  • We had a two tier cake with cupcakes and they were so yummy. Our guests loved being able to just grab a cupcake and go. The only issue we had is that they didn't stay very fresh through out our wedding but they were also placed close to a door that we ended up having to open so I'm sure that is why.

  • Marquette is wonderful to work with. I showed her a picture of the wedding cake I wanted from Pinterest and our wedding cake was exactly as I had asked AND it was delicious! We shopped around and went to a few tastings. Best price and quality by far. Highly recommend!!!

  • They were prepared and gave us several choices including things we didn’t think of and decided to go with. Also they gave us a great dea on the grooms cake. We haven’t had the wedding yet but so far I am really happy with this choice.

  • So amazing. Carried out every detail perfectly. Marguerite and Dan are so conscientious and really care about the service they provide, which makes everything really high quality. You can expect the best from them. They provided catering and did our cake/dessert table. HIGHLY recommend for both services!!

  • Awesome service! Went for the cake tasting and put our deposit down the same day. We could even go in the day before the wedding to view the cake and make sure it was exactly how we wanted. Loved everything about Heitzmans!

  • Nothing good to say about this vendor. I was delivered the wrong cake. The cake I did get was tasteless none of my guest liked it. The fondant just fell off as we were cutting it. This was not the cake I ordered.

    Out of respect to our customer a refund was given to the bride. The design that was written on the ticket was interpreted wrong to the decorator. We take full responsibility for the mistake of the design. We do have a policy that requires our brides to view or text the finished cake to them and this was not done on this particular order. All of our cakes are baked the day before the wedding date. Fondant is a texture that is not creamy and fondant will have a harder texture, unfortunately fondant was used on this wedding cake. We apologize for the mistake.

  • My wedding was June of 2017 and at first Heitzman's was the perfect caterer for both my cake and my food I was really looking forward to it because the food we tasted was fantastic and the service was amazing. Then came the day of, we called to see what time everything was going to be delivered and I have never received such disrespect and attitude from Dan. He never answered my husbands question about what time everything was going to be delivered so I gave them a call and a worker answered and then told me Dan already spoke to someone about this matter so he would not speak to me and I was given Marguerite number. As she ended up being helpful, everything still didn't go as it was supposed to. When they got there to set up my bartender asked the set up crew where the cake was, they proceeded to say that it was going to be delivered later after giving her a look of confusion.     Our apologizes to the Dorwart family. We strive everyday to make our customers happy with our choices and services. Unfortunately, we failed to honor your wishes of the delivery of the food and cakes. I received a call from the groom the morning of the wedding day and asked to have the food delivered between 2:30 - 2:45 pm, which the wedding reception starts at 3:30. Heitzman Traditional catering staff and myself (Marguerite) came at 2:30 ( instead of 1:30 which was scheduled weeks in advance). The wedding cake is delivered separately and was scheduled for 2:30, but with the change in plans of delivering the food & setup, it did delay your wedding cake getting there by 3:30 pm. When we arrived 10 - 15 guests were there but honestly took less than 5 minutes to setup and we were on our way. It was a very easy food dropoff setup and also gave the Dorwart family real metal chafers and also decorated the table with fresh flowers and had real serving spoons and tongs for the food which we normally do not do on a drop off, but we felt it looks better and it would make a nice appearance for the their guests. I feel that Heitzman's did the best we could do under the circumstances. It was a true honor to service the Dorwart family and their guests, and I am so thrilled that you liked the food our Chef prepared. The grooms cake was redecorated at our bakery and was immediately delivered by our team before the wedding cake was cut. I am sorry for the inconvenience of this. The grooms cake was a promotion that we were running for our grooms and was at no cost to the family. Unfortunately, is was accidentally delivered to the wrong venue, but was redone & delivered. Thank you again to both the families for letting us be a apart of your big day. We strive daily to make good choices for our customers.   • The food and service at the reception was great! As for responsiveness, it was extremely hard to get in contact during the planning process which led to some differences in food items and dishware that was ordered/paid for versus what showed up at the reception.

  • The food was delicious and so was the cake. They were super accommodating to what we wanted and our tastings. However, I did a final meeting 4 days before my wedding and they already had my cake baked and it was wrong. I wasn't happy that they already had it made that far in advance and I was even more upset that it was wrong but they fixed it. However, for the ceremony we had ordered deep fried hot browns for our appetizer and they did not bring them. They brought something else that wasn't nearly as good and it wasn't served to my guests - it was just sat out on a table. She didn't even bother to tell me until I asked where they were then she said that they had burned them and that they would credit me for them. I requested that no beer be served during dinner and they didn't listen. I had to get up during my dinner (AS THE BRIDE) and tell them again that they weren't allowed to be serving beer until after dinner.     I am the owner of Heitzman Traditional Bakery and I worked with Ashley throughout the months of planning. We strive for everything to be finalized on the contract at least 14 days before the event. Ingredients and plans for a success wedding day takes months for planning and we have to work ahead to make sure all in place. Ashley's cake wasn't not baked or decorated when she came into the store to change the flavors, when she changed her flavors which we took care of it, again this should have been a couple weeks ago. I clearly went to bake shop and changed all the records to make sure that her flavors were made special for Ashley. The hot browns were not brought to the attention of the bride just because I didn't want to upset her. We did offer another appetizer in place of them. A refund immediately was given and I did respond to the bride she asked me at the venue. Our bartenders were made aware of no beer to be served and we did follow this, however the groomsmen did not understand why they couldn't have beer. We told them no beer until after their toast and cake cutting and they didn't want to listen. We only do what the bride and groom wants us to do and we did. There was unhappy guests, but this is what was asked of the bride. Our services of catering any event starts many months in advance and we guaruntee 100 % satisfaction. I the owner will always stand by our service and food and will be at each event that I do as well. We try not to be the highest in price just because we want to take care of our 1000 of customers who have been customers for over 100 years. A wedding is very very special and takes many weeks and months of planning and it is important that we work together to make it right. We are here for you and always will be for our customers.   • I have celiac disease so was limited to my options for getting a gluten free wedding cake. Heitzman's has a dedicated area for gluten free so it puts my mind at ease. I also asked them to show me a sample of what the designs we discussed would look like for the petit fours for the guests and they whipped up a couple samples. Very responsive and helpful. Can't wait to see the real thing!

  • Hired for a wedding and grooms cake. It wasn't until we had already put our deposit down that the problems began. Communication and getting in contact with the cake designers was horrible. Calls were not returned, emails were ignored, and all employees had a different answer for every question. Everyone seemed indifferent towards your needs and you were simply treated like number. Every reply to every email indicated I wasn't not remembered as a client. I was assured the grooms cake could be done (I was hesitant because they hadn't done it before), but it really looked nothing like the several images I sent. And because the icing color was grey and the cake did not look like han solo frozen carbonite, it was ugly. Details that were specified on the grooms cake were overlooked and when they were called the day of the wedding about it they said they would come and correct the issue (it was simply words written with icing).   • The cake was beautiful and tasted wonderful. The price was fair. However, the staff members were cold and off putting about 75% of the time. They do great work but need to work I their people skills.
