  • The. Absolute. Best. I waited until about a month before my wedding to get my dress altered. Unlike other vendors who made me feel guilty about my procrastination and said that there would be rush fees, Tannaz at Nazemi Bridal was so positive and flexible. I was able to make the three appointments at times convenient with my busy work schedule. Going into the studio always put me in a great mood. Their work on my entirely beaded dress was amazing. They brought up the hem, brought in the waist, removed cap sleeves, and added a unique bustle. I never felt like they were trying to up-sell me, and it was always evident that they had my best interests at heart. Tannaz gave me honest advice - explaining why I didn't need additional alterations that I thought were necessary. She also gave me great style advice on which shoes worked best. I ordered my veil last-minute from Nazemi, and without giving them any direction, they produced the absolute perfect veil to match my dress. Go ... Read more

  • Beautiful, meticulous work performed on my intricate lace top and satin skirt. The atelier even recommended that she should redo the bustle after my 2nd fitting to improve the silhouette of my gown. Very professional, friendly, and accommodating with my work schedule! Beautiful, comfortable studio in Georgetown. You really get what you pay for here!

  • I brought my BHLDN wedding gown here to be altered and the quality of work was perfect! They listened to my concerns and opinions on what I wanted and gave advice where it was needed in relation to my gown. The final product turned out beautiful.

  • When I bought a heavily beaded sample gown, I immediately started panicking about the difficult alterations that would be required to make it fit. Luckily, I found Nazemi Bridal! From the second I walked into their beautiful space the Nazemi team put me at ease and assured me they could make my dress fit perfectly. And boy did they ever! I was completely blown away by how perfect the alterations were, given the intricate beading and design of my dress. They were absolutely FLAWLESS. In addition to my wedding dress, I also had Nazemi alter a simpler dress for my rehearsal dinner, and that, too, came out great! Highly, highly recommend!

  • Nazemi Bridal absolutely lived up to the expectations I had based oin all of the fantastic reviews!! I'm thrilled that I chose to use Nazemi Bridal! My dress has very delicate fabric and areas of beaded detail. I was literally up every night worried that the alterations would alter the look of my dress, but with the talented seamstress at Nazemi that wasn't an issue. They were actually able to remove the embellishment, take in my dress, and reattach it without changing the look of the dress. They were able to shorten the straps, which were sheer, without damaging the fabric. It was very easy to schedule my first appointment. After my consultation I was given a price. It was well worth every penny. I paid half up front and scheduled two additional appointments. I was never there more than about 20 minutes, and there was never more than two brides at a time. I did get to see a variety of dresses that Tannaz was working on, she is truly talented! I feel that Nazemi Brid... Read more

  • I debated getting my wedding dress taken in around the waist and ultimately decided to do so about a month before our wedding, so didn't have much time. Tannaz (owner) was able to fit me in the next day to assess the situation. She not only suggested taking the dress in but suggested a few additional tweaks to make the dress more form fitting. She quoted me $100 less than the store I bought the dress from did, and was able to turn around the alterations in one week! She was very professional, her store in Georgetown is gorgeous, and was a pleasure to work with! I trusted her completely and the dress looked wonderful, even though the alteration was done around delicate lace.

  • I bought my wedding dress at a shop in the area and thought I wanted it taken it a bit around the stomach. The seamstresses from the shop where I purchased it tried to dissuade me from having it taken it because there was a lot of intricate lace that would have to be cut around. I ended up taking the dress home but about a month before my wedding decided it looked to big and I wanted it taken in. I called Tannaz and she was able to see me the next day (on a Saturday morning, no less!), quoted me a lower price than the other store in Falls Church and was able to do the alterations in a week!! The dress looks phenomenal, the lace detail is preserved, and she also made a few other tweaks to enhance the way the lace lays on the dress. Her shop is gorgeous, she is delightful, and I had total confidence in her adjusting the dress without making it too tight. A top-notch professional!

  • I recently worked with the ladies at Nazemi bridal and it was the best decision I ever made. I purchased my wedding gown at a bridal boutique store in my home state of Florida. After having a terrible experience and receiving my dress two sizes too small, my mother flew up and brought my dress to DC where I currently live. We met with Tannaz, the store owner, who immediately made us feel comfortable right inside her beautiful studio with amazing lighting, chic decor, and blissful music. After showing her the dress, she provided me full confidence that she would not only be able to expand the dress, but also adjust the straps, hem the dress, and make sure the dress molded to my body perfectly. Mind you, my dress was open back with a lot of detail crystals and breading around the zipper which was removed by hand in order to add fabric. She then matched the lace that needed to be added to the exact lace on my dress. Not only could you not tell that all of the work was done, but the dress ... Read more

  • Tannaz and her staff are incredible! I joke that they must hire magicians at Nazemi Bridal because I still cannot understand how they were able to create my dream wedding dress! When I picked up my dress from the bridal shop, I was less than thrilled. We had ordered the dress from the designer with a different upper half that did not have an illusion neckline and it looked like they slapped on some straps without any regard for the look of the rest of the dress. I was devastated. I took the dress to Nazemi and explained to Tannaz what I had originally envisioned and they were able to make it happen with some extra fabric from the hem. I know this was not an easy task because of the intricate lace and details on my dress. I also probably wasn't the best at explaining things, but Tannaz asked all the right questions. In addition, they hemmed my dress and took in a waist a bit. I thought that I wanted the straps to be a bit shorter, but Tannaz talked me out of it. She was of course totall... Read more

  • I first met with Tannaz because I wanted to get an expert opinion about whether a pre-owned wedding dress I was considering buying could be sufficiently altered to fit me correctly. She pointed out that the dress was too short for me but found a creative solution with the bottom layer of lace to make it work. In addition to this, she added cups in the lining and entirely redid the bustle. She was highly professional and friendly, and the alterations were very reasonably priced.

  • Nazemi Bridal is a beautiful and quiet studio tucked away in Georgetown. The staff couldn't be nicer and all are genuinely excited to work with their customers. They did a fantastic job on alterations and in creating a bustle. I was so happy and felt beautiful as a result of their high-quality work. They aren't cheap, but it's well worth it. Highly recommended!

  • Thank goodness for Nazemi Bridal! My wedding gown was extremely intricate and needed some pretty serious alterations with the top of the dress being about 3 sizes too big, among other issues. I had 3 fittings and on the last one I was able to take my dress home as it was perfectly fitted to me. I am beyond happy with how the dress turned out and I am so glad I trusted my dress to Nazemi Bridal. The only hesitation I would have in recommending Nazemi to a friend is the price. I expected the alterations to be pricey because what I needed was pretty complicated but when I was told the cost would be $950, after already being pinned up in the dress, I was pretty shocked. I know they did a lot of work so it was worth it but just be prepared to pay for what you get!

  • Nazemi Bridal did an AMAZING job with my wedding dress alterations. I purchased my Lazaro dress at a sample sale so it had some light wear and tear. Plus, the mixture of fabrics and style of the dress meant alterations (including a bustle) were going to be very complicated. But they did a perfect job executing the alterations and were friendly and accommodating during all of my appointments. I really enjoyed working with Nazemi Bridal and would definitely recommend them for any intricate alterations needs!
