  • My fiance and I were having trouble figuring out how we wanted to do our wedding invitations. We had an initial design that we wanted to use. We met with Nicole in her office and she told us a few things to fix which was super helpful. We sent her the list of addresses, logo, names, etc and the wedding invitations turned out perfect! The invitations arrived faster than expected and we were absolutely in love with them! We would 100% recommend her in the future!

  • I had been exploring quite a few places to have ready made RSVP cards printed for my daughters wedding and was finally able to get a welcome respone from Fingers In Ink. The ever smiling and helpful Ms. Nicole made my day by going way out of her boundaries in helping me print the cards required, even though we had printing errors she made it a point to have them re done with no extra cost starting fresh by making new cards instead of the card which I had requested her to print on. Truly remarkable and professional service received and I will not hesitate a moment to recommend her services. Thank you Ms. Nicole Fingers.

  • Fingers in Ink is the best in the stationary business! I was given Nicole's contact information after someone who had hired her for their wedding overheard me stressing about our invitations for the wedding. From the moment my fiance and I met Nicole at her shop, we knew we wanted to work with her. She showed us binders full of her work, as well as noted she could design anything we wanted. We decided on a DC theme using our engagement photos for the save the dates and sketches of DC monuments on various pieces of the invitation suite. Nicole was patient and helpful in working to create our vision within our budget. The final products were stunning, and so many of our guests complimented the work, especially the RSVP postcards. Nicole is nothing less than kind, neat, punctual and professional with everything she does. She made the entire wedding invitation process fun and stress-free. Our highest recommendation for a creative professional that can be trusted with your most important ev... Read more

  • Wow, did we get lucky! I was hoping to work with an actual stationary professional for all of our wedding needs, versus using an online service. I happened upon Fingers in Ink, called Nicole and she asked if we could stop by her store in Arlington that day, I'm soooo glad we did. From the minute Brett and I walked in, Nicole was it for us! A total professional, had amazing options, allowed us to pull different aspects of her samples that we like and literally pulled together a vision for us which ultimately carried through our entire wedding day. We stopped in for invitations and walked away with a true partner who helped me execute on so many aspects of our wedding. Not only did she design and make a gorgeous invitation suite, she created signs we used on our wedding day, our menus, our table numbers and even our welcome bags for our guests! All of which carried our theme and brand that she helped us bring to life that very first impromptu meeting. I am forever grateful for th... Read more

  • Nicole Fingers of Fingers In Ink is the epitome of professionalism and class. She is accommodating, creative, and talented in her ability to design and capture the vision for any invitation. She recently did all of the design and printing for my wedding suite, including invitations, personalized stationary, escort cards, seating menu, program, and bridesmaids gifts. The suite was sheer perfection and Nicole was an utter delight to work with. If you are looking for a easy, enjoyable vendor for your upcoming special event invitations and printing needs, you need not look any further than Fingers In Ink. You won't be disappointed!

  • Based on other reviews, I very disappointed with the experience we had with Fingers in Ink. We hired Fingers in Ink for our save the dates and wedding invitations. Our first meeting with Nicole went well, and we developed a game plan for our save the dates. Afer that, our experiences started quickly going south. There was a real lack of urgency on Nicole's end to respond to simple requests and tweaks to our save the dates. Turn around times for small changes such as a different font took over a week, and when the product was returned, it was a completely different layout. She let us know that she didn't understand the instructions from our planner so instead of reaching out to me (she had my direct info) or my planner, she did what she thought, and it wasn't what we had requested. Due to this, we lost another week on our save the dates and were behind in production schedule once again. Once we received the product, they looked fine, and we sent them out to our guests. She also let us k... Read more

