  • This venue is huge, and I loved the flexibility that you get with this space in terms of decor ideas. I highly recommend for those of you that cannot afford a beachfront reception, but want to be in the Palos Verdes area.

  • Definitely the perfect venue for our evening cocktail hour and reception to our wedding! We had the pleasure of working with Ebony at the Norris Pavillion for our March 2018 wedding. Ebony was extremely helpful with all the set up/layout of how my husband and I wanted our reception. She was so easy to work with, especially when she seemlessly transitioned into this role when we were working with a previous employee. She responded to all of our emails in a timely manner and was always available to meet in person, which made communication much easier. She was great! The venue itself is beautiful and very customizable to your taste. They have sliders to an outdoor space where you can keep open to make the ballroom feel even bigger, and can create great flow for the reception. Their lighting options are perfect! This helped us limit decorations on our end since the venue provided so options for that, and could help make the space look like a wedding reception. We had about 140 peopl... Read more

  • Had the most amazing wedding reception at the Harlyne J. Norris Pavilion! The whole ambiance was beautiful and it was all thanks to Lara. Lara is the most amazing, kind, funny, helpful, and overall professional director. She helped bring our vision to life and was there every step of the way. She made everything really easy and was always available and quick to respond. I would recommend this venue over and over. We really liked that we could provide our own alcohol, rentals (plates, glasses, utensils) are included, and the you get to utilize the entire building. And the marquee is so cool!

  • I cannot recommend the Harlyne J Norris Pavilion enough! Although it is more of a DIY kind of venue, if you're prepared to put in some time you can truly create a one of a kind wedding here. The space is quite large, with several spaces for dual purposes. We used the front area for the cocktail hour, the patio as a chill outdoor hang out area, the foyer for our ohotobooth and the ballet studio for our buffet! A huge selling point of this venue is that they let you bring in your own alcohol, which saves thousands of dollars. It's also extremely reasonably priced, and the staff is so on point. Our coordinator Lara, was always available for any questions we had which was very much appreciated. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this venue, thank you for helping us pull off our dream wedding!!

  • We used Norris as the venue for our reception. At first look Norris may not have it all. However, what is great about Norris is that you can dress it up whatever you like and they are very flexible. There are additional add ons that make the venue look amazing. Lara was extremely easy to work with and reassured us that everything will go well for the wedding and it did. Jade, the day of coordinator, also kept the wedding going well. You may not have heard of Norris for weddings because they dont really advertise themselves. They are a diamond in the rough. We had about 200 guests and it did not feel cramped at all. If we have another event we would definitely chose Norris

  • I had my wedding reception at the Norris Pavilion this past July and could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. Paige, the event coordinator, was extremely helpful, responsive, flexible, and organized throughout every step of the planning and execution, even when our guest count went up from 200 to 270 (which got a little cozy but worked out)! We had a beautiful cocktail hour out on the front lobby and a buffet dinner outside on the back terrace, which looked lovely at night with the twinkly lights. The indoor reception area was spacious enough for all the tables and a large dance floor, and had a variety of lighting options to choose from. Everything went super smoothly, and we got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue looked! There is a free parking lot across the street for guests, plenty of restrooms, and two options for a bar (indoor and outdoor). The price is extremely reasonable considering all the included amenities such as tables, chairs, plate se... Read more

  • The Norris Pavilion is a hidden gem!! I could not have imagined having my wedding reception anywhere else. Paige and Jeff were amazing to work with. They got back to me quickly and answered all my crazy questions and helped my vision become a reality. They truly made this part of wedding planning easy. All of my other vendors said that the staff was the best to work with and were all very efficient. The room itself is gorgeous and fit my 170 guest count comfortable with room to spare. One issue I had at other sites was the motif of the room and being hard to fit my color scheme. Any color and style goes in this room and you can add so much with their lighting options. I highly recommend this venue!

  • The Norris Pavilion was the perfect venue for us. From the very beginning they were very accommodating. Our experience began when we met with Nancy. She was so kind to come in on her day off on Sunday afternoon and spend two hours with us showing us the venue and answering all our questions. She even helped with ideas on how to save money. From there Paige help us start planning all the details. Her recent experience of getting married was a great help. She was very responsive and answered all of our questions and resolved any issues we had promptly. She was was willing to meet with us at all 3 of our venue walk throughs and never made an issue of it. On the day of our wedding, Jeff was just as awesome as the other staff. He made sure everything was set up on time and ran according to program. Thank you so much to the whole team!

