  • Before writing this review I reached out the store and the owner to try and at least try to give them a chance to be professional. I was not looking for money back as my wedding and alterations are over. They measured inaccurately and it costed me big time to have the alterations done and after the face I felt the owner should know. The manager emailed back and literally said sizing is unforgiving and brides do not like to hear the size number. Which was not the case at all. The owner's response was " i'm sorry to hear your alterations ended up being more than you expected". This was after explaining that even when I was told the size being ordered I said to order a size smaller, because it seemed in accurate. When I went to the pick the dress up it was HUGE and I couldn't even get a feel of what it would look like, because it was so big.     Hi Brittany, We had no intention to upset you and again we apologize for any miscommunication. This was our original response after consulting with the owner and seamstress: Thank you so much for reaching out to us and the kind remarks about our store. We try to make wedding dress shopping a beautiful experience for our brides. Thank you also for expressing your concerns about your experience with us, we do want to make sure all of our brides are satisfied and happy once leaving the store. We are so sorry you felt like there was some miscommunication in sizing. After reviewing your measurements that we have here on file, the stylist did recommend the right size. We're not sure if you were planning on losing weight and maybe mentioned to the stylist to go a size down? Bridal sizing is not kind at all, and I'm sure hearing a much higher size than what you're normally used to came as a shock, unfortunately the sizing is something that is not in our control. As you know, we do not offer alterations in house, and have absolutely no ulterior motive to convince brides to get the wrong size so they have to pay later in alterations, we really do strive to make sure we get the closest size to our bride as possible. It is true that it's better to be too big than too small, but we also understand if a dress is hanging off of you it can be unnerving. You mentioned the fees that you paid with Sophia and we wanted to touch on the rush fee portion. We received your gown back in early September, the dress came in a month early, so we made sure to call you right away because we were aware of your time frame and we wanted to make sure you didn't have to pay a rush fee in alterations. However, unfortunately the dress was not picked up until November. We only charged half of the storage fee we typically do but you did need to pay those rush fees to Sophia. We reached out to Sophia, we wanted to hear her opinion on the size of the dress because of course we want to make sure we are ordering gowns correctly for our brides. She confirmed that the dress was in fact a bit big, but that because of your bust measurement she understood why we recommended that size. She also clarified that the regular charge for your alterations would have been $600 (plus a rush fee) which is very standard for the industry as the average for alterations is usually between $500-$800. Taking in a dress is a flat fee, it doesn't matter if its half an inch or four, it's the same amount of work.The item that increased the alteration cost was the custom lace work done on the gown. We want to thank you again for reaching out. Feedback from brides like you is how we can continue to improve and provide the best possible experience for future clients. We'll take what you said into consideration and remind our stylists to be mindful of sizing and explaining how the size charts work.   • Hannah was my stylist during my trip to Lambs Hill. I really wasn't expecting to find a dress when I went to the boutique that day; as I didn't really have a perfect vision of a dress. Hannah was so sweet and bubbly, and patient and accommodating with anything I could've asked for. I explained multiple different aspects of a dress I thought I was looking for, and after focusing on one particular style, she asked we go back to another type I described earlier; AND SHE ENDED UP FINDING MY DRESS! She let us know that if we bought the dress that day, my accessories would also be half off. I got my dress, veil, and belt, all for JUST BARELY over the budget I gave her for the dress alone. She is absolutely wonderful, and I'll always recommend her and this boutique to every bride I talk to. I can't thank them all enough.

  • I couldn’t ask for a better experience! Casey helped me pick a beautiful dress, and it was under budget! There were so many beautiful choices, that I actually had a hard time choosing THE dress! Ultimately I found the perfect one! A gem of a bridal boutique, and so close to home!

  • I had nothing but a wonderful experience at Lamb's Hill! From top to bottom, everything was perfect. I have learned to take brides experiences in stride, as not everyone is as laidback as myself. I do, however, know a good experience from a bad one. The store itself is stunningly beautiful, whimsical and a bit rustic with the equine decor. The facilities are wonderfully maintained and with the Justin Alexander candles lit, it's smells wonderful too! I loved the greenery on the ceiling! The staff at Lambs Hill was enthusiastic and helpful, and downright pleasant. Hannah was the associate charged with helping me and my gaggle of ladies, and we loved her! She was so cheerful and cheered me on through 6 outfit changes. While we listened to said gaggle, Hannah made sure to catch me in the dressing room and low key ask my honest opinion, so she made sure that I was truly happy with my decisions.   • Every bride should go to Lambs Hill!!! All the girls are so amazing, Lois is a bridal fairy godmother. She is so fun and she my the ONE for me! It was the opposite of everything I thought I wanted, but it’s perfect. The shop itself is so pretty and their dresses are all gorgeous. You just can’t go wrong at Lambs Hill.

