Karen did such an amazing job with our wedding cake. It was absolutely stunning, I couldn't stop looking at it all night (pictures don't do it justice). During the tasting (which was free!) we probably tried around 15 flavor combinations. It was amazing and overwhelming. You seriously can't go wrong with any of the flavors. We chose to do Swedish princess and Frangelico truffle. Both were so yummy it different ways. We were originally only going to do two tiers (since we only had around 50 guests) but in the end we decided to go with 3 because we knew it would look like more of a statement, and we were right! The price is quite expensive, but I wouldn't have changed a thing. I've never had cake so delicious before. Because we went with the extra tier, we had leftovers for the guests to take home and they went quickly! When we showed it to her she explained that one part of it is hard to get perfect and would cost extra, so she suggested something different that kept the same feeling and it was perfect! She also added buttercream flowers for free in colors that complemented our wedding.

I wish I could’ve taken the whole cake and the sheet cake home with me. I really regretted that because all the different flavors were so delicious.

After doing a few cake tastings, we knew that the cake at Le Gateau Elegant was the best and most moist we had tasted during our rounds. Karen was really easy to work with and she saw our vision very easily. We had 2 different flavors in our 3 tiered cake, which I am very glad we did to give people options between chocolate and the princess. Many of our guests at the wedding had multiple slices of cake because it was so good. Karen did an amazing job!

My wife and I absolutely loved our wedding cake. My mother swears by Le Gateau and only gets cakes from them for everything from birthdays to my wedding. The cake was stunningly beautiful and delicious. The guests raved about it and the pictures of it were liked by nearly all our friends. The staff is always so kind and responsive, they answered all our questions right away and were always helpful. We had an outdoor wedding and they even helped us with flavors and decorations that could survive the summer sun and stay beautiful and delicious. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs a cake for any reason.

We set up several cake tastings at different places, pretty sure that we would end up going with a recommendation from my friend. But when we got to Le Gateau Elegant, we were totally blown away! While other places we tried had decent cake and fillings, Le Gateau Elegant creates these mind-blowing flavor profiles (one of our favorites was Apricot Princess - rich vanilla cake filled with custard, apricot preserves, whipped cream, and marzipan). Doing the tasting (Karen took the time to meet with us herself and was very patience and helpful) was a game changer because we were surprised which flavors ended up being our favorite. In the end, we selected 3 different flavors (on different tiers). This vendor was very easy to work with and went above and beyond in meeting our special delivery requirements due to the nature of our venue. By the way, Karen totally undersold the buttercream frosting... it was the best we've ever had!

We ordered our wedding cake from Le Gateau Elegant two months before our wedding. Despite ordering a tad last minute, the cake was beautiful and sooooooo delicious! We must have tried over 20 different flavors at our tasting and every single one of them was amazing. We were also delighted to learn that they offer any of their flavors gluten free. (we had several guests with allergies) In the end we decided on a layer of tiramisu, two layers of chocolate hazelnut (i don't remember the name of the combination but it tasted a bit like Nutella. yum!) and a gluten free sheet cake of chocolate, with chocolate and more chocolate. :-) On our wedding day, we were not disappointed, the cake was decorated beautifully and the flavors were just as fantastic as we remembered. Le Gateau was recommended by Celena our wedding coordinator from the Orinda Country Club after we had a bad cake tasting experience from another local bakery. We met with Karen and we fell in love with the princess cake and the chocolate mouse. The cake was delivered on time at our wedding reception and the cake was fresh, moist and delicious. I wanted a simple elegant cake and the cake turned out so beautiful! Our guest enjoyed the cake so much that they asked for more.

My cake looked beautiful and many guests said the flavors were amazing. Karen is easy to work with and has many samples to see from. Her prices are reasonable and fair for the the quality of wedding cake you will get. My cake was delicious and decorated beautifully.

We were very pleased with le gateau elegant. We went to around 4 different bakeries and Le Gateau Elegant was by far the best one. The cake was simply lovely, and delicious. Everything was on time and handled in a professional matter. Karen even ordered a new cake stand for me when one of her previous brides didn't return the stand. I got our wedding cake here. We went with the Frangelico Truffle & Champagne Cake. It was delicious and the decorations I provided were placed as requested. Our cake was a total hit!

Search no further! Karen is simply Amazing, her cakes quality and her attention to detail is fantastic! We ordered two cakes to off set the cost of a large three or more tier cake per Karen recommendation! For our two tier wedding cake we chose the Frangelico Truffle (tastes like a ferrero rocher...mmmm hazelnut lol) and also a Swedish Princess 4 layer sheet cake that was so light, sweet and yummy. Cannot thank Le Gateau Elegant enough for filling ours and our guests bellies with only the finest ingredients! The cake was sooo good that we ate our top tier and decided to order a fresh one for our first anniversary! Hope this helps, Cheers

Cake tasting is one of the most fun parts of wedding preparation! This was our first and favorite wedding cake place and we tried a few different bakeries. There was a $25 charge to deliver to our venue in Walnut Creek. We had a fun time tasting all their cakes (in small slices) and looking at photos to pick our frosting, cake flavors, and decorations. We went with a 3 tiered cake and a full sheet with a total of 3 different flavors. The bakery was flexible with having varied flavors of cake and the way we wanted the decorations to be. We bought our own flowers and delivered it to have them decorate the cake the way we envisioned it. We put on our own cake topper as well. Wedding cakes are expensive to begin with, but they had a good deal for what you are buying. Plus, the cake is moist and the butter cream frosting was the perfect texture for our taste. I would definitely come back to eat their cakes.

Our wedding cake was fantastic! It looked just like what we had agreed on and came on time. Our guests told us it was the best cake they had ever had! I wish we hadn't ordered an extra sheet cake to go with our 3 tiers because our caterer cut the pieces so small that a lot of cake wasn't even served. My suggestion would be to make sure people don't over buy.
