Komlan was amazing! He was super responsive to my emails/calls throughout the process. He was very organized which made it so easy. We had the DJ service + uplighting and it was so worth it! The uplighting looked amazing and really set the mood. He was a great DJ and had songs that made all my guests be on the dance floor. I would HIGHLY recommend him, he was fantastic!

I'm Hispanic and having a variety of Spanish & English music was a must for us. Our DJ (Jordan) definitely did an amazing job throughout the night. I would definitely recommend hiring C'Est La Vie.

It was such a pleasure working with C'est La Vie Events, specifically Komlan and Jordan. Komlan helped us to coordinate our event and was so responsive and communicative throughout the process. He thought of everything and made sure we had a concrete plan for the day of. Our DJ, Jordan, was excellent and gave us exactly what we wanted! He helped facilitate the night with entrances, toasts, dinner, etc. We described our music taste to him and he delivered! Our guests so enjoyed the dancing and the great atmosphere. We met Komlan at a bridal expo. It was so refreshing to speak with him- most other DJ’s we spoke with there were impersonal and were pushy on their sales pitch. Every interaction with Komlan was so refreshing because he was very much wanting to make sure we had the best day and really listened to what we wanted in our DJ services. He was extremely professional and fun to work with. Komlan was our DJ for our ceremony and reception and he helped keep everything on track and flowing without interruption. He had the dance floor PACKED all night long. I know that is always something a couple wishes for, and DJ Komlan definitely pays attention to what the couple wants and what the guests are responding to. He is clearly a master at his craft. You can tell he was enjoying himself too- I think that speaks volumes to the type of service he provides. We had C’est la Vie at our wedding this June to DJ and host the photo booth, and we were very happy with their service! Komlan was always responsive and helpful, and our DJ Bobby was extremely flexible when we had a lot of extra details come up at the last minute. I'm really glad we used C'Est La Vie for our wedding. Compared to other DJs they were relatively affordable, and the DJ/manager were both great to work with. We had DJ Jordan at our wedding, and he did a great job with the music. We introduced our own wedding party, so Jordan didn't have to do a ton of emcee-ing, but he was really great with the music. He definitely kept everyone happy, both older and younger folks, and kept the dance floor full all night. I would definitely recommend the company to anyone getting married in Madison!

DJ Komlan - T'es THE BEST! We knew Komlan and C'est La Vie Events were our choice for DJ right after meeting him at a local wedding expo. My (now!) husband is French and we knew some of his family would be making the trip to the States to attend our wedding, so we were on the hunt for a French-speaking DJ. Komlan was a perfect choice - but not just because he speaks French! Komlan was friendly and professional from the moment we started working with him. He was also willing to accept our lengthy song request list and did his best to play many of them. After meeting C’Est La Vie at a wedding expo, my fiancé and I knew we had to book them for our wedding! While planning, they sent us multiple layouts to guide us through a smooth day of experience. We had a blast at our wedding, and didn’t want to leave the dance floor at the end of the night! Thank you for being so easy to work with, and making our wedding fun!

Our DJ, DJ Bobby played great music and had the dance floor packed most of the night. When he played a slow song and the crowd thinned out, he knew just what to get them all back out on the dance floor. That being said, we gave a decent list of music that must be played and they were songs that you'd go to any wedding and the floor would be packed. My guess is 80% of songs on that list were played. The thing that lowered my rating the most was the number two song, Little Willy by Sweet, I put specifically on the list was requested by my mother and he told her that he didn't have the song. I had to go over and help him find it off of YouTube. What was the point of asking what was must play music if you're not going to make sure you have it. Another thing that I didn't care for was his ability to announce what was going on. Our timeline didn't go quite as planned so that may have thrown him off I dont know. No big deal but then when we did get to it he didn't announce to spin the bride or when to have her toss it. So when she did, the girls weren't ready. It was the same for myself, the groom. I thought he'd actually be the master of ceremonies not just some guy in the corner playing music I picked out. Which disappointed me because I read so many great reviews about Cest la vie and when I saw them at the bridal show I felt I had to have them.

Komlan responded very quickly from our initial inquiry and got our date booked. They reached out to us at key points in the process to ensure everything was in order for the reception. We went with their dj, photo booth, and up lighting package which was competitively priced. Jordan was our dj and he was awesome to incorporate some of our unique song requests while using his own judgement to pick songs to keep people dancing. The quality of their sound equipment is top notch and sounded great. Jordan made sure every detail from ceremony through the last dance was spot on. The large photo booth was a big hit for our guests and Julio made sure it was running all evening. It was definitely money well spent. We are very pleased with CLV.

C’Est La Vie Events did an absolutely fantastic job on our photo booth. Kate, our attendant, was fun and inviting. She gather guests all evening and got funny and amazing photos. Would definitely recommend for your event!
