  • I went to Mary's as the MOH and sister/daughter of two satisfied women who purchased dresses. My sister found her perfect wedding dress at Mary's and my mommy found the perfect mother of the bride dress! They left feeling flawless and ready for my sister's big day! Every time we are greeted with a hug and warmness from Mary and her team and they make us all feel like queens! I highly recommend them for brides, mother of the brides, and beyond!

  • Mary's was the second bridal shop I had been to looking for a wedding dress. The first shop I went to more so to get an idea of what I wanted and not so much to purchase the dress. So when I went to Mary's I had an idea of what I wanted and a smaller idea of what I definitely didn't want as well. Mary (the shops owner) sat down with me and went over everything-asking a lot of questions to try and help me find the right style, color and length. She pulled 2 dresses that just didn't feel like me, which lead her to find the third dress. The first two dresses felt like I was playing dress up, and as special as my wedding day was-I still wanted to feel like me. I was a bit frustrated at first because I wasn't sure she was understanding what I wanted and why I wanted it. So the third dress, was not as heavy as the first two. It was this beautiful lace form fitting dress with an open back and the best part about it was it felt like me. I didn't feel like I did in the other two dresses. ... Read more

  • My experience with Mary's was absolutely amazing. Mary & Natasha were very accommodating and understood exactly what I wanted. They both made me feel like the star of the show from the moment I walked in the door until the moment we walked out! I would recommend this boutique to any bride near or far!

  • Please read the entire thing before you ever decide to go to this boutique! I wish I had not given this place the benefit of the doubt! I went to Mary’s two days ago and it has taken me this long to get over and even comprehend how badly I was treated. This was my first wedding dress try on experience and it has left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least! I scheduled an appointment at Mary’s about a week and a half to two weeks in advance. I loaded up with my family and drove two hours to this store. I was so excited to finally try on Maggie Sottero dresses that I had been looking at on my phone screen for months now. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told to wait at the front until they made our area ready. The receptionist, Kandi, was very nice and welcoming. After a few minutes we were directed to the back corner seated area. They gave us water and me a form to fill out. We waited until 2:15 before we were seen - which was fine! I think my stylist’s name was D... Read more

  • Called and Mary was able to fit my party in same day, another bridal boutique went out of business without sharing. Devastated Mary opened me into her gorgeous boutique and her assistant helped me find two dresses that I can’t pick. It was a lovely experience for any bride. Mary is eager to please and will offer a lending hand in finding that perfect dress.

  • I went to this store in December to try to find my wedding dress. The owner, the most rude, indiscreet and totally invasive person I have ever met, arrived 30 minutes late on my appointment. After I met her, she refused to bring the dress I wanted to try on, simply because she supposed I couldn't afford the dress. She took me into a room and started making a series of indiscreet comments and totally inappropriate questions. She even asked me if I was pregnant, as my wedding was scheduled for 5 months later. After treating me super badly and putting on a dress I didn't want, she asked me if I liked it and I said the things I didn't like about the dress. She said to me, it's difficult because you don't have the body of an American woman, you are not tall. In that moment I decided to leave that place. I've never been so insulted in my life. But I'm happy that I didn't spend a single cent of my money on such a person. I hope that no bride will experience the horrible feeling I ha... Read more

  • Seeing that I did not even make it to the appointment I wish I could give this 0 stars. My family and I came a little early and after ten minutes no one recognized our presence. We were finally told that since we were early and they were too busy, we should leave to go to homegoods and come back. We didn't drive an hour to go to homegoods. The ladies were very cold and gave quite an attitude. We weren't even welcomed to look around, although we could tell that the collection wasn't up to par. I got a call an hour after my appointment (my appointment was at 3, they called at 4) telling me they were too busy to tend to my appointment and that I needed to reschedule. I called back and was put immediately on hold. Thank God there was a Trader Joe's.

