  • You never really expect a place to be this exceptional. Good, maybe great, but so perfect? The entire preparation and process seemed so clear and straightforward, we were 'almost' concerned that they were missing something! Nothing could be further from the truth. The food was incredible. We still hear about it. The worst thing about it was trying to make selections from the incredible list. That said, I imagine you could not choose something wrong. The staff was flawless. They were the perfect balance of attention and discreetness. Each person did their role exceptionally. I've never been at a wedding where I saw so many guests take the unsolicited time to tell the bride and groom how thoughtful and professional that service and staff were during the event - for months afterward too! In fact, the team there stepped up and adapted to a few minor changes we (bride and groom) suggested during the event. No one even noticed the switch. Deity flowed their process to meet our st... • Two weeks before our wedding, the owner of our original venue shut the doors and took our money. We were scrambling about what to do and the same Friday that we found out, I emailed Deity to see if they had any availability. Caio, the owner, replied to me within a half hour and we had an appointment set up for the next day. Despite having two events the next day, Caio and Christine took the time out to show us around and explain how weddings at Deity work. They were an absolute godsend and we would not have a wedding without them. They worked with us and did everything they possibly could to make our day amazing. And our wedding was fabulous. Everyone has said how amazing the food one, how much fun they had on the dance floor (DJ Trama rocked) and how great the staff was. The food wasn't just wedding good, it was delicious and we're still craving it. I can't say enough good things about Deity, Caio, Christine and Jay. We adore them and really can't thank them enough for giving us t... Read more

  • I just was married this past Saturday (3/8/14) and I recommend Deity as a venue to anyone who is looking to get married in NYC or the boroughs. Right from the get go, Caio, Kristine, and their staff were flexible, responsive, and extremely attentive. All of my guests raved about the venue's decor and the overall space as a whole. Being able to utilize all 3 floors made the wedding day that much more exciting. I can't say enough great things about this venue - the location, the space, the staff, the food (which was excellent), and the dancing. Thanks again for a memorable, fantastic day! Chevonne

  • We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Deity this past weekend and it was beyond expectations. The space is sexy and unusual and the three levels all had a specific vibe that was perfect for each stage of the wedding: the upstairs loft where we had the ceremony fit 100+ pp easily. Urban chic with floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed brick, lots of light, plus a serene bridal dressing room. The lounge where we had dinner was sexy with the stained glass, low lighting, lounge seating - perfect for guests mingling and sitting wherever they wanted. The food was delicious - Caio and Kristine tailored their menu offerings to suit our guests' taste. And the nightclub was tops - DJ Vinnie laid a blanket of funk and delivered just what we wanted - a sexy party with no over-the-top wedding cheeze. Caio and Kristine were hands-on every step of the way and brought a relaxed sense of total ease that made our wedding just what we wanted. Only comment: the wait service just needs to take the cake in... Read more

  • My husband and I were married at Deity on September 7, 2013, and I have Deity's owners and staff to thank for giving us the best night of our lives! Deity is a "very Brooklyn" building located on Atlantic Avenue that was initially constructed as a synagogue around the turn of the century and is now an event space (i.e., all they do are weddings and parties). Each of it's three floors has a very different feel -- the upstairs loft space where we had our ceremony and dinner has exposed brick, hardwood floors and string lights; the cocktail lounge where we did our cocktail hour and cake cutting has stained glass windows and a giant tree growing in the middle of the room; and the basement dance floor area is perfect. Deity is an amazing value -- priced substantially lower than many other Brooklyn venues. The owners/managers are a husband and wife, and they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive throughout the whole process -- we rarely had to wait more than 24 hour... Read more

  • My husband and I were looking for a fun and unconventional location to host our wedding reception. We decided to throw a cocktail reception and found the space at Deity was the right mix of sexy and romantic. I loved their chandeliers and the ambiance. The space was great for the cocktail party we wanted with just enough space for socializing and dancing. Kristine, the owner was helpful and allowed us many visits to design our set up. She offered advice and support. Kristine even referred us to a wonderful DJ. We had so much fun.
