  • I had my eyelash extensions done by Jenny at Grace Kelly. She is super sweet and does a fantastic job. I love Novalash and I am so happy I went with eyelash extensions over fake lashes.

  • Kelly and her team were nothing but professional for my friends wedding this past Saturday. My friend, the bride, and I popped in the day before just to check out the salon and see our path of travel so the groom would not have any way of seeing her! The ladies knew all about us as soon as we walked in, and expressed nothing but excitement and made us feel like family before we even sat in their chairs. When arriving at the salon on Saturday we had set up a little station for mimosa's and snacks, which Kelly had told us about the day before, GREAT IDEA! After getting set up, we then all took turns getting our hair and makeup done. Several of the girls even added makeup after the reservations were made, and the ladies were nothing but accommodating towards us. Without ever meeting us, each of our hairstyles truly captured our personalities, and held all day and night! And, the makeup application was flawless as well! If I did not live in Pittsburgh, I would be using Grace Ke... Read more

  • Flawless service from the Grace Kelly Salon. My wedding was on a Sunday morning, so they opened the shop just for us. They styled my entire wedding party - bride, maids, flower girl, mothers, and even my aunt. Kelly has a fantastic vision for hair and was able to incorporate my requests with her own thoughts about what would look good to come up with the perfect look for everyone! Kelly is honest about what she thinks will and won't work, while at the same time being open to suggestions and customer opinions - the perfect combination. She knows what looks good and she can follow through with it. I LOVED my hair and I LOVED my bridesmaids hair. Many of us got our makeup done as well, and that was great too! No complaints at all! I would strongly, strongly, strongly recommend Grace Kelly Salon.

  • After 20 years of having my hair professionally colored and styled for countless occasions, I can honestly say this was the absolute worst experience I have had. I was initially impressed by Kelly when we booked the salon for my wedding; however, it all went downhill from there. My trial was painful. Stacy, their "fabulous stylist from LA" didn't come close to capturing the look I requested. She also was incredibly unprofessional, making borderline racist comments and actually grabbing my rear end at one point. Given that we were out of options and that she promised she knew how to correct my hair on the big day, we kept our appointments for the bridal party and I gave the ladies a disclaimer about Stacy. For the wedding day, Kelly (the owner) and I discussed our party being there for 2-2.5 hours, with three stylists. We discussed having mimosas and lunch - and having a relaxing environment. That is the complete opposite of what happened. When we arrived, we were whiske... Read more

Dear Julie: Your review of our salon has come to our attention. It is unfortunate that you did not bring your concerns about your "experience" to our attention while you were in our salon as we could have made adjustments accordingly. We enjoy being a part of the "big day." We strive to offer a positive and fun experience for all of our clients and especially to our bridal parties. While we understand by your review that you were not completely satisfied with your "experience," our staff attended to you and your bridal party's requests and you all were happy with the looks we created for you when you left for the wedding. We are deeply disappointed by the personality attacks that were made in your review. It is one thing to write a negative review that resulted because of a service that was provided to you that did not turn out the way that you had anticipated, but that was not the case in this situation. Admittedly, your hair "was great," but the assassination of the character of our staff and the insinuation of racism is defamatory in nature and simply not true. It would have been more helpful to our salon, and to others reading your review, if there was a constructive criticism component to your disapproval other than wielding insults and providing vague descriptions as to why your review warranted one-star. We wish you all the best with your future.

  • Let me start with the good: our hair came out very nice. Okay, that's it. I was embarrassed that I had chosen this salon to bring my mother and bridesmaids to for our wedding day hair. The stylist that did my hair was incredibly rude. The stylist that did my mother's hair didn't seem to take anything my mom had to say into consideration. This went beyond not seeing eye-to-eye as a bride with a vision and a professional hairstylist. I understood that my hair is soft and shiny and doesn't have a ton of natural body to it. I think that's why we have hairspray. I recognized that there was likely a method to the madness but when I raised some polite questions about the process I was greeted with an eye-roll and basically given up on. I would never recommend that a bride go to this salon for her wedding day hair - it was certainly not a stress-free way to start the day.
