  • We are incredibly grateful for the amazing services we received by the staff at Catering by Uptown. Everything was perfectly executed from start to finish. We had our wedding ceremony at the bay in Pasadena, MD. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff are wonderful. Every one of them we interacted with handled their responsibilities in a very professional and friendly manner. We had a short period of time to search for a venue. The first staff person we contacted was Jill. She was extremely helpful and resourceful. She was in contact with us by phone, email, text messages and sent us all the info we needed about the venue. She made the process of signing the contract so easy and smooth. We only had ten days to plan our wedding from the date we signed the contract, and the staff worked with us and accommodated our requests on such a short notice.   • Planning a wedding is stressful especially on a budget but they made everything simple and worked with our budget to get the venue I wanted. Also they include everything expect DJ, Photographer, and Flowers. Now that I have a date set I can move forward with the extras.

  • There were some bumps in the road along the way, but that is to be expected when planning a wedding during a pandemic. Maddy was our contact throughout the process and she was super nice and always available by email. Veronica was our catering manager and basically day of planner through the venue and she was AMAZING. She wasn't "assigned" to me until like a week before the wedding. But as soon as I spoke to her I just knew she was going to take care of us. And she totally did! We had some weather related issues which she quickly found a solution for. She was constantly following us around with food, water etc. She helped make the day seamless. I would work with Veronica again in a heartbeat. We just loved her! The food was amazing. So many choices! The cake/cupcakes were delicious. All of my guests were raving about the food. The bartender (Melvin) was awesome. All of the staff were so friendly and patient with us. I'd recommend CBU!

  • From the time I first contacted to the last minte of reception, the whole service was an extraordinary. Meseret is very professional coordinator and provided an exceptional service to us. Her personality makes a real difference. Anne, is also very special person who helped us by arranging reservations and touring Schedules. All our guests loved the reception at Celebration at the Bay and I owe all thanks to Meseret, Anne, and others who served.

  • Shonda is the best! Seriously we scrambled for a last minute venue and we found this one. Will come back for all our future events! They are hands down the BEST place to book your wedding!!!! They do it all and our Wedding Coordinator was beautiful inside and out! She made the wedding! I know they don’t ask for it but if you do book with them, please be kind to them. It’s so much work. They do it from the heart. Although their hard work is included, a tip for them would be an excellent way to show them your love and appreciation. They have made your day amazing!

  • What can I say. This was the best day of my life, aside from the birth of my children. The weather held up and our church ceremony was great. But the reception was beyond compare. We are, practically, a month out of our wedding date and our guest are still raving about it. The food was phenomenal; the decor was beyond this world; and the staff personnel were so accommodating. Our original coordinator, Shonda Cherry crossed ever T and dotted every I and due to a family emergency was unable to attend, but left us in great hands. Margo and Caroline went above and beyond for my family. My daughter has gained a friend in Caroline as well. And to think this all happened through a pandemic. I would use Catering by Uptown any day of the week. Everything was perfect. Shonda, Margo, and Caroline were the best and represented your company to the fullest. I am so thankful and appreciative for all you did.

  • If you are a busy professional who doesn't have the personality or TIME to deal with a bunch of vendors then THIS is YOUR PLACE!!! Uptown Caterers own 6 different locations to meet any budget, they have a variety of packages all of which include alcohol; which means 1 family doesn't absorb the cost!!! If your're not a Bridezilla, and working with a "normal budget" then this is your place!!! PS... I can't Thank Heidi enough :)

  • We scheduled a tour of Anchor Inn and Celebrations at the Bay, and Anne was the staff person assigned to us. She was so helpful and answered every question I had. She spoke to me like a friend rather than a sales person which I really appreciated. The company is very helpful and responded quickly to every message. Great value and great price!

  • I had the best wedding!! That’s all thanks to SHONDA and Catering by Uptown. They were on top of everything and the package we had made me not become a bridezilla. I definitely recommend you to have your wedding here. It’s going to be a magical wedding. When you have your wedding ask to be with SHONDA she was the best definitely made sure to make me feel like the most important bride!!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks as well!! Thank you guys for making my wedding the most magical day of my life.

  • Catering by uptown team was amazing. The waiters were professional attentive and polite. The decor for the reception was amazing. You will not go wrong selecting them for your catering services. We had an open bar and they had all the premium liquors. The guest keep talking about how good the food was and the presentation of the food was amazing!!!! I’m so glad we decided to go with them for our big day!

  • On Friday, August 21, 2020 my now husband and I had the honor of having our wedding at the Anchor Inn in Pasadena, MD. We had planned to get married May 1, 2020 but due to Covid 19, we had to postpone until August 21, 2020. We initially met with Heidy, who showed us the Knollview house and we immediately fell in love with the place, we signed the contract the same day and immediately started planning. Months later, we had our food tasting and met with Lauren, our wedding planner. She was amazing every step of the way! Anything and everything we had questions regarding and any requests we had, she was happy to answer and assist. During the Covid shutdown, I was very upset about the shutdown, rescheduling/postponing our day, wearing masks, etc. One of the owners, Suzanne personally reached out, spoke with me and calmed me down.   • Shonda Cherry at Town and Country Ballroom was nothing short of amazing. She remained so cool, calm, and collected with each and every one of my freak out moments even when I was almost drawn to tears. Regardless if she was uncertain in these most uncertain times during this pandemic she remained professional and if she didn’t know the answer to the ever changing state regulations she would get back immediately to me with one and posed it to me in a way that was acceptable even if I didn’t want to accept it, lol. I was just happy to still be able to get married during these times at such a lovely venue and have someone so pleasant as her to assist on our day.   • We had our wedding at the Anchor Inn yesterday, 10.9.20 and just needed to write this review while everything is still fresh in our minds. We booked the beginning of Dec 2018 with Anne Portell who was so wonderfully amazing and sweet. We live in Pasadena so this venue was very convenient location wise and it was an absolutely gorgeous venue in the water. We originally had Olivia as our planning executive but after reaching out Feb of this year (2020) I found out that she was no longer with the company and was assigned to Shonda. So with our wedding coming up, I had to reach out to get the ball rolling. Fast forward, with all that went on with the worries and stress of COVID. I had to continually reach out to get any details.
