  • Scott Schultz, Andy Mattrick and the entire Event Central team did an amazing job with our wedding. They were so attentive and helped us through the entire process. I am a very visual person and their warehouse is set up to help you envision your reception. They have tents, tables, lighting, linens, glassware, place settings, decor, etc. We took full advantage of all of their services. Event Central works directly with caterers, because they don't always have their own linens, silverware or place settings and they will outsource to Event Central. Save yourself the trouble of paying more than you should and go directly through Event Central! They will walk you through every step. One thing I was very happy about was, I was unaware of how many tables my caterer would need...on the day of our wedding, we were short 3 table linens.   • I have worked with Event Central for over 20 years. As a caterer who is a perfectionist in quality and service in my business, working with Event Central is a great partnership. They are always on time, the tents, dishes, flatware, glassware, chairs....all of the rentals, are pristine. It is nice to know that they also update their equipment and we have many choices instead of just one style of an item. And they go out of their way to provide the best service possible, even setting up an after hours pick up. Their staff is pleasant and aims to keep the client satisfied!

When I stopped by EC for a consultation with Scott Schultz, we actually held the meeting back in the warehouse where everything was stored - they had a special space set up with sample wedding settings. I was so impressed with how CLEAN everything was, and that other rental companies actually send their tents to EC to have them cleaned, because they have special machines. Scott took the time to make sure we had everything we needed covered. After our consultation, Scott very quickly put together a quote and requested to join us on our site visit so he could make sure everything would go well. Unfortunately, he had to deal with a VERY curmudgeony site owner and the space for the tent which was smaller than we had anticipated. Scott rolled with the punches, got right down to problem solving and worked with my wedding coordinator to find a solution.   • Event Central was amazing. We got all our rentals from them- tents, tables, chairs for ceremony and reception, dance floor, and sound system. The sound system was a late addition, but when we dropped by their office, the young lady at the desk was so nice and helped us choose the right sound system by allowing us to go back into the warehouse so my husband could check each one before we made a decision. They set the tents up at my parents' house two days before the wedding, and were very professional while setting up. Great rental company!

  • They were great, I wanted to rent circular mirrors for my reception tables, but didn't want to spend the money to buy them. They were much less than I could have rented or purchased anywhere else, and they were great in that I was able to pick them up on Friday and return it on Monday without being charged for all those days, they only charged for one!!! Highly recommend them for any rentals you might need!!!

  • Deliver to "Capitol Dome" was excessive. I inquired with seven different rental companies and none was going to charge an additional fee to take items up an elevator to the dome. But this was the only company that had white padded chairs available. Also, to charge an additional fee to drop off and pick up a small round table one block from the Capitol was embarrassing. I had to carry the table over, in my tux, on my wedding day. Just because it is a "wedding" doesn't mean items and deliveries should be significantly increased. Once again, I asked four other rental companies about charging an additional fee to drop a table off a black away and none of them would have charged this. Unfortunate. U would only recommend this vendor if they cannot gather their needed items from another company.

    Andrew, thank you for your review which allows us to understand the positive and/or negative experiences you had with Event Central. We recognize that the Capitol Rotunda is a difficult site to deliver to due to the security access, 2 sets of elevators, and the narrow hallways/stairs to maneuver around which can impact the overall cost of a rental. In response to the table, I agree that we could have handled a drop off at a second location in close proximity and waived the delivery fee for one table. I will follow up with my staff to understand the situation and determine how we can better handle this in the future. Our pricing for wedding, corporate or homeowner events is the same for all and published in our price guide. The variables would be labor, delivery location, special orders, etc. We greatly appreciate your feedback and high remarks.   • Event Central has great quality products for very reasonable prices. They also carry most everything you would need for a wedding - one-stop shopping. The have a great damage waiver plan that is very helpful for those accidental breakages during dinner and such. My only complaint with Event Central was with their communication. My consultant was very responsive when I was getting initial information and setting up my order, but after that, she was VERY slow to respond to my e-mails if she answered them at all. A couple of times I had to call in to get my questions answered because she hadn't answered my e-mail after a week. Also, the contract I signed when I came in to the store was somehow lost, so I had to fill out another one just before the wedding. In the end, though, it all went well; we had no issues at all with the rentals on or after the wedding day itself.

  • Could not have put my wedding together without Event Central. They had the largest selection of items, from the tent to the sound system to the serving spoons. For a DIY, self-catered affair like ours, it was a huge relief to rent everything from one place (you'll pay a bit more for the convenience but we considered it well worth the cost). Channon kept in touch throughout the process and cheerfully accommodated all my changes -- very professionally handled.

  • Overall I was happy. My only complaint is that I could not return your linens on a Sunday which created a problem when we needed to leave for our honeymoon on Sunday after our wedding. However, there did not end up being an extra charge for the late return which was a great surprise.

  • They were very flexible with my mom constantly thinking of something else we needed that was not on the list. Everybody there was very nice and easy to work with. The only problem we had was that there was a wedding there the day before that also rented from event central and apparently some confusion on what was whose and we ended up with dirty coffee cups, since the clean ones were picked up with the night before's stuff. Other than that, no problems.

    I am sorry to hear of the problems with another caterer using our coffee cups. In researching our records, I found we did not have rentals any other caterers at the AACA the week in question. In calling Mike Patterson from AACA he confirmed there was a prior wedding and caterer who arranged their own dishware on the site during the weekend of this event. Since our rentals are clearly marked and placed in a specific holding area per the venue, it is hard to know how we ended up in such an awkward situation.