I apologize, Solianna and Toshiro, that your experience was not pleasant. FINGERS IN INK prides itself on providing outstanding customer service. I think it is very important to have platforms where client(s) can express themselves, something I welcome, because it keeps me accountable and it allows the client(s) to share their experience. However, it is essential that the client(s) be truthful about the experience. You have not given an accurate account of this experience. I was instructed by your planner to only communicate through her. She felt it important to filter all communication. So, the delays and communication breakdown began with the translating of your corrections and changes to the Save the Dates. Because, I have a proofing process which requires the client(s) to see every change made before the order is placed into production, You and Toshiro were required to proof the order and sign off on it before the order could go to print. This is standard practice, no exceptions! Everything met with your approval and expectation. I always do quality control before passing along an order to client(s). I noticed that one (1) out of one-hundred and forty (140) announcements were not printed properly. It was not printed the way it was sent to the printer. (The last letter of the guest's last name was not printed). It was not sent to the printer this way. You saw the final proof, which you approved and knew it was not this way. To correct the situation, I had my preferred calligrapher address the Save the Date Postcard that day! AND just in case you wanted this one (1) Save the Date Postcard to look like the others, I had the printer do a rush reprint of that Postcard. After speaking with your planner, she informed me that you wanted me to send out the one(1) Postcard that my calligrapher addressed. I am so glad that you provided images of your Save the Date Postcards for people to see. I believe that your complaint with regards to the damaged Postcards lies squarely with the U.S. Postal Service. On three (3) occasions during your consultation (when discussing going with the postcard option), in writing before you picked up the order and in-person when picking up the order, I stressed the importance of having the Save the Date Postcards hand cancelled, so they would not be machine metered. (In the images you can see the cards have been machine metered because the damage on the edges is from the metering machine.) I cannot be held accountable for damage to cards that I stressed could not handle the metering machine. Also, during the consultation, I suggested that you might want to place the announcements in envelopes because postcards get bumped around in the process of mailing. You voted for no envelope just the postcard! Your planner called me very frantic and almost in tears, I wanted to help her to help you, so I offered to reprint the Save the Date Postcards that were received poorly in the mail. She said that you were so dissatisfied and wanted a full refund or you would trash me on all review platforms (which you have done; Yelp, TheKnot and Wedding Wire.) I told your planner, that I was not concerned with you posting a poor review. I was not going to be blackmailed into providing a full refund for a client’s dissatisfaction because they clearly did not follow the advice as provided. The Save the Date Postcards would have arrived intact if you had adhered to the written and verbal instructions as provided. This situation was very unfortunate and I would have preferred a much better outcome and experience . I wish you and Toshiro all the best on your upcoming wedding celebration!

  • It was a pleasure to work with Nicole of Fingers in Ink! She made us feel right at home in her shop and made an effort to get to know our style and likes. Once we finally chose our design, she was very helpful by showing us proofs in various color combinations/fonts until we find the one we loved. Couldn't recommend Nicole more!!

  • I contacted Nicole recently in order to get wedding invitations for my upcoming summer wedding. Although Nicole appeared friendly and professional at our initial meeting, she did not follow through with what she said she would provide. After Nicole met with me and told me she would provide proofs via email, I did not hear from her for almost two weeks. I then called her to follow up and she seemed confused about who I was and then stated that she already sent them to me. When I told her that I never received them, she said that she would send me a test email from another account and then send me the proofs. After she sent me the test email and I confirmed that I received it but still had not received the proofs, I never heard back from her. I called her back and left her a voicemail but never heard back. I made one last attempt a couple of days later asking if she could provide me with a date when she could send me the proofs. That was almost two weeks ago and I have still not heard ba... Read more

Hello Sharon, I sent emails to you four times. I thought that you were reviewing the files with your family. Even after sending them from my new email address, I didn't get any correspondence from you. I truly apologize that you feel that I wasted your time, that is never the feeling that I like to provide to any of my clients. I truly pride myself on customer service. If you would like to see the proofs that were designed for you please let me know. (I can set aside some (in-person) time, whenever you are available. I will work around your schedule.) I will also rush the order at no charge to you, to make your mailing deadline. But if you don't accept, I understand. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. And hope that I can do something to make this process a bit better for you. Kind regards, Nicole

  • I really enjoyed working with Nicole. During our first meeting, I walked into her office and all of my wedding colors were laid out and I knew I made a good decision. First impressions are very important to me and she met my expectations. She was very patient with me, answered all of my questions, had several examples of invitations, escort cards and programs to browse so I could get a better idea on what I wanted. When I felt stressed out, she was calm and collective. She was very responsive which I appreciated since planning a wedding can be stressful. Every time I picked up my orders, I LOVED the results. I wanted elegant, simple and classy invitations and programs and Nicole made that happen. My invitations matched who I was and set the tone for my wedding. I also appreciated getting free thank you cards. I would recommend Fingers In Ink to people as I had a wonderful experience!
