I was married at COE November 4th and I had the best wedding ever. It was more than what I imagined before I booked. I’ve spent numerous anniversaries there and I knew the location was IDEAL for a wedding weekend. I worked with Salina and Audra regarding all of the booking details which of course changed occasionally. They have definitely organized weddings and similar events before but you wouldn’t know this by their website or marketing. I only had faith that a wedding there would be awesome because I’ve been out there but if I relied on reviews or marketing materials I wouldn’t know what to expect. My wedding was small (28 ppl total) so I chose to have it on the restaurant deck. There are bigger options available that are just as beautiful! They replaced the usual patio tables with formal banquet tables and removed the parasols and blue tarp that are normally located on the deck. I am almost certain they powerwashed the deck before the wedding!! They definitely pulled out al... Read morel the stops. Of course, COE isn’t usually super crowded in November but I was still worried that onlookers would pop up on the deck as they normally do at other resort venues but the patio is built in such a way that it would be hard to wedding crash and you can’t see the interior of the restaurant from the deck. We chose a plated meal instead of a buffet which was actually cheaper because we didn’t have a large party. I had some guests complain about the food and I think there was some inconsistency between plates. Overall, I thought the food was delicious and simple. Essentially, this was an all inclusive wedding. The full review is on YELP on the same date.

If you want a gorgeous, outdoorsy place, then Canyon of the Eagles is for you. The views are absolutely killer! There are options for indoor & outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Which came in handy as we had rain which moved everything indoors. Jill, the Manager, didnt flinch when we had to move everything that was already set-up outdoors indoors, she just got her and her team on it and made it happen. It was nice to feel like it was taken care of and I didnt have to worry about it.
The catering is only through them, but is surprisingly good. Nothing fancy, but quite tasty. The staff onsite couldnt be nicer. Jill was super accomodating, has a can-do attitue and isn't trying to nickel and dime you. She sometimes hard to get ahold of as she is the Sales and Catering Manager, which leaves her frequently away from her desk.
The following are the reasons I picked Canyon - the views, the fact that there are 62 cute rooms onsite for all of the guests to stay, that you can rent out the ... If you are looking for a true Texas Outdoor experience this place is for you. If I had to do it again, I would pick this place everytime.