  • We first visited the Norris Pavilion on April 10 of 2014, a full year before the wedding. From then on, every step of the planning process has been smooth, and I have to thank Paige Baumann, the coordinator, for being so responsive and organized. The venue itself is beautiful, spacious, and perfect for large party; there is an outdoor ceremony space that can easily seat 150 guests and takes very little decoration because it is already so elegantly designed. The indoor reception area comes with a lovely, big dance floor, uplighting in the color of your choice, all the tables and chairs, as well as a bar in the cocktail area outside. The bathrooms are clean and the parking is free. Best of all, however, they are there with you every step of the way. I was able to trust in Paige because her emails were so clear and detailed, she was always able to answer every one of my questions, and she met me for multiple meetings where I was able to tour the venue with my family, my day-of-coordinator... • Having our wedding reception at the Norris Pavilion was amazing! We could not have had a better experience! Everyone of our guests commented on how beautiful it was and how spacious it was with 200+ people. It's worth mentioning that the Norris has plenty of restrooms and there wasn't a wait for either the Men or Women's restrooms. This might seem like a strange perk to boast about but we've been to a lot of weddings where the restrooms were messy and the wait (especially for the women) was long. The entire process was smooth despite there being a transition in event coordinators during the planning process. The new event coordinator Paige Baumann was amazing and very attentive to us and vendors. When planning a wedding things are stressful (this a fact) and having a major transition midway through is scary... but Paige was incredible! She contacted us right away and was up to date with all of the information from the previous coordinator, she didn't skip a beat. She contacted all of... Read more

  • The Norris is definitely the place to go for weddings. Paige was helpful every step of the way, working with our wedding coordinator as well as the other vendors to make sure the day went without a hitch. She was communicative and accommodating, even for last minute requests such as extra tables. This venue goes the extra mile by providing tables and chairs for the reception, as well as for the ceremony if you're having it there. If you wish, they will also provide dishes, flatware, and glasses, included in the regular rental price. They will also do the heavy lifting for setup and breakdown of said tables and chairs. There are other amenities, such as a stage (included), dance floor (included), and uplighting (included). As a performance arts venue, they can provide a piano for a small extra charge, sound system, and extra lighting. In fact, there are a ton of extra amenities you can get for a very decent price!

  • We walk into the Norris lobby and saw the banquet room we just had that "right feeling". This was the first and last venue because we both fell in love with its ambience, proximity to home, ease of access and services it offered. We are excited for our upcoming wedding in September 2019

  • We had our wedding (reception only) at the Norris Pavilion. We loved the flexibility to really plan the wedding we loved, and the on-site coordinator was really helpful with a few last minute changes I needed to make. Everyone was very responsive to my emails and my other vendors. I would recommend this venue to people hosting any large event. The outdoor space on the terrace and lobby area were also so perfect for cocktail hour.

  • Fortunately, our caterer, Critic's Choice, recommend we check out Norris since they frequently work together on events, and mentioned that Norris allowed for us to bring in our own alcohol and they had a venue large enough to host a reception 250-280 people. Once we visited the pavilion, we knew it was a beautiful place to have our ceremony and reception. Not to mention, it was very easy to work with Lara Avengoza from the Norris Pavilion and she was very accomodating. She was the point of contact for us, and she was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Together, we were able to plan the ceremony and reception and layout quickly and without much issues. We even went back and forth with Lara as our guest list number kept changing and she was extremely patient with us, and figured out how to fit everyone in the main room. The only thing that was not that desireable was that the ceremony area in the terrace could only hold around 170 guests due to limited space, so we had to cut down t... Read more

  • The moment my husband & I walked inside the terrace area we knew the pavilion would be our wedding venue. We had around 140 guests, and there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy both indoors and outdoors. We had such a smooth and enjoyable planning experience with Lara, receiving prompt and comprehensive responses to all of our questions/concerns. We were also given a lot of flexibility when it came to visiting the pavilion with our vendors, as well as choosing the floor layout that worked best for our party. We ended up choosing a wonderful caterer from their preferred list, and benefited from having the option of bringing in our own alcohol without a corkage fee. There are some restrictions in place when it comes to decorating (i.e. no sparklers, glitter, etc.) and storage at the facility; however, there is nothing unreasonable in their agreement terms to worry about. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone currently shopping around!
