  • Pivoting to an in-home wedding/reception due to Covid, we had to hire a caterer with less than 3 months prior to our new date. After speaking with Mary Tawney ("Tawney"), i knew Copper Kitchen was the vendor for us. From the initial conversation to discuss our event/menu to the day of, Tawney, Krista and staff hit a home run. All menu options were clearly outlined, accommodations were made to ensure guest food safety (grab and go versus traditional buffet) and the on-site team kept the stations full and any/all trash collected. Almost to a person, our guests raved about the food (in particular the chicken/waffles). Krista diligently packed up all of the leftovers, and we were able to send food home with some guests. Our kitchen was left clean; the staff was a real pleasure to work with. Due to the Copper Kitchen team's hard work, we were able to step back and enjoy our day, with the assurance that our guests were comfortable and had their needs met. Will recommend them to anyone need... Read more

  • We worked with Tawney at Copper Kitchen for our wedding, and I can't recommend her (and the whole team) enough! We initially picked Copper Kitchen because they were recommended by the venue we had planned to work with. When COVID hit and we had to cancel our big wedding, Copper Kitchen was flexible with us. We ended up renting an AirBNB for a weekend with our immediate families, and we had Copper Kitchen cater the whole weekend! Tawney was so great in helping us think creatively through what foods would travel well and how much of each thing we needed (we brought everything from CK preassembled in foil pans, and then heated it for each meal in the oven of the AirBNB). They also made us a custom wedding cake based on something I saw online, and it was to die for. I seriously cannot emphasize enough how delicious their food is. Even though we brought everything in foil pans, it was still some of the best food I've ever had! Our family can't stop talking about how good the meals were- the... Read more

  • I cannot say enough good things about Copper Kitchen. From the food to the service, they were a dream to work with. Every appointment was so easy and they did a phenomenal job walking us through each part of the process. Their linen and china options are awesome. Our guests raved about the food and the professionalism of the staff (who were all were masked and gloved per COVID regulations which made our guests feel comfortable and safe). But seriously ... the food and drinks were perfection. Every detail was given the utmost attention, they truly helped make our dream wedding a reality. The food and drink options were extensive, they really can do just about anything. Especially during the chaos of COVID, I have to give this vendor (especially Melanie!) huge kudos for keeping my now husband and I calm and reassured throughout the planning process. Melanie essentially doubled as our wedding coordinator. She was so organized and on top of things, we were in the best hands with her. Coppe... Read more

  • My husband and I had such a great experience working with Copper Kitchen while planning our wedding. Our point of contact, Melanie Mapp was a delight to work with. She was responsive, flexible and kept us in the loop with literally everything. She was very detailed oriented (which we loved!). She set up meetings with my husband and I to pick out our table linens and place settings and we found her very professional. Lastly, we LOVED the food from Copper Kitchen. We hoped that the food on the day of our wedding would be just as good the day we sampled it for our food tasting; and it was!!! Everyone said how tasty everything was. The catering staff on the day of our wedding was so incredibly nice and attentive. We honestly were treated so well. Please look no further if you are on the prowl for a catering company to work with. You will not be disappointed with Cooper Kitchen.

  • Tawney and Copper Kitchen were a dream to work with! We originally booked them for a large 150 person wedding at a venue on 10/10/20, but CK worked with us when covid changed our plans. Tawney helped us to switch gears and create a beautiful 40 person wedding at our home. She answered all of my emails quickly and had so many ideas to make our wedding truly special. Our guests raved about the delicious food, and the quality and friendliness of the staff! I would highly recommend using CK for your wedding!!

  • This company is amazing!! My husband and I had to change our wedding plans last minute from North Carolina to our backyard in Maryland due to COVID. Copper Kitchen was the first caterer I called and I did not look anywhere else. Tawney was my event specialist and she put me at ease immediately. She set up meetings for me to pick out place settings and linens, gave me all the options available, and her honest opinion on how she thought they would work for me. Her responsiveness was IMPECCABLE. I had to go on a work trip out of the country for a couple months and she did not blink an eye, all details were still taken care of and she saw my vision perfectly. Also, THE FOOD! I have never had better wedding food. Copper Kitchen came in and took over my own personal kitchen to cook for everyone that day! It was amazing and such an intimate feeling to be hosting everything at our own house. I could not be more thankful for the effort that Tawney, Chef, and the staff put in to make our day tru... • 2 years ago, we met Tawney at a Copper Kitchen wedding event and thank goodness we did!! Tawney (and the Copper Kitchen team) has been amazing to work with. They really listen to what you want for your big day and help create a menu that is personalized to you. I have a gluten allergy and Copper Kitchen was able to make our entire wedding gluten free (except for a few non GF requests by my husband aka donut burgers) and even better not a single person knew they were eating gluten free. Not only are the menus creative and personalized, the food is out of this world!!! Our wedding guests were talking about our wedding food for days following the wedding. My now husband and I are also still dreaming of our wedding food. We highly recommend Copper Kitchen and working with Tawney. Tawney (and Copper Kitchen) will be the first person we reach out to for any catering needs in the future!

