of great quality. We got them in a timely fashion and it is worth it to just check the website out!

  • We ordered materials for our invitations and printed them ourselves. They came out wonderfully. The invitations were beautiful and the materials were high quality. It is a very fun idea to use seed paper for invitations.

  • I really felt like Of the Earth worked with us to get our wedding invitations just right. I also used Of the Earth for our save the date cards. The invites arrived on time and everything was very carefully packed!! We think they are wonderful! We have gotten so much positive feedback on our seeded paper option. Everything was lovely. I really was totally impressed and beyond satisfied with the entire process for getting samples, then placing and arranging our order. Anytime I had a question responses were always super prompt and the suggestions were incredibly helpful in this process. I would absolutely recommend this vendor. Thanks again for contributing to our special day!

  • I bought this paper last year for my wedding cards. However, before I decided to make a bulk order, I ordered a few to test if the plants really grew from this paper... After testing it 5 times (with the 8.5x11 sheets)... I only had 1 little stem grow on 1 of the sheets but then it died... So sad because I had great expectations. When I contacted the company regarding the problem, it's like they shrugged at me and didn't want to believe me. If it was a bad batch, how is it my problem? Something is obviously wrong with their quality control. It really disappoints me that they don't offer some sort of guarantee for it. Because I wasted my money on something that didn't grow. Now they will hate me for giving my honest review. I am not here to say people not to buy it. Buy it, but if it doesn't grow... don't be surprised. There are other companies that offer seeded paper for a better price IMHO.

  • Although their paper is absolutely beautiful and cannot compare to any other handmade paper, their customer service is awful. They didn't tell me they were out of a specific ribbon I had ordered until about a week and a half after I placed the order. When they offered an alternative ribbon, they wanted to charge me for it. I did not agree with this since it was their mistake, and when I brought it to their attention, the owner was pretty rude on the phone. I went ahead and found my own ribbon, which was better than what they offered and more reasonably priced. Also, I would recommend constructing the invitations yourself rather than paying them to do it, which is pretty pricey. It is considerably cheaper, and easy to do - we saved almost 400.00 by tearing the paper, punching the holes, and constructing the invites ourselves. My husband and I got them done in just a couple of days, by completing a few steps each night, and it was a fun bonding experience for us. It also made... Read more

I find it hard to believe how some people look at life. This customer baffles me. We make “absolutely beautiful” paper (her words), we offer the tools and experience and guidance to help our customers save “almost $400” (again her words) with our do it your self options and then when this customer approves her order (a week after placing it) her Midori ribbon selection was found to be on backorder. We do not stock every width and every color of every line that we offer. We are a custom design house and there are occasional stock issues outside of our control that we work through. This customer received an immediate credit for the ribbon. She was disappointed when the spool she requested was not available but became upset when she was told that she would have to actually pay to have a substitute spool sent. She felt that we should simply give it to her as it was her second choice. I was not at any time rude to her. She must have felt that our not buying her a spool of ribbon was somehow an affront to her personally. She was surprised that I was not willing to send free ribbon. She went as far as to say it was a bad business decision. I suppose I should have heard the threat but that is not how I look at life. We have been in business for sixteen years and love how the internet allows us to reach the wider world. Sometimes though, people have too much hate. Really? A 1.4 stars rating? So we should have sent a $32 spool of ribbon for free? This was a February order for an April wedding and now six weeks after her wedding she posts this review. Uggh. Perhaps our other reviews will help you, gentle reader, to see the truth in this matter.

  • The invitation and other paper products we purchased from Of The Earth were wonderful. Their website can be a little hard to navigate, but once I got the hang of it, I found everything I was looking for. We got our invitations, ceremony booklets, wishing tree cards, thank you notes and favor boxes from them and loved all of it.