  • I purchased my dress almost 8 months ago. They failed to give me any updates on my dress, so when I finally called to figure out where my dress was, I was informed that usually when purchasing the dress they assign a fitting date. This was not done for me, so they struggled to find my information. Mary, the owner, did call back to say that my dress was actually arriving the next week, and that I could schedule an appointment to pick it up any time Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 PM. The shop is open on weekends and evenings, but after you spend several thousand dollars on a dress, you have to rearrange your own work schedule to pick up the dress. This is incredibly difficult for me, as I live in Virginia and work every day. Mary let me know that I could call any time to schedule a pickup for the dress when I found a time to travel the 1 and a half hours it’s going to take me to get my dress. Today, I found out I need to be in Annapolis tomorrow for work purposes. Great, so I call ... Read more

  • Mary, the owner, provided a very unfortunate first time experience for the bride. Mary didn't listen to what the bride asked for, would not let her try on the dress she asked to see 3 times, and after trying on 4 dresses, the owner said to her staff "I'm done". The owner did say that most brides she works with buy the "first' dress. The bride-to-be couldn't pick the "first one". She wanted to experience a "choice". She really liked the last dress and was seriously interested in it. But Mary wanted a confirmation that the bride was ready to buy the dress. When she hesitated, Mary stopped the process and ended the experience and lost the sale. I wouldn't recommend this place. Mary is very condescending and not customer focused. All those present came away with a very negative opinion.

  • I cannot thank Mary's enough for finding me my dream dress! I spoke with Mary for about 30-45 minutes on the phone before my appointment, and based on what I told her - when I entered the store, my dream dress was on display in front of me. I ended up ONLY trying on that dress and choosing it! It was absolutely gorgeous. Every fitting was easy and seamless - they were patient and understanding and listened to everything I asked for. My dress fit like a glove on the wedding day and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I changed my mind a few times on things and they were not frustrated but extremely understanding and accomodating. I took my dress home about a month before the wedding which was nice. They also spent about 45 minutes teaching my sister and best friend how to undo and redo the bustle so that it would be perfect on my wedding day. Can't recommend them enough!

  • This is the BIGGEST scam based on my personal experience! Mary is a FRAUD. She tried to scam me by CUTTING OUT the designer label of a dress that my mother bought for me for my wedding and claimed it was HER label! When I asked Mary who the designer was she said it was "hers" and that it was a "Mary's custom dress." What a lie!! She does not make or design dresses! She tried charging us more than DOUBLE the cost of the dress too! She refused to tell us who the designer was! And then tried to way overcharge me for my veil as well. Luckily we disputed the charges and got our money back. We went to Betsey Robinson (fantastic experience and legit reputable bridal shop) and I found the exact SAME dress that Mary tried to scam us on! I saw the designer label in the dress and the price. That proved what a fraud and straight up liar she really is. Not to mention she was so odd when I was there. She was all over the place, wouldn’t answer straightforward questions, and took an hour for me to ... Read more

  • This was an extremely stressful and pushy and pressure-filled experience. For 20 minutes I literally didn't know who my consultant was and when we figured it out, she never even offered to help us pick out dresses. She didn't know the price of anything and didn't help at all. I luckily knew what dress I wanted, and once I tried it on, the sales pitch began. Mary's shows up at the end for the final push and forces a veil on you and won't let you say no and makes up fake statistics about "99.9999% of brides end up with a veil and its a picture without a frame". She is knowledgeable, but I never felt like she cared, she just wanted to make sure I bought from her. I said "i'm not spending any money unless my Mom is here, I want that moment" and she just started pushing on "well we can skype, come on..." and eventually I just had to say "NO" and take off the dress. NEVER giving them my money.

  • My consultation with Mary was great. The first dress I tried on at Mary's, after trying on many at other bridal salons, was "the dress." We bought the dress (which you had to pay in full...) and scheduled fittings. All of my fittings leading up to my final fitting were a mess. Mary ignored me and her seamstresses got the alternations all wrong. At my supposed "final" fitting, the dress was about two inches too short and they told me that is "how it is supposed to be." I had to be firm with Mary to get her to pay attention to the mess my dress had become. My final fitting ended up being TWO DAYS before my wedding with Mary who I told I was not leaving until the dress was right and in my hand. They altered it in a few hours and I left with my dress. Mary even walked me to my car with my dress. All I can say is that Mary has beautiful dresses, pays attention to you when she wants to make money, her seamstresses do not listen, and it's hit or miss. It really depends on what mood Mary is in... Read more
