We wanted Sam to DJ our wedding after seeing how great of a job he did at my brothers wedding. Sam's a great guy - he's cool, laid back and easy to talk to while also very professional and really knows what he's doing. My wife and I really appreciated all of his work - from the phone calls leading up to the wedding to plan everything to arriving early and ready to go on the day of. We didn't give him much direction given other than a few songs but he got a good sense of what we were looking for. He was exactly what we were hoping for during the wedding and we received a lot of compliments after. We would highly recommend Sam to anyone looking for a DJ for a wedding or any other event.

We hired Sam Turner for our wedding at the Dumbo Loft. Sam was really great to work with throughout our planning process. He came over to our apartment for a consultation session several months before the wedding to understand what type of music we wanted for different parts of the evening. He had great suggestions about the flow and temp of the evening, making us think about things we hadn't considered before. During the wedding we was really able to read the room and keep people on the dance floor having fun. He had everyone dancing like crazy and everyone kept approaching us to tell us how good he was. Couldn't be happier with his services and would highly recommend!

We cannot express how happy we are that we chose Sam to be the DJ at our wedding. He was professional and awesome to work with from start to finish. Sam unintentionally became not only our DJ and MC but our POC to guide the event at various critical moments. He kept the order amidst the chaos. Truly an experienced professional. Sam read the crowd better than we could have imagined - the dance floor was never empty. He was willing to work with our budget as well. He put both of us at ease from the pre-wedding planning sessions to the day of. We loved Sam! Music was super important to us and we really appreciated how much Sam listened to us and asked thoughtful questions to ensure we had a good mix of music that we really loved along with music that would keep our guests dancing all evening! We hired Sam from BPM because of a recommendation from friends, and we were not disappointed. He lived up to the hype. We had been told that Sam started strong, and kept everyone dancing well into the night, and he did that for us too. But what was really wonderful about our experience, about our wedding, was that the music was reflective of us. In addition to the "worksheet" we filled out, we met with Sam in person, and spoke over the phone multiple times. Those conversations included questions like: "why is [artist] on the list? Is there some connection you have to them or a particular record of theirs?" And while that felt like overkill at the time (albeit very friendly and fun to talk about), he really took everything we said and used it to curate an evening with an incredible flow; from the ceremony, to the Hora, to music for our parents generation, our first dance, and finally, bangers to close out the night of dancing, Sam kept the wedding moving with upward momentum and helped ... All of our wedding guests raved about the music and DJ for weeks after our wedding. Evidence was the fact that the dance floor was hopping all night and we never left it. All that was thanks to Sam Turner!! He was easy to work with while we planned the wedding and he spent ample time with us understanding out must have songs, our favorite genres and artists, the feel and mood we were trying to create, and any songs our guests would love to hear. Sam's preparation meant we had something for everyone. This was especially important to us because we had friends and family traveling from all corners of the world. Sam was also able to accommodate non-English music we asked him to play and he did a great job of mixing these songs into the more popular/common music he was playing. When my now-wife and I began the wedding planning process, we had three priorities: a venue that felt like us, a good food selection, and most importantly, a good DJ. We were very detail oriented for our wedding, but we knew that none of the other details would matter if our DJ didn’t set the mood. We met Sam through some mutual friends who knew of him, and right away I was confident in him. I can’t even count how many people came up to us after the wedding and said “Who was the DJ? He was SO good!”. And our wedding had 250 people, so this was no small feat. The best thing was I got those comments from EVERYONE - from friends our age to my 80 year old grandmother! Sam was prepared to make sure everyone had a good time and had something ready to get everyone on the dance floor. (Plus he made sure to turn down some of my guests who asked for “Electric Slide”. So grateful for that hahaha). The only complaint we had was people wish we had a bigger dance floor so they could dance more! The wedding was the best day of my wife and my life, and honestly, so much of that was because of Sam. If you’re looking for a DJ who can make the party memorable without making himself the center of attention, look no further. Sam is the best, hands down.
