  • Effie's Bridal trunk is the best. The consultant knew my style better than I did and helped me pick a dress in my budget. They even popped the champagne when I said yes to my dress! Great experience 5 stars (I would give 10 if it were an option).

  • Everyone was so helpful and really cared about finding the perfect dress. They helped me find something within my budget and once the dress arrived they made sure it was exactly what I wanted. The store is SO cute and overall it was a wonderful experience!

  • The wedding dress specialist ended up picking out my dress. When I first saw it I thought it had too much bead work, but when I tried it on I fell in love! I went back to the store with my mother and friends to try more on as well as to get their opinion on the one she had picked out for me. There were some close contenders but the original pick won! They gave us all a glass of champagne which we did not expect and was a great surprise! I was moving to Ohio the week the dress was purchased and they offered to hold it until I visited in January. I had to get extra length since I am 6' 2". During alterations the seamstress noted the bottom was not cut straight so I had to get it altered so it was the same length. Overall it was a great experience and would reccomend going here.

  • I highly recommend Effie's! I went to two other bridal shops the same day they didn't even compare! They have a huge variety of dress selections and prices. Elizabeth was the consultant that helped me and she helped pick great dresses for me and got me fitting into the samples well. I had a big entourage of 9 and they were very accommodating to my group. Elizabeth ensured that I actually liked the stuff that my entourage kept having me try on which was thoughtful of her lol. They even stayed open late so we could enjoy champagne after I chose my dress!!

  • Great customer service! I had to purchase a dress last minute off the rack due to my original dress(bought from another salon)not fitting properly. Nikki the manager, was very helpful over the phone and set aside a brand new sample dress for me until i could come in for my appointment. I ultimately ended up purchasing this dress. Salon overall had a great selection, reasonable prices, and was the typical dress shopping experience brides look for! Wish i would have purchased my original dress there and avoided all the dress drama i underwent with my original salon.

  • I went to many bridal shops prior to making the drive to Effies to find my wedding dress. The service and selection at the other bridal shops I visited in the twin cities was nothing to write home about. Nothing compared to Effies! Effies has something for everyone, and the prices are honest and reasonable. I worked with Elizabeth, and her service was simply outstanding! She spent alot of time with me in helping me find my wedding dress and accessories and also dresses for my mother and sister. Elizabeth allowed me to select the dresses I wanted to try on in addition to her picking out dresses that she thought I might like. Working with Elizabeth really made the experience enjoyable for us, when it had felt rushed and stressful prior to coming to Effies. You will not get a better experience anywhere else! Thank you Elizabeth and Effies Bridal for giving me a memorable experience in selecting my special dress!

  • I purposely chose to go with an in-person bridal shop since I was hoping to have personal and positive customer service and fitting experience with Effie's Bridal Trunk. This ended up not being the case since I was very disappointed with the communication at Effie's Bridal Trunk. I was told at my first appointment that I should get a size 6 and that I would likely need my dress to be slightly altered. I was hesitant to agree to this size given that it was much larger than I expected but I trusted their measurements and reassurance that wedding dress sizes are much different than clothing sizes. When I returned for my fitting appointment, I found the dress to be much too large, particularly in the areas that they said would be snug. I had not changed weight at all since my previous appointment. The Effie's employee reassured me again that alterations would fix these changes.     Thank you for the review Allyson. We first want to apologize that you felt disappointed concerning the measurement and fitting process. If a bride is in-between a few sizes, we have to consider the shape of the dress and which measurements take president over the others so the dress is able to be put on, zipped up, fastened and secured properly. That being said, we suggest the larger size because it is always easier to take in fabric then take out. We would hate for a dress to come in for a bride and it be too small. Taking in a dress is only one part of the overall cost when it comes to alterations. Dresses with long trains require numerous bustle connecting points which also increases the price. Your dress also has lace, appliques and intricate beading detail that has to be carefully removed for the dress to be hemmed, then placed and re-hemmed strategically so the pattern of the gown isn't interrupted. We appreciate your feedback and this matter will be communicated to our team to be sure the above information is communicated clearly and effectively to our brides.   • Our group recently went to Effie's to look for a bridal gown and were initially impressed. Effie's seemed interested and responsive to the bride's style, desire, and budget and took time to conduct a phone interview, email survey, and browse her Pinterest board. However, the sales associate was incredibly unhelpful and left us alone for significant periods of time. We had to help get the bride in and out of the dresses, find clips to hold the sample dresses up, and the sales associate didn't take the changing feedback into consideration. After trying on dresses in the wrong style for a while, we asked why we were still trying on the wrong dresses. The associate replied, "I'm sorry, you're my third client today and I can't keep the brides straight." Moreover, all the dresses were out of the bride's price range.   • Super unorganized. Every single time we came here they were training someone in and were more focused on that than helping us. I had to help pin my bridesmaids because we couldn’t find our consultant. They didn’t inform my bridesmaids that their dresses were in. They had to be called and asked. BUT they did have a large selection of bridesmaid dresses and I did receive my dress in perfect condition and in good timing.

  • My daughter needed a dress quick. Grooms dad is doing. Had wedding sooner. Picked out dream dress and asked to have sleeves added to top. It was a separate. My sister who does alterations said she would of refused to add sleeves as it wouldn't work. (After the fact) the designer at effies said it could be done but would restrict movement. My sister said they shouldn't of even done it. It restricted movement much more than they said. I understand no returns. But I feel the designer should of been more upfront. Needless to say, 2 months prior to wedding we have a dress we cannot use and have to buy another one

    Lisa, thank you for taking the time to submitting a review. In circumstances when adding any type of strap, sleeve or cap sleeve, movement is always going to be restricted not matter the dress, fabric etc. We like to cater to our Brides and make them happy with their requests. When making a customization, there is always a bit of unknown no matter the situation. If a sleeve can absolutely not be added to a dress no matter the reason, the designers won't offer the option to add a sleeve. We are so sorry your daughter isn't happy with her custom dress. When she came back, we did everything we could do to help in this situation. She did find a gown she loved that we were willing to sell of the rack because of the circumstances. If she still doesn't have a dress, we still do have the dress she found in store and we will still follow through with our promise! If your daughter did find a dress, congratulations and we wish nothing but the best! :)

  • I loved everything about Effie's! I really liked that they had all their dresses out on the floor so everyone who was with me got to pick out a couple of dresses for me to try on. They were so patient and great with recommendations of accessories- in fact it was their recommendation to add a belt to my dress that made me choose it as "the one!" I was disappointed they didn't have anyone to do alterations on-site but they did provide a list of recommendations.
