  • Your team was classy and not cheesy, which from the very start on our visit to the bridal expo at the XL Center, was a tall order. Brittany was a pleasure to work with, and just having her around and checking in on us helped us relax and feel like everything is under control. Very professional.

  • At the moment we booked, Josh welcomed us “to the DJJ family”. And right to the final song of the night and when he gave us our flash drive of our photo booth pics (AWESOME photo booth btw) we truly felt cared for as if we really were family. Client portal could use some work though, sometimes it didn’t seem to like my browser.

  • I don’t normally take the time to write reviews unless something bothers me, but I’d feel bothered if I didn’t write about how perfect these guys are. I honestly don’t know how they do it. Everything was just so customized to my husband’s and my tastes and personalities, I feel like those customizations should have cost us thousands more, but they didn’t! With this company, every wedding they do is unique, at no extra cost! Josh and company made us feel like FAMILY, and not just customers. And our friends and family get a 15% discount off their services if we refer them!!! They’re the real deal!

  • From the beginning, Josh made the process comfortable and was easy to work with. Anytime I had a concern, this guy not only answered the call (he gives out his private cell number to clients so we don’t have to wait on hold if something worries us!) but he had thoughtful and conscientious solutions to put my wife and I at ease. We were one of the first couples to use Vibo, their smartphone app, which let us pick out the music we wanted and not be limited to one of the 50,000 songs other DJs already have. My wedding party loved being invited to download the app and add music to my wedding too. This app was incredible and a must-have that we couldn’t have been satisfied without. On the day of our wedding, our DJ Brittany performed beautifully and kept the party flowing without missing a beat. Simply the best at what they do.

  • We were afraid that the rain was going to ruin our sendoff outside. Josh reassured us that it’s going to be magical and great and he brought some uplighting out there and lined the sidewalk with it. He set them to start strobing at just the right speed when we started walking and he literally made it look like the raindrops were stopped frozen in midair!!! All our guests were gasping. How many DJs do that??? If you want someone who’s creative and thinks on their feet, look no further!

  • Fantastic DJ with unbeatable prices. Great app, and we really liked the light shows on the dance floor. Client portal could have been easier to use, but it is what it is. We hired a DJ and we got a great one, that’s all that matters.

  • The DJ was the only thing about my wedding that my wife trusted me to handle all by myself, and choosing this company was hands down the second-best decision of my life (I love you honey). Josh really knows people. The dude transformed our venue space into a fairytale banquet, our cocktail space into a mancave my boys were right at home with, and our dance floor into a legit nightclub. DJJ brings so much to the table, and the guests were complimenting my taste in entertainment all night 😎😎

  • We cant understate our appreciation for all their efforts that went into our wedding day. You can tell that they don’t put in the minimum required or feel like they’re coming into work each day, this is definitely their passion and it shows.

  • From the start Josh sounded promising, until we hired him. He then began to go MIA on us, from missing Skype calls, to taking three weeks to answer an email. The active collab app was not very user friendly and never seemed to work properly. We did not hear from josh about final wedding details until the day before the wedding. He initially made it sound as if there was a large team that would be working with us and getting to know us throughout the process. That was not the case. On the wedding day josh forgot an extension cord for our outdoor ceremony so the ceremony start time was delayed. The microphones then kept cutting in and out so the guests could not hear any of what was being said for the ceremony. Instead of cutting the mics off completely he let the sound go in and out. He then played the karaoke version of the father daughter dance song so there were no words.     Hi Megan, Thank you for your time and the opportunity to work with you. Your wedding was absolutely beautiful, and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. I especially appreciate your feedback about ActiveCollab, and will be taking it into consideration as we search for a better, more reliable client management system. I'm very sorry to hear that you were disappointed in my responsiveness prior to your wedding. While I take every effort to be as responsive as possible, and have never missed a Skype call with any client, you probably recall one of our phone discussions (two weeks prior to your wedding, not the day before as you allege) where I explained that I had spent time in the hospital due to a car accident. This happened within the month leading up to your wedding, which is also when you decided to start submitting the information we need for planning. My team was present (behind the scenes) to assist with setup and teardown at your venue, and worked to finalize logistics and creation of your music library in the days prior to then, however it's very important to most clients that they have a direct relationship with the DC/MC that will be performing for them, and that is what we had. While none of us can control the circumstances leading to my time out of the office, I must point out that if you began the planning process with us sooner than the month before your wedding, you would have enjoyed the same responsiveness and interactive experience all of our clients enjoy. I'm sorry you did not get the best experience with me, however, when it's looked at fairly, this is not in any way a regular issue with my company or my work. As for the rest of your points, I do apologize that you were unhappy, but there is very little I could control given the circumstances. To be fair, the venue should have moved your ceremony indoors and not "chanced it" with the scattered rainfall that your guests experienced. The rain caused the delay of your ceremony, as your venue was wiping down the seats with towels well past the last minute, which also delayed the delivery of the extension cord (that was their responsibility to provide). The rainfall also caused the sound to cut in and out from the speakers which were exposed to the elements. I have no control over the weather, nor do I have any say in where the venue chooses to have the ceremony, but I fulfilled my contractual obligation to provide ceremony sound to the location nonetheless. I never complained about this. I made the decision to keep the microphones on because the speakers were affected by the rain but the microphones were not. Your videographers were recording sound from our mics, and to turn it off would have caused what I thought to be a more permanent loss of the recorded memories from your ceremony. Without our mics remaining on, it seemed that you'd have no sound on your video. Keeping the mics on was a professional courtesy, not something I ever imagined I'd be blamed for. To be perfectly fair, in regards to your father/daughter dance, this was actually rectified while the song played. The karaoke version was the version you picked from YouTube using our music selection app. While I had no control over that, I was quick to fix the issue, seamlessly transitioning to the version with lyrics, long before the dance even ended. Contrary to your comment regarding blaming you for what happened, we maintain a strictly professional decorum in our company. By that rule, we never put blame on anyone, certainly never on our client. I apologized for the mixup at the time and did not point fingers, but it seems clear from your words that you are already aware of what caused that issue. I'm always very pleased to receive feedback, positive or negative, that allows me to better our services for the future. We serve our clients, and that is why we strive to improve ourselves everywhere we feasibly can. I thank you for the parts of your reflection that help us better ourselves into the future.
