Michelle and her team are pros and will guide you every step of the way. I got a custom spray tan a couple of days before the wedding with Bailee and she did an amazing job! I knew Michelle had a great reputation, but I was blown away with my bridal hair and makeup as well as my entire bridal party! The team spent extra time after they finished my hair and makeup to provide last minute touch ups. Most importantly, they were on time and prepared for a crew of 11 women! I highly recommend this talented and experienced team!

The Island Glow Team and experience was AMAZING! Everything from the trial to the teeth whitening and tanning to day of preparation was perfect. The team was very professional and did a wonderful job making everyone's desired styles come to life. They listened to each bridesmaid and delivered beyond expectations - taking to heart requests for a 'natural' look and nailing hair styles based off pictures. Checked us in on time and guided us through the entire process answering all of our questions and providing recommendations. Michelle from Island Glow did an OUTSTANDING job not only on my bridal makeup, but my entire bridal party’s as well as my Mom and Mother-in-Law for my July wedding in Washington, D.C.! I knew Michelle would be my forever go-to makeup girl, when she agreed to do my makeup for our sunrise engagement pictures last summer. She arrived at our apartment at 3:30 AM to do my makeup and made sure that I looked amazing for our engagement photos in D.C. She even helped me do my hair! On our wedding day, Michelle arrived early and set-up quickly in our bridal suite, all the while chatting and getting to know everyone who was there. She was incredibly friendly and such a joy to be around! Her positivity and contagious personality made everyone feel at ease and comfortable in her make-up chair. It felt like I was being rushed with makeup and hair. My eyebrows were not even the color was way off. Not to mention my eyeliner wasn't even straight and paid $150.00 deposit what a waste of money spent.

I would highly recommend Michelle and the Island Glow team. I first used Island Glow services for engagement photo hair and makeup - I loved it so much I immediately booked for my wedding. As a "covid bride" Michelle was amazing and so flexible. Our original wedding plans were changed and Michelle great about working with our new plans. The makeup for my wedding was incredible and I also loved my up-do. I'm looking forward to using Island Glow again for our big wedding and reception.

I was really struggling with whether to leave a review or not because I was not happy. I booked Michelle about a year before the wedding, got married in November 2019, had my trial about a month a so before that. We didn't really talk between booking and trial which is totally fine. I took the afternoon off for my trial as expected. I arrived and she thought I was another bride, was then late starting my trial because of drama going on at her other location (which I get it, things happen, but I don't need to watch her record and send a video message to her employee and hear it all) Once we started, things were fine, we talked all about her family, her daughters, etc. I was prepared with what I wanted my makeup to look like, but she told me she does one look for brides and that's it... Read moreould be sending another person. That was news to me. I assumed (again, should have asked) that I was booking her. Why would I have a trial with someone other than who would be doing it day of?! The makeup was fine, I had some changes, but she was great listening to them and making notes. The hair was decent. It looked fine in the front but she put the hair donut to make it look fuller but you could see half of it!! My hair is thin and was having trouble staying up due to the weight so I understand it’s hard to work with but I have never had an issue with those accessories before. Fast forward to day of, the brand new hair and makeup girls came. They didn’t speak much at all, again had my name wrong, it was just awkward. My bridesmaids looked great but I was so upset with how my makeup and hair turned out. I was expecting what I received at my trial with the changes we noted but I got a completely different look. They did airbrush makeup which I had never done before (didn’t have that at my trial bc the machine wasn’t working so asked not to have it at the wedding…) The entire look was different. When I sat down for hair, she sprayed my head full of dry shampoo (I’m assuming so it would have some grip since we struggled in the trial) but didn’t even feel it first or spray a little, test it out, spray some more if needed. My head was so unbelievably itchy and looked/felt like I had a helmet on. Short of taking a shower and starting over, there was no fixing it. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a shower at the venue and we didn’t have time even if there was one. By 7 pm that night, my makeup had melted and my photos look horrible (It was about 45 degrees out so it wasn’t hot out and I wasn’t sweating…) I would expect this from a beginner or someone that was cheap, but they were expensive, and I was so upset at how I looked that day.