  • I bought my Justin Alexander gown from Lambs Hill. I went in only 6 months before my wedding date and picked the first dress I tried on. My dress wasn’t suppose to arrive until about 5 weeks before my wedding leaving little time for alterations but the team made sure that they reached out to the company and did everything they could to get it in as fast as possible. Luckily my dress came in months early and I had more than enough time for alterations. The ladies who work there always made me feel comfortable and really cared to help me as much as possible through my entire experience. I also highly recommend using their seamstress Sophia that they recommend for alterations, my dress fit perfectly.

  • If you live near or around the Hudson Valley and you are looking for the dress of your dreams do yourself a favor and make an appointment at Lambs Hill. Making an appointment was so easy ( you can do it online or over the phone). Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I was blessed to be paired with Jess as my consultant. She is so easy going and honest. From the moment I met her she became an instant friend. I probably tried every dress on in the store (some even multiple times). She never pressured me or made me feel rushed. I went a total of three times and every time she was there to greet me and made me feel special. She knew exactly what style and fit worked best for my body type and never stopped smiling. She has the patience of a saint because I am totally clueless when it comes to this stuff and she would answer all my questions.   • I’m so glad I checked out Lambs Hill because it was by far the best bridal salon I visited (out of five) and ultimately where I found my dress. The salon is perfectly sized. They have a well-curated collection that’s big enough to accommodate a variety of tastes/styles and budgets, but the space is still intimate and you get a lot of attention there. I brought one bridesmaid to my first appointment where we worked with Julia, who is amazing. She really listened to what I was looking for and I felt very comfortable asking “dumb” questions, like, “how is an A-line different from a ballgown?” At other salons they would make you feel stupid for not knowing the names of styles or materials, but Lambs Hill has a very friendly atmosphere and everyone there is kind and helpful.   • I had such a wonderful experience at Lamb’s Hill! I was able to make two back to back appointments, one for myself and one for my bridesmaids. I had no idea what style of dress I wanted and they allowed me to try on almost every style until I found the one I loved. They select dresses for you but you can also look around and choose what you would like to try on. The inside of the boutique is adorable and it was very quaint and cozy. My bridesmaids were also able to find dresses the same day and it all worked out. I would recommend Lamb’s Hill to any bride looked for a personalized experience.

  • Lambs Hill Bridal Boutique was my first and last choice! I absolutely LOVE the aesthetic of the boutique itself and everyone is so sweet and helpful. My appointment went pretty quickly as I went with my mom only. Jessica was my stylist and we pulled about 9 dresses--I found my dress within an hour of being there! It was like the stars were aligned that day. Jessica was wonderful to work with--I have a tendency of nit picking how I look (terrible habit, I know) and she is so body positive and complimentary she made me feel so beautiful (if you see this, thank you for that). Although my experience was short lived, I will never forget it.   • Lambs Hill was the first place I went wedding dross shopping. I wasn't planning on buying a dress here but wanted to start somewhere. When I got to Lamb Hills my consultant asked about my styles and preferences. We tried on a few dresses and with each one she asked what I did/did not like so that she could cater to my style. The final dress i tried on I said I loved everything about it "but I wish it had thicker straps" other than the spaghetti straps. The stylist showed me how we could custom design thicker lace sleeves. As soon as she put the temporary lace on the straps I KNEW it was my dress. My mom and I were so surprised I had found my dress so quickly and easily but it was the perfect dress for me! I recommend Lambs hill To ANYONE getting married in the hudson valley!!

  • My first experience was wonderful and I couldn’t wait to take my bridesmaids and family here to show them the dress of my dreams. I specially asked to be with the original stylist I spoke with so I scheduled a time on her schedule...when we arrived she was too busy for us and we were handed off to an inexperienced fairly blah stylist (who acted as though a wedding dress is the same as buying a shirt from a department store...I’ve actually had much better service at Nordstrom). I tried to remedy the issues by email but it was met with excuses, and not even a note from the owner. They seem to be more concerned with quantity over quality. The stylists are very inconsistent in their abilities to help. They are more worried about how many dresses they sell and how quickly they can get you out of there than if you are happy with your experience and once in a lifetime purchase.
