  • The Lucky Devils were simply AMAZING. Not only were they less expensive than some of the other live bands, but they also were recommended by our venue (The University Club). Right from the get go, Michael (their coordinator) was on the ball and was so communicative and helpful. After signing up, they send you a link to a portal where you can input tons of info about your event (e.g. schedule, type of music, preference for lighting, etc.). I will say that this portal is a bit tricky to use, but still totally manageable. Other than that all of the preparation leading up to the event was so smooth and easy! We did a call with Michael a couple weeks before the event to go over everything we had added to our portal, and go over any open questions. I'm not sure how our wedding compared in complexity to others, but we used the Lucky Devils for 3 different parts of our wedding: Ceremony (String Duet), Cocktail Hour (3 piece jazz band), and Dancing (7 piece band). When I posed this to Mi... Read more

  • When planning a California wedding all the way from Texas, we did not have a chance to "try" many of our vendors beforehand. Going on word of mouth, we took a chance and booked the Lucky Devils. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID!!! Mike, the band's drummer, was very helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding to make sure he had our ceremony music down. When we requested to get on another call closer to the wedding, he took time out of his family Thanksgiving to talk to us! We really appreciated that he took our questions to heart and made us feel comfortable. During the reception, we got to see how truly talented these musicians are! The female and male vocals were OUT OF THIS WORLD, and our guests were on the dance floor all night. There is a Texas wedding band that many of my friends have hired because they do a great job, but all of my friends said that the Lucky Devils blew their wedding band out of the water. We had so much fun! Thank you to Mike + the Lucky Devils for making our w... Read more

  • My husband and I just got married a few weeks ago in Sonoma, CA. We live in Atlanta so planned the wedding mostly through email and google searches. From the very beginning of our wedding planning we knew we wanted a live band and spent a lot a time researching for the perfect one. We found The Lucky Devils band through a google search and decided to go with them after reading so many positive reviews. This was probably the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. My husband and I are both in our 30s and have been in and to a lot of weddings with live bands, and I realize this will come across bias, but trust me when I say The Lucky Devils was the best of any live band we’ve seen. Not only was every member so kind and professional, but they are all so talaneted and read the crowd so well throughout the night. We had a smaller wedding of about 45 guest, and somehow they managed to keep the dance floor full throughout the evening. The lead singer Gabriela even came down o... Read more

  • When my husband and I started planning our wedding two years ago, we agreed right away that we both wanted a live band for the reception - it was the most important thing for both of us, as we knew we wanted that kind of energy in the room. As we researched bands (mostly through wedding-themed websites like Wedding Wire and The Knot), we came across the Lucky Devils Band and saw all of their good reviews. There are a lot of other bands you can find in and around Los Angeles, but they had one really big advantage that most other bands didn’t - regularly scheduled showcases where you could see them perform live. LDB were actually the first band we seriously considered, but we still did our due diligence and looked into a lot of other bands. We said to each other - we can’t just book the first band we find! Well, we ended up doing just that, and it was the best decision we made! Not only do they make it easy for couples to come see them live, they are also talented, professional, and ... Read more

  • I would highly recommend the Lucky Devils. They couldn't be nicer, easier to work with and their music is AMAZING. They provided an amazing jazz trio for cocktail hour, acoustic guitar / singer for dinner and a complete ensemble for dancing and each phenomenal. The dance floor was packed and the compliments continue to come in regarding how good they were.

  • This band is straight-up [email protected]#ing awesome! First of all, Aaron is the nicest person on planet Earth. He was SO responsive to all of our emails from the very beginning. We contacted a lot of bands at first, and some of them responded literally months later. Aaron was on top of it right away, very detailed in his emails, very organized, and VERY friendly. When we decided to go with LDB, he met us at the venue 2-3 times before our wedding just to get a lay of the land and see how everything would be set up. They played a small keyboard set during our cocktail hour, they set up their equipment for our friends who played our ceremony music, they created Spotify playlists based on our song choices for us to play through their system during the pre-ceremony and dinner, and overall they kicked so much ass we gave them an extra tip over what we had previously set aside. As for the music and their performance, they were absolutely amazing. They never said "no" once to anything we asked, I... Read more

  • Fantastic, very easy to work with, and very accommodating with our non-traditional requests. The whole band seemed genuinely excited to play for us. Both the live music and playlists during set breaks were well constructed and they read the crowd well. We got numerous compliments from our guests about how great they were.

