I can't say enough good things about the family that owns this place - great staff and great value. The locals really make sure we were well taken care of and they own Lily Cakes! She's been on Food network! Felt like we were in the company of celebrities. You can tell they really take pride in presenting a venue that is timeless, classic and ready to meet your event's needs - they even had a list of vendors we could use when our florist fell through. 20/10 definitely recommend for anyone needing a fairy tale wedding with a staff that actually CARES about you!!

I used La Rio Mansion for a sorority function and it was BY FAR the best event I planned all year! Lily (the owner) is an excellent communicator and goes above and beyond for her clients! She not only made the process very easy on me but also helped me make the event even better than what I was originally planning. Lily was very willing to work with me when I needed to change things and really showed me that she cared about my event being successful. She is so enthusiastic about what she does and working with her made me feel confident and excited about my event.

Literally watited on hand and foot and had a solution for any bump in the road I came across. Customer service like NO OTHER PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN! Best Central Texas Wedding Venue ever. And you guys - they are SO REASONABLE! All of their prices for such an incredible venue with amazing views... They made all of my dreams come true. There wasn't a more perfect moment I could have asked for. The whole night I was on cloud nine and it was because of their help and their attentiveness to detail. I didn't hire a wedding planner, but they had all of the help I thought I was going to need! From their preferred vendors to their grounds keeper - everything was perfect and my family can't wait for another opportunity to celebrate at La Rio Mansion.

My son and his new wife were married at La Rio this past weekend. The wedding was outside under the big tree and was absolutely beautiful. The scenery was great, and the new ballroom was wonderful. The longhorns even showed up in some of our pictures. Will was very accommodating to everything we needed, and very nice to work with. He bent over backwards for us. Thank you for making this wedding a wonderful experience for my son and daughter in law!

I do not recommend this place. We were lied to by an employee and then when we tried to deal with the owners they handled the situation in a complete unethical way. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM.

I am glad to see that the honest posts... have some impact on the owners. My heart breaks for all the brides that have had to deal with... the over promising and under delivering from the owners and property manager. If you pay top dollar.... you should get top dollar!!! Tip : READ that contact and be sure to get everything you request in writing....

Thank you for ruining my wedding weekend La Rio. To start off, the communication is so poor with the owner. If I tried to get ahold of her, I would not get a response and would end up having to call or text again, and then I would be lucky to get a response within a week. Next, we go to the venue 3 weeks before the wedding to set up the table plan and the owner says we cannot have things that were previously promised to us. This caused us to have to spend about $1000 more than planned. Then, I get there on Friday for my rehearsal dinner where I'm told that the fridge, bridal suite bathtub, and several other things are broken. The next day, we had to call or text several times about things not being ready or not being unlocked for us. Then we are told there's no way to use a microphone or speakers for the ceremony, so we had to pay more for our DJ to provide speakers for the ceremony. Two minutes before I was scheduled to walk down the isle, we got told we had to move our cars ... Read moreimmediately, even though we were told our vehicles could be by the house so we could unload decorations. Right after the ceremony we are told we have to clean the groom's suite and get our stuff out so they can lock the door, even though the groom's suite is included in the days package. I could go on and on about other small things that added up to ruin my weekend, but I'll just end by saying this is not worth your time or money. I greatly wish I would have picked a different venue. The only positive thing I can say is that it is a really pretty location.
