  • Dana and Elaine Bell Catering made our wedding one to remember. All of their food was beautiful and delicious. We are self-proclaimed foodies and wanted our guests to have a fine-dining experience at our wedding. Elaine Bell came through with an amazing meal. They are also very flexible in changing meals and creating new dishes for your specific tastes. They have an amazing menu to choose from but are also willing to customize everything! We would highly recommend Elaine Bell for any wine country weddings.

  • Elaine Bell Catering is a premier caterer that delivered a flawless menu for us. The style of food is California cuisine - seasonal, full of flavor, leveraging local vendors (hello artisan cheese) and beautiful on the plate. We had several food restrictions and they worked with us on a menu that would provide an outstanding meal for our vegetarian and gluten-free guests. The staff was attentive and responded to any needs that arose. I was able to enjoy the meal, from appetizer through the cake, and felt that the flow was seamless. What more could you ask for? If you want a vendor that rises above the crowd, you could do no better.

  • This is a long overdue review of the best wedding caterer we could have imagined. We worked with Jennifer Thompson and she was incredible. She worked tirelessly with us tweaking the menu, and continued to make changes after our tasting (which was amazing...so much good food...). From the first phone conversation we had with her, Jennifer was intent on making our vision and themes come to life. We wanted Mexican food with a twist for the main course and a selection of hors d'oeuvres that matched our favorite foods. The various iterations of the menu that Jennifer put together were all fantastic. The most challenging thing about working with EB was trying to decide which of the most amazing dishes to include on our menu...(including drinks. who knew lemonade could be so delicious?   • My stomach is growling as I write this. Elaine Bell catered our wedding on 6/14/19 and we simply could not have been more pleased with their service and FOOD.   • As people who consider themselves foodies, we were looking for the furthest thing from wedding food, to the point where we wanted the food to be the star of the show (secondary to us of course). Too many times we would attend a wedding to only push food around the plate as it was mediocre at best (yes we are a bit judgmental). Enter Elaine Bell! Due to being on the East Coast, we had to go through online reviews and word of mouth to figure out who we would talk to. Eventually we narrowed our choices to 3, and set up phone calls with all of them. Dustin was our contact at Elaine Bell and he was flexible, able to work within our budget, and provided excellent descriptions of what Elaine Bell could offer.   • Our daughter got married at the Secret Garden in Bodega Bay, CA. A magical venue for such an occasion. But what made the event truly amazing was the outstanding quality of food prepared for this event. Everything from the three beet salad to the 48-hour braised short ribs, cedar plank salmon and the amazing sweet pea risotto, to the delicious mini chocolate mousse and crème brulé, was of absolute top quality. The 19-member service staff, whether manning the bars or serving the tables, everything was first class. I would highly recommend this amazing caterer to anybody wanting a guaranteed successful event. Jennifer was a star to work with.

  • Elaine Bell Catering was wonderful for our wedding. From the moment I spoke with Liz at EBC I felt at ease and excited to plan our wedding food. We worked with Jennifer for most of our planning and she was also superb! We came up with a menu that was fun and creative and that suited our California and Southern backgrounds and they really worked to meet our budget. The mini chicken and waffles were amazing and so perfect for our wedding! Everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the food. Jennifer also went above and beyond to help execute my vision for our cheese display for our cocktail hour! They sent us home with the cutest cooler filled with goodies for munching on the next day too. I was super excited about the cooler and will be using it for all kinds of picnics in the future!

  • I found them online and actually booked before we taste tested since we live out of state. One of the best decisions I made. Richard was a dream and so much fun to work with. One of our wedding themes was travel, so I was determined to do stations around the world. We had Spanish paella, a taco bar, dim sum, and southern comfort. Southern comfort was for our less adventurous guests and I was not as excited about that station, until I tasted the food. Best fried chicken and mac and cheese I have ever had. The day of our wedding I barely ate with nerves and being busy, so was so so glad we had taste tested everything and it was all, without fail, delicious. Amazing. Having had plenty of work chicken dinners, I was determined some something different and they did not disappoint. Excellent quality of food, and our venue was a barn in a vineyard so it did not have a kitchen, they brought all the infrastructure they needed with them.   • After looking at what seemed like endless caterers, my husband and I went with Elaine Bell for our wedding at the Bently Reserve this past June – and between the food and the service, we could not recommend them more highly. Our catering manager, Stephanie, was incredible. She worked with us tirelessly on our menu, offering suggestions and making adjustments until everything sounded perfect -- and everything we tried at our tasting was even better than they sounded. We genuinely loved every single appetizer and entrée we tasted (we highly recommend the tuna tartare cones and the mini cheeseburgers, in particular). Even better, we found that the quality of the food remained consistent and tasted just as good at the wedding itself, something our wedding planner told us is not always the case.   • In my experience, the food at weddings is always a bit...average. It fills you up and gives you the energy to stay on the dance floor, but usually is not all that memorable. The food from Elaine Bell, however, is not that food. The comments I heard about the wedding afterwards overwhelmingly contained something about how the food was AMAZING. We served everything family-style and had pasta, salmon, steak, and a kale salad. The pasta was a last-minute addition that Dana, who we worked with, recommended during our tasting; we didn't even taste it and decided to go with it, on her word. Just to illustrate how good it was: we had friends telling us they asked if another bowl could be brought out to their table, because they had already finished the one served to them.   • We had a great experience with Elaine Bell as the caterer for our destination wedding. Liz was phenomenal and an absolute pleasure to work with. She helped us with every detail and was onsite on the day of the wedding to make sure that everything went smoothly. The food was fantastic, local and fresh. Our guests are still talking about it several months later. Planning a destination wedding can be stressful, but Liz helped to make the process easier. We would definitely recommend Elaine Bell Catering!

  • Working with Jennifer at Elaine Bell in the planning process was easy-peasy. She was very responsive and accommodating, and I was grateful that she made it simple by including all the glassware, flatware, china, and kitchen equipment in the order. The food was excellent (they have a reputation for this and it's a key reason why I hired them) and all my friends have been saying it was the best they've ever had at a wedding. The team onsite was very helpful and I appreciated that one server followed my husband and me around during post-ceremony photos with a plate of appetizers so we could actually enjoy them! There were a couple of minor glitches during the main course with our personalized wine and food pairings and a bit slow service, but if that's the worst that happened on our big day I'd have to say it was still great overall.   • I have struggled with this review for a long time. There are so many amazing reviews for Elaine Bell and I feel bad telling you that my experience in October 2016 was not very good. Elaine Bell was the clear choice during the tastings/research phase. We had a great experience and loved our representative, Stephanie. On the day of our wedding, I felt like maybe we had EB's B-team or C-team. Our appetizers were not even close to what we had at the tasting. For example we had had a smoked duck on a crispy sweet potato pancake with candied mango. On the day of our wedding, it was just a plain potato pancake (not sweet potato) and it was not crispy. There was no candied mango on top. If it was just this, it would obviously be no big deal. However, every single menu item was different in a worse way the entire night. It was so disappointing.
