  • Chris was absolutely amazing! From our first meeting he was incredibly friendly and professional; he put us at ease and helped guide us through the whole process. Having the engagement shoot included allowed us to get to know Chris and become more comfortable in front of the camera before our actual wedding day. As a bonus, Chris is a great skier, so we were able to have our engagement shoot at our happy place: on the ski slopes at Crystal Mountain. The day of the wedding, Chris and his assistant were right on time and jumped into shooting without distracting us from our preparations. They seamlessly blended into the day and provided us with many beautiful candid shots, as well as the planned shots we were hoping to get. As wedding experts, they even helped us with logistics that we had not planned for, like attaching my bridal veil and accurately filling out our marriage certificate (bonus!). We got our pictures back less than 6 weeks after the wedding and were incredibly happy... Read more

  • I'm sure as a nervous bride you have read a bunch of glowing reviews for photographers. But I have to say with Chris, NOTHING is exaggerated. He was hands down my best, and well worth the money, expense. From our engagement session that left us with TONS of stunning pictures to use to our actual wedding day, everything was perfect. He came well prepared, with a plan and several back up plans and made me feel beautiful and my husband comfortable. Worth EVERY PENNY. Stop looking at other photographers and just hire Chris. You will not regret it.

  • We loved everything about working with Chris, from the moment we had our initial conversation to seeing our wedding pictures returned in about two weeks. In that time, Chris was always calm and communicative, happy to give advice at just the right points. We also found Chris delivers tremendous value for the quality and the sheer amount of photos he delivers. Thank you so much Chris!

  • I'm generally not one to leave reviews online, but I wanted to express how happy we were to have Chris as our photographer. He was incredibly professional, flexible, understanding, and had a FANTASTIC sense of humor. We are so grateful for all of his help and for helping to keep us sane during a hectic wedding day! Chris fixed my boutonniere, put in my wife's veil, worked with our families and friends to keep everyone comfortable throughout the day, and was just so supportive throughout the whole wedding. Having him be a part of our wedding was one of the best decisions we've ever made.

  • Chris was the best decision we made on our wedding day. Having someone who is passionate about photography makes a world of difference. He helped us customize our entire day and was flexible, caring, and he made us feel so comfortable and happy. Even when we changed our venue the day before the wedding he was so accommodating. The quality and quantity of service was so impressive. All of our guests could not stop talking about how great Chris was. If we could give Chris 10/5 stars we would.

  • The most important vendor to us on our wedding day was our photographer, as the pictures are the thing we'll keep and look back on time and time again. Of all the photographers we met with, Chris was easily our favorite! He is very professional, responsive, and honest, and we loved that he would stay to capture our whole special day. Chris took both our engagement photos and wedding day photos, and my goodness were all the photos amazing! Our wedding photos were all so beautiful we're still having trouble deciding which to frame, and friends and family say they look like they're from a magazine. Working with Chris was lovely, he had good suggestions for locations for our engagement photos and around the wedding venue grounds, he guided us well to capture the best shots, he captured all the little details of the day I didn't think to ask for, he came early on our wedding day so we could do a special photoshoot at a beautiful spot near the venue, and was SUPER quick delivering the photo... • Chris is so gifted and a true professional. We loved his online portfolio, and as soon as we met up with him, we knew we'd found the photographer for our wedding. His responses were prompt and clear, his prices are incredible for the value you get (all day, assistant photog, unlimited locations, look book, rights to all photos), and best of all, the final result was simply stunning. It was everything we wanted. Chris skillfully guided us to beautiful locations and poses so that we would have the perfect wedding memories together. I want to share another personal story that makes Chris so special. In the run up to the wedding, my dad was becoming increasingly ill with cancer. The date was already locked in on the earliest day we could manage it, and we weren't sure if he would make it. My family came up with the idea of doing a portrait session with just me, my fiance, and my parents. I explained the idea to Chris and he not only drove from Seattle to Milton to make it happen for us,... Read more

  • We were very pleased with Chris' work for our engagement and wedding photography. He really helped direct the shots and organize the group shoots. It was also great to do the engagement shoot before and understand how he works. We knew going into the wedding we would be happy with his work! We also never felt pressured for time & that was nice that he doesn't nickel and dime you like other photographers & we got all of the photos he took too.

  • My husband and I loved working with Chris!! We did our engagement photos and our wedding photos with him. He is so easy going, makes you feel good about yourself, and has an eye for unique and beautiful photos! He was great at communicating through out the whole process. He was professional and fun to be around. He was super flexible! We lived far away from where he was located but he never had an issue meeting us where we wanted. When we scheduled our engagement session the first time it ended up pouring down rain. He said if we were down to do our session in the rain he would be a trooper with us which I thought was awesome he would get rained on for us. Luckily my husband was not wanting to do pictures in the rain, although they probably would have looked awesome. We ended up having to reschedule for another day that wasn't scheduled to rain. He drove over an hour to meet us but had to drive all the way back home and he was so nice about it, even though I felt super bad. :) ... Read more

  • We had the most incredible experience with Chris as our photographer! He made it easy on us by suggesting poses that were very natural in expertly selected scenic locations. The candid ones are the best. The photos turned out to be so much more than we could have ever anticipated, and we are so thankful! Cannot reccommend him enough!

