  • We were set to be married on a Saturday this summer, and were planning on having a wedding of 150 guests with half of the guests flying in from out of state. As the situation progressed with COVID-19, we realized that this wouldn’t be possible. Obviously, we were disappointed, but the health of our loved ones comes before anything else. We have had several friends getting married at a similar time at different venues who were able to reschedule to a new date with their venue without issue or penalty fee, so we figured there wouldn't be an issue with JAM. Unfortunately, we were very wrong. When we originally asked what their policies were, we were told that starting 60 days out from our wedding date we would be able to choose a new day in 2021 without any penalty fees. However, two weeks later, their policies completely changed making it impossible to move to a comparable day in 2021 or cancel without losing thousands of dollars.   • AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company is taking advantage of people during a pandemic and has terrible customer service! They refuse to refund couples that are unable to have their weddings due to the ban on large gatherings and ongoing health concerns, AND THEY EVEN RECEIVED $1-2 MILLION IN FEDERAL LOANS FOR COVID RELIEF! They insist on keeping a large majority of any money already paid, despite government-issued bans on large gatherings. Despicable business ethics from a horrible company. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! It is a huge, unnecessary risk for a day that is supposed to be the most special day of your lives. DO NOT TRUST JAM CATERING WITH YOUR WEDDING!

  • Unaccommodating when we had to reschedule our wedding due to coronavirus and refused to give back our deposit when they wouldn't give us the new date we wanted. Unprofessional, sloppy service, and money hungry. Zero stars.

    We understand your distress over the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on your wedding plans. We respect your difference of opinion about how Jeffrey Miller Catering (JAM) should handle our response to the pandemic. However, we have made a tough decision, in accordance with the contract that all of our clients sign, which is designed to protect our other booked clients, as well as the hard-working staff members who depend on the continued existence of JAM to support themselves and their families. The Covid-19 pandemic has been an extraordinary crisis, with thousands of people getting sick and dying, and many businesses – especially in hospitality – in peril of never reopening. At JAM, although no revenue is coming in, we still have significant year-round, overhead expenses including rent, utilities, maintenance, insurance, and salaries for the essential staff handling the re-scheduling of hundreds of events. We appreciate your recognition that we have had “costs already incurred.” Those costs are precisely what the deposit is intended to cover; nothing more and nothing less. The deposits are used all year long, not just on the day of the event, to hire the staff, to make improvements at our venues, and to cover all the infrastructure costs. It allows us to pay the many landscapers, artisans, sales people, planners, bookkeepers and warehouse employees working year round to create unforgettable events. In this difficult time, Jeffrey Miller Catering Company would simply cease to exist if we were to return the hundreds of deposits we collect year round, while incurring very significant expenses. We are committed to hosting events in the months and years to come, for the hundreds of clients that are counting on us to still be in business We are so sorry for the turmoil that this pandemic has caused for you, and our many other JAM couples. The JAM team has tried to make the best and fairest decisions for our clients and staff during this extraordinarily difficult time. At some point soon, the pandemic will end, and our hundreds of full and part-time employees are counting on the continued existence of JAM so that they will have jobs and can support their families. We all look forward to getting back to what we do best: creating wonderful wedding day experiences for our many clients.   • My son was scheduled to be married June 5th 2020 but due to the virus the wedding could not take place. We were offered a weekday in 2021 at the same price as our summer Friday evening wedding. Since many of his guests were attending from other states or countries and the fact that time was a factor due to his bride immigrating from Japan, a postponement was not possible and we had to cancel. Jeffrey Miller kept our $6,500 deposit. We tried to work with them but he was unreasonable, despite the situation. As you can read, many others share our story. This is just a bad company that can't see beyond their own greed. I have written reviews in the past but I notice they have been taken down. Wedding wire is doing other couples a disservice by burying these negative reviews. Sure many people have given positive reviews but that is what you would expect when you pay thousands of dollars.   • We HIGHLY recommend JAM catering and the staff at The Lake House Inn for your special event! From day one of the planning process until the big day itself, we were able to customize and create our perfect menu and accommodate all of our varied guests’ dietary needs with ease and flexibility thanks to JAM. Guests were raving over every aspect from the cocktail hour appetizers to the main course and the delicious cake and gelato station to end the night. It was so important to us that our guests have a wonderful experience and thanks to JAM and the Lake House Inn, every detail was attended to!