  • We knew from the moment we heard their live set downtown San Diego that we wanted to hire the Lucky Devils. They were the perfect fit for our wedding, they were extremely professional from day one to the end of our wedding night. We had them DJ our ceremony and then 6 piece band for the reception. We loved having both male and female vocalists. It was amazing how we provided them with our 'likes' and 'do not play' list and they created the perfect set list for us. Opened the dance floor with Steely Dan and we couldn't have been happier! Lastly, we can't thank the female vocalist and band enough for the rendition of our first dance song. They took a Kygo fast paced song and slowed it down into the perfect first dance.

  • Lucky Devils is an exceptional wedding band. While my wife had many "must haves" for our wedding, my one "must have" was to find a superb band to entertain our guests. Lucky Devils fit the bill. The vocals, horn section, guitars, and drummer all bought their A-games. The had range that extended from Hall & Oates "You Make My Dreams Come True" to the Horah. The dance floor was full the entire night. I cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone looking to book a band for their wedding.

  • The Lucky Devils Band played at our company Holiday Party at the One Six Sky Lounge at the Eastside Cannery, Las Vegas in mid-December. I hired their 5-piece band and they were outstanding. All of the pre-planning was a breeze, using their planning spreadsheet and speaking with Aaron a few times. On the night, they were very punctual, professional and accommodated all of my requests for different types of music, and running our annual 'Dance Contest'. The volume level was ideal and allowed guests to join in with the dancing, or mingle and chat. I definitely plan to hire them again for future parties and recommend them to everyone for weddings, corporate events and other celebrations.

  • Lucky Devils Band was perfect for our wedding day! They set the perfect vibe for each segment of our ceremony and reception. From scheduling, to planning, to PARTYING - Aaron & his team made it easy on me (the bride). We could have danced all night long with them. They are very, very great their craft of music. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Recommend 13/10!

  • My fiance and I heard a portion of the band at the public rehearsal in January and were sold, both the singers and the musicians were amazing. We hired the band to play for a 200 guest wedding May 9th in Los Angeles, prior to the COVID-19 breakout. After CA was placed on Stay and Home and we received a call from both the Church and Reception Hall stating that they could no longer proceed on May 9th I contacted the band is here is where things fell apart. First, they wanted to charge us $500 to postpone and did not care a bit that the situation was out of our control. Initially they then stated they would be willing to postpone for free if we chose a non-busy night (any night other than a Saturday) - however we paid for a Saturday. Then they said they would postpone but would charge a fee if we chose to hold the wedding either October or November as they are "busy months". This company actively seeks to price-gouge their customers during a pandemic to line their pockets. At no point did... Read more

  • Unfortunately we did not get to hear the band play at our wedding because we had to cancel it due to the Corona Virus. The Lucky Devils were unwilling to give us our deposit back as it is their corporate policy to not refund anyone for any cancelled event, they also charge a $500 rebooking fee. I understand having this policy under normal circumstances but charging an additional $500 to rebook when they can't perform anyways due to the stay in place order is outrageous. Go with a local band that will appreciate your business way more and be more flexible when issues arise. You'll also be supporting you local economy instead of a large corporation.

  • I don't normally write reviews, but I was pretty off-put by our interaction with Michael at Lucky Devils. We were so excited about Lucky Devils and had been referred by several people. We then got on our first call with Michael and he walked us through their process and encouraged us to go to the showcase in Oakland. On this initial call, he let us know we would be able to request certain musicians at the time of booking (although we wouldn't be guaranteed them). However, after the showcase, he explained we would have no control over which musicians are in our band and couldn't even request certain musicians to see if they're available before putting down a deposit. Totally understand certain bands have specific processes - but Michael was incredibly rude in his response and basically told us that wasn't how they run their business and advised us to look elsewhere. Then when I responded and simply asked for more information on WHY you can't request certain musicians, he completely ghos... Read more

    responded with the following comments.

Hi Amanda, I'm really sorry that you felt this way about your interactions with the band. Since you were adamant about choosing your musicians, Michael wanted to make it clear that we can't guarantee singers so you wouldn't be disappointed if you ended up booking with us. He was under the impression that you understood this when you put your deposit down. As you know, the singer you eventually requested was already booked the night of your event. I know you and your fiancé were upset by this, but Michael was truly trying to avoid this feeling by being transparent to begin with. We obviously returned your deposit given how upset you were that Janeece was not available, and are sorry that this tainted your experience. Michael did not mean to be rude at all and I'm so sorry if his trying to clarify things came off as unprofessional in any way. I'm sure you'll find amazing entertainment that's the right fit for your event and we wish you all the best in your wedding planning!