  • He was willing to trudge through water, work in all weather and temperatures, travel long distances, and stay as late as we wanted. He was good at wrangling the kids for the pictures, he was easygoing, and he had lots of great suggestions and tips for good photos. He even has experience with night photography. 100/100 would hire again!

  • I can't say enough great this about Chris! From the moment I contacted him, he responded promptly and was flexible when deciding on a meeting time and place. My husband and I met with a couple photographers before Chris, but we knew right when we met him that we wanted to hire him. He came to the meeting extremely prepared with his pricing, photo examples, photo books, and answered questions honestly and completely. He also had a great energy and we could sense his passion for his work. Chris met with us again to go over a timeline and gave us many pointers on ensuring a smooth wedding day. On the wedding day, Chris arrived to our venue early and efficiently captured all the pre-wedding photos of the dress, rings, etc. His second photographer, Hannah, took pictures with the bride and bridesmaids. She was wonderful and captured all the photos that I envisioned! During the first look and wedding party photos, Chris did such a great job of getting amazing shots while letting my husband an... • Chris (and his partner Robyn) did an amazing job at our wedding this year! Chris showed up right on time and shot photos the entire time. He was extremely responsive to emails and calls, and when we met up in person to discuss what we wanted we found that we were completely aligned with what we wanted from a photographer. He was flexible and very straightforward with our requests and budget and gave us a lot of good tips, even before we hired him. We booked Chris about a year in advance and even with long gaps between meetings everything went smoothly. During the day of the wedding Chris kept us entertained throughout all the photos, helping even the grouchiest groomsman smile in the middle of a scorching hot day. The pictures came out great and he got everything we asked for and more. Chris' work during what was a stressful day for us kept us going and turned out to be the best decision we made during the planning process.

  • I am disgusted with the way we were treated by this man. Mid March when all the COVID decrees began to roll out I began to discuss with him my options for potentially changing the date if forced to. He said I could move my wedding to a weekday or I would forfeit my deposit and first payment (total $1750) and have to restart my contract paying him the full $2500 on top the $1700 for him to provide services. I repeatedly expressed my concern as a health care provider on the frontline and my fiancé’s concern as an epidemiologist on the front line. He continued to be condescending and suggest we were over reacting saying “the government wouldn’t shut anything down” “I know people who work at the hospital and they say everyone is over reacting”. When I continued to point to the contact and ask what would happen if he could not provide services due to the then epidemic, and he kept alluding to the fact it wouldn’t happen and stated I was trying to get a free cancellation out o... Hello everyone! My response is going to be directed to everyone reading this review. I have included a link for you to see the entire email thread between myself and Japrice (http://gendronphoto.com/email-thread-in-response-to-unwarranted-review/). Unfortunately her review contained a lot of falsities. I hate to have to defend myself in this way as there is no other way available for small business owners when unwarranted reviews that do nothing but damage are put online. As everyone has now experienced over the last month, the coronavirus has upended everything. People have lost their jobs and a lot of issues have arisen. This is one of those issues. Japrice was the first bride I had come through when the coronavirus was coming in to play and nobody knew what was about to happen. I didn't know how this was going to affect anything and I certainly didn't know that the government was going to shut down the economy. So I was learning how to deal with this on the fly as were a lot of vendors in the wedding industry. I was starting with my baseline cancellation policy. Since then I have adjusted as I go as well. You'll see in reading in my email responses to Japrice that I did NOT limit her to just weekdays to move her wedding. I outlined that in my first email about it. I gave her the weekend dates I would move it to without any fee. Unfortunately she disregarded my response completely! As for my opinion on what I thought the government would do....I didn't think in a million years they would shut down the economy the way they have and I was trying to help keep stress levels low by saying "I wouldn't think they would go that far". I wasn't going to start jumping the gun and say you need to cancel your wedding, move it, cause a lot of logistical/financial problems, etc. My intention was to just help calm a nervous bride. I never had the intention to downplay the situation, I just don't believe we need to panic before things have changed (at that point in time gatherings up to 250 could still happen) and we knew differently...that only causes stress. I also only said that once. I never kept alluding to it! I only responded to explain how I was trying to keep stress levels low. The other part that is really tough to take is that I answered her question. She never once actually offered up a suggestion for a different outcome. She DID NOT actually try and renegotiate at all by offering up a different option. Not once! Not until the very last email, when Bradley (Japrice's fiance) told me to never contact them again did they actually allude to any other option about paying an additional fee. Again, please see the link to see the entire exchange as this review is not a reflection of how I conduct my business. Please email/call me to ask me any questions about this situation as well, as I am more than happy to discuss it. Chris