  • When my daughter started dreaming of her wedding day it was always the Lake House Inn. JAM catering is the designated caterer for events there. Carol Hollahan was our event planner and crossed overworking with us for both the venue and the caterer. The venue is gorgeous, overlooking Lake Nockamixon. JAM caterers was incredibly flexible due to Covid. They allowed us to reschedule from March to August with no increase in fees for the high season. They also decreased the minimum guest count. The food was excellent and the staff very attentive to our needs. I'll give a shout out to Joe the lead bartender, Dwight the front end manager, Marina who was always there to help without being asked and never seems to sleep and especially to Carol who was always there for us before the event and literally everywhere the day of the event.   • JAM Catering went above and beyond to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams in the midst of the unpredictable and ever changing COVID 19 regulations. We had originally planned to have our wedding at the Duke Art Gallery, however we were forced to rethink this plan due to the restrictions on number of guests permitted indoors. Our coordinator Craig presented us with a variety of options, including renting a tent for Duke Art Gallery or switching to an outdoor JAM venue. We decided to move the reception to the Tyler Arboretum: this was the best decision we could have made. We are still in awe of how beautiful our day was. Craig, Cindy and the staff at Tyler made sure my husband and I, our families and guests had everything we needed throughout the evening.   • I must start this review with speaking about our planner Carol, at The Lake House Inn. She was phenomenal in every aspect of planning, and orchestrating our wedding during a pandemic. We had to reschedule once, and due to the current world situation had updates to our guest list up until the start of our meal at the reception. Carol and JAM were incredibly flexible and understanding through the entire process. With that said, they did provide the food and ambiance which left us speechless, and our guests with a wonderful experience. We still have people telling us about how good the food was, and how top notch the service is. My wife and I were just commenting the other day about how the servers never seemed to be in sight which left us to see our entire reception and all the enjoyment the guests were having. I really cannot say enough great things about Carol, and JAM for what they provided my wife and I on our wedding day. Thank you!

My wedding was this past weekend at The Lake House Inn and JAM Catering was truly wonderful and flexible throughout the entire planning process (which was extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic). The food was unbelievably delicious from the very first bite all the way through to the final cake bite and delicious truffles. Jeffrey Miller went above and beyond to comply with regulations and to make ourselves as well as our guests feel comfortable through the entire event. Our planner, Carol, was truly a God send throughout the entire process. She was timely and thorough with communication and details and made sure our wedding was seamless. She kept me in the loop with any changes that were occurring and always went to bat for myself and my fiance. Jeffrey Miller made an unprecedented and complicated situation far less stressful and provided us with the wedding of our dreams! 5 stars just doesn't seem like enough with how wonderful our experience was!

  • We had our wedding on 7/11/2020 at The Lake House Inn with JAM Catering and it was the absolute BEST. DAY. EVER. Everything from the beginning to the food tasting went so smoothly. We actually did both the group tasting (which I HIGHLY recommend, the amount of food you eat and get to try is insane and was one of the most fun days ever!! It's a MUST!), and a private tasting with our parents. Our chef was professional, knowledgeable, but also a ton of fun! And the food turned out amazing! Then the pandemic hit. These are such difficult and stressful times, so we understood there were constant changes. What we weren't prepared for was our venue to put out insane rules 8 days before our wedding that would have made the day impossible. We talked to Shannon about possibly cancelling, and then asked if any other venue's would hold our wedding.   • Thank you to JAM and especially our wedding coordinator, Catherine, and sales manager, Kim, for all that they've done to help us through this uncertain time. My fiancé and I had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID-19, and they've helped us every step of the way- from weighing all of our options to ultimately coming to the decision to reschedule. They've answered countless phone calls, emails, (along with our never-ending list of questions) and worked hard behind the scenes to make sure we felt comfortable and satisfied with our decision, and done so with nothing but smiles on their faces. Though we're still far from our new date, we couldn't be more excited or confident that we picked the right place and the right team to make our dream wedding come true. Navigating through this time certainly isn't easy for anyone, but it's definitely easier if you have a team like Kim and Catherine behind you :)

  • We are currently planning our wedding with Jeffrey Miller Catering and cannot wait until June! They have gorgeous venues, delicious food and helpful and responsive wedding coordinators! We chose Curtis Arboretum, but saw several other JAM venues before we decided, which were all stunning.

  • Mandy and her staff at Jeffery A. Miller Catering were the most pleasant, accommodating, down to earth group of professionals that created the most amazing day of our lives! They really listen to all of our requests and go above and beyond to make everything just right! Our budget was priority given we had two wedding ceremonies and Mandy made sure we were give top notch service and provided us with the options we wanted and could afford! It really was a blessing we found such wonderful people to work with! Much of our decor was DYI but Emily (assistant planner) made sure everything was perfect! We couldn't have done it without her!
