  • Brides with a Cause were very hands off and allowed us to do the shopping on our own, which I greatly appreciated. The dresses and veils are very inexpensive. They have a small selection, only about thirty dresses per size, but I bought the first dress that I tried on. The had an amazing selection and I was satisfied with every second of my experience.

  • This is a walk in shop, so don't expect to have an appointment time to yourself, and also you may need to share the changing room when you go back out to pull more dresses. So I would recommend going during non peak hours. I went earlier on Saturday and there were only 3 brides including myself, but when I left, the store was very busy. The value is fantastic, most dresses are around 75% off retail, to make up for purchasing samples off the rack which will require a bit more $ in alterations, but for me, dress + alterations will still be under $600, but I did pick a dress that already fit me really well. Maybe I just got lucky, but I found an absolutely beautiful dress that fit me well, that was on double sale allowing me to move over $1500 from my original dress budget into other categories, making me one happy bride! I seriously recommend stopping by this shop, no matter what your budget is, because they have really great stuff!

  • I loved this shop! If going to boutique second hand stores is something you enjoy, then this is a great choice for you. The service was excellent, the ladies that worked there are knowledgeable and helpful. I usually wear a curvy size 6/8, but I was concerned how "dress sizing" was going to work. The ladies recommended starting with a size 10, 12, and 14 just to see how the fit was. I'm glad I did! We ended up going with a size 12 to fit my bust and hips, and there was plenty of selection to choose from. Brands, prices, and the condition were labeled clearly on the tags, which made knowing what you were getting so much easier. I was so happy to find my dress here! And it feels even better knowing that the money is going towards a great cause. Since everything is donated, I would recommend looking for dresses here with plenty of time before your wedding, and checking in frequently as the dresses change constantly.

  • I found my dream dress at Brides for a Cause! I felt very relaxed while shopping here, and I loved that I was able to look through the dresses and try them on without any assistance! They had a wide variety of dresses in my size. I never felt rushed and had a great time shopping here. My sister and I loved this store, and we plan on coming back when she gets engaged!

  • I walked in the boutique knowing I wanted my dress to stand for someone other than myself and am so blessed that I got my dress here! The customer service was amazing and I bought the first dress I tried on. I recommend them times a thousand!

  • I just bought my dress from BFAC after spending days shopping at high-end boutiques. Not only was the selection of dresses wide in variety, size, and style, but the staff was so helpful--all I had to do was ask and they took pictures, helped pin to my shape, and gave advice (I went in by myself!). They had a small space to work with with the amount of girls who came in looking for dresses and did their best to get everyone fitting rooms and make them feel comfortable. Prices were reasonable and tags detailed whether dresses had damage or dirt. If I had a reason, I'd shop there again!

  • As a BFAC employee, I am a bit biased, but I LOVE my bridal gown and I love being an employee for this organization.

  • I have so much love for this non-profit! I live in San Francisco and decided to do a same day trip to visit the boutique. It's definitely not a typical wedding dress store that you see from TV, but I didn't need that experience. If I knew I loved a dress, then I knew. They had a lot of variety in styles and sizes, old and new. I was fortunate enough to find a brand new BHLDN dress with tags on still! The volunteers are super helpful and down to earth. They let you go through the racks but also provide suggestions after learning which styles you like best. They do not follow you in to the fitting rooms, but will help clip you in to get a better idea. One of their volunteers happened to be a seamstress and provided helpful information when trying on the dresses. If you're more local, I would definitely visit a few times if you couldn't find what you liked the first time around.

  • I knew that I did not want a traditional wedding dress experience by spending thousands of dollars, and I am so thankful that I knew about Brides for a Cause. Not only did I get an amazing dress within my tiny budget, but I can rest assured knowing that the money that I spent is going toward charity. It made me feel a lot better about purchasing a dress that I would only wear once - and even better, I can donate it back and it can have another life with someone else! I loved the shopping experience, and it definitely felt special without breaking the bank. I'm so thankful to have this organization in my back yard and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great dress at a great deal.

  • I had such a wonderful experience here. So many great options and the staff is super helpful, but not pushy like some places. I found my perfect mermaid dress, that was already dry cleaned and had a bustle done. Highly recommend checking it out, especially since all the money is donated to issues that affect women.

  • Brides for a Cause is awesome! They have a great mission, and if you have a little patience, some really beautiful gowns. I got my designer dress for only $400, and upon looking it up later, it was originally over $5k. You won't get a glass of champagne or someone helping you in and out of your dresses, but it's well worth the trip!

  • Not plus size friendly at all. Maybe 15 dresses total over the size of 14 and all pretty damaged. The one worker we saw while there (on a Saturday morning) said very little to us at all.

  • Brides for a Cause was recommended to me by many people after I told them I was getting married. I went to a traditional shop first where you are assigned a stylist/helper and had a good experience there but just didn't find "the one". I knew going to Brides for a Cause was going to be a different experience based on reading the website and the reviews I had read. It isn't your traditional shop, however it was exactly what I envisioned. There was no one helping you, you did the shopping and trying on all by yourself. As recommended on the website, if you have a group larger than 3, show up after 2pm. Seven of us walked in and were immediately greeted at the door and was told how their shop worked. I found my dress within the first five I tried on! Some dresses felt more new than others and others were damaged or very worn, again not a bad thing as I was expecting this. I would recommend Brides for a Cause for anyone looking for a dress. I was lucky enough to find mine the firs... Read more