  • Was a beautiful experience and I had the most professional staff during these stressful times with COVID. They accommodated all my requests and made my guests feel very safe. Everyone could not stop talking about the food. For me personally, I loved my point of contact who ensured everything even outside her scope of job, ran smoothly and on time! Price included everything from start to finish for food and drinks, tableware, glassware, silverware, linens, bar and more!!

  • Dear Melanie, We are in wedding afterglow! We can’t say enough about how wonderful the wedding was! You and the Copper Kitchen staff made our Covid wedding experience amazing!! We are so grateful that it was you that helped us navigate through this. You are knowledgeable, thoughtful and ORGANIZED! We did not have a wedding planner and never felt the need to have one because you took such good care of all of our needs and questions. We also want to credit the staff working our wedding. Each one was professional and courteous and so friendly! Besides noticing this myself, many of our guests felt the same way. If anything had failed we would have been comforted by the delicious food, from the appetizers to the cupcakes AND the mixed drinks! Each course was presented beautifully and we felt our guests were Covid safe in the way the food was served. Thank you again for being apart of our wedding event!! Ted and Sharon

  • We cannot speak more highly of working with Tawney and Copper Kitchen. Working with Copper Kitchen exceeded our already high expectations - they helped give us the wedding we imagined, including a cake made of cheese (which was one of our favorite things of the day). They do so much more than the food - they functioned as our day of planner (and prefer it that way so that they can run the show). They helped us with day of timelines, implementing personal details around the venue, processing into the wedding, and a ton of other stuff. Not to mention the food was fantastic. We didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding, they were on top of everything - leaving us to enjoy the day and have a blast at the party.

  • Copper Kitchen catered our wedding 2/2/2020 and let me just say, they go above and beyond “catering”! From the very beginning working with Jen Barbier to bring our brunch wedding idea to life, my husband and I were so excited to see CK’s interpretation, and we were not disappointed! Guests gushed over the food, from the passed hors d'oeuvres (can you say mini donut burger?!) to the seated meals (chicken n waffles being one of the staples!), to our cake and my husband’s all of the cheesecakes bar, everything was to die for! They made it so easy to customize all food choices based on our theme and things we wanted for us and our guests. Day of and leading up to, working with Emily and Caroline was a dream, providing us with spreadsheets and timelines which eased my mind and made my little OCD heart flutter. Caroline was our day of coordinator for CK and made sure everything went off without a hitch, and that my husband or I and even our immediate families never went without a dri... Read more

  • Incredible - Emily was amazing and I’m so happy we had her and her staff assisting us throughout the entire day. Everything was delicious and our guests were beyond pleased. Worth every penny!! One guest (who goes to tons of weddings) said our food was “elite”! Emily and her staff were incredibly thoughtful, organized, and accommodating. They made the day easy for us and we are so grateful for that. They took special care of my husband and I - always made sure we had a drink in hand and were served correctly. They also helped make sure our flower girl and ring bearer were fed early. Can’t say enough good things about Copper Kitchen!

  • We originally hired Copper Kitchen for our wedding of 180 and we ended up having a wedding of 12. They were unwilling to give back any of our deposit despite the pandemic, so we ended up spending way more than we would have liked on feeding 12. But, the micro wedding was truly magical. Keeping most our vendors made the day feel special despite the small group, and we had such an intimate and relaxed reception. It was a blast! The bartender from CK was so skilled and friendly. The food was great, especially the appetizers and cake. The servers worked with us to have a low-contact evening, kept their distance, and wore masks on the entire night. Melanie helped the evening run smoothly. Would recommend!

  • Copper Kitchen exceeded our expectations with their professional servers, open bar to accommodate our guests, superb food and our guests couldn’t stop raving about our delicious wedding cake! We got married almost 2 weeks ago and even during this pandemic they provided seamless services, we highly recommend. Felicity is great to work with!

  • We hired Copper Kitchen for our wedding in November and feel deeply misled by our tasting. The tasting was amazing, the food was perfect, and we were so excited to have some incredible food on our big day. Overall, the food at the wedding didn't meet our expectations, and we're confused that we had such a mediocre experience in light of the glowing reviews on here. To be as honest and impartial as possible, I'll give you the good and the bad: The Good 1. The bride and groom's server, Brittany, was excellent. She was very attentive and made sure they always had a drink in hand. 2. The bar services were also excellent. There was never a line and everyone got properly sauced. 3. The potatoes were good, especially the herb pistou served with them. The Bad 1. The chicken and biscuit appetizer the bride ate was cold. Other guests confirmed that their chicken and biscuit appetizers were cold as well. 2. The tamale appetizer was different from the ones we sampled at the tasting. The... Read more
