  • The Blue Tones were amazing and made the reception incredible and memorable!! 10/10. From the mellow jazz during the dinner time to the poppin' tunes that got the whole guests dancing and singing afterward, every single guest had nothing but good things to say about the band. Their attires were impeccable and stylish and their music classy and hip. One of my family members even got up and sang with them, it was just unbelievable! They were happy to cover songs that were important to us, as well as add other songs that were similar in style. They were very accommodating and easy-to-work. Thank you for the unforgettable memories, Blue Tones!

  • The Nashville Blue Tones were so fun at our wedding reception!!! They kept the party going and everyone loved them and are still talking about how great the music was. Everyone danced and sang for 5 hours. Ray was so easy to work with and their song list was super long for us to pick from. I feel like they truly enjoyed playing as much as we enjoyed dancing! So many instruments and multiple singers that cover country, soul, rock n roll, old school, etc.

  • Blue Tone Music was the band for my wedding reception and they were FANTASTIC!!! They played all of the music we wanted them to play and kept the dance floor busy the entire night. We had a crowd full of music industry people who are hard to please and everyone there made a point to tell me how great the band was that night. It was an unforgettable reception and the band made it even more special. Thank you so much! You guys rock!!!

  • This band was awesome. We had a 7 piece band and we were blown away with the quality of music and professionalism. Since you never know how a band will sound when you pick your songs, we had requested the recorded versions of Van Morrison - Someone like you, Louis Armstrong - what a wonderful world, and Nat and Natalie King Cole - Unforgettable. They ended up doing them live and I had to double take because I thought it was the recorded version. They sounded brilliant. The guy who did Louis Armstrong was SPOT on and we wanted him to sing all night! They played a great variety of music and everyone had a blast. People came up to us and told us how great the band was which was so satisfying to hear! Thank you so much for making our night so fun!

  • YOU HAVE TO USE THEM! They are amazing. They knew every song I requested and have numerous people in the band who sing to provide a little something different each time. They are very easy to work with and so polite the day of the wedding.

  • Amazing! They are so talented and create an atmosphere for the event. The Blue Tones played our reception with a 6 piece band and it was spectacular. We had Big Band Music and 40s-50s music mostly and we couldn't have asked for more. It was like going back to that era they were so good. My husband says that they are what really made the reception go over the top. I can't say enough good things about them. They were so easy to work with and tailored the music/musicians to our needs.

  • Mark was our DJ. He is extremely professional. Mark has a great understanding and knowledge of music from all eras; he helped me choose songs and was attentive to my wishes. I heard from other people that he kept the party going for hours after we had left; a majority of our guests stayed and danced the night away. We had an absolute blast!

  • The Bluetones were one of the main reasons our daughter's wedding reception was so much fun! The dance floor was FULL from the first song to the last. One young guest wrote on facebook the day after the wedding that she went home with her feet tired from dancing and her face tired from smiling.....and that our family surely did know how to throw a party! We had a large number of college-age and young twenties guests, and they loved the band. We were delighted with the quality of the music and the sound. The band played exactly what the bride and groom requested. We could not have been more pleased. All email and phone conversation with this vendor was exceptional with all details being handled promptly. We would definitely book them again.

  • Excellent! The musical director, David, was so helpful in planning out the music for the ceremony and reception. He really listened to my ideas and helped create the perfect music selections. Everyone at the wedding raved about the music! The band was so fun, and they did a great job of playing the songs I had specficially requested they learn as well as playing requests during the reception.

  • Our experience with Blue Tone Music started off great. Every conversation we had over the phone was conducted with professionalism and we could sense that they knew exactly what we had in mind for both our ceremony and reception music. They entertained our 'do not play' and 'please play' lists and discussed and brainstormed ideas with us for ceremony music, etc. I wasn't too worried about the execution from this vendor. Unfortunately, our experience the day of our wedding was a little less than satisfactory. The band played music from their iPhone while on break... During their first break at dinner, a Christmas song played (our wedding was in May), during the second break, the iPhone was not put on 'Airplane Mode' and the phone rang multiple times, and text message tones were going off consistently. It was so embarrassing that my husband actually had to leave our reception and run into the band's dressing room to get this situation corrected. From a talent perspective, ... Read more

  • Slightly overpriced, musicians made several mistakes during my processional which was frustrating. DJ played a few songs we had requested not to play, and the wrong version of the song for my father daughter dance..made it quite awkward to dance to and distracting rather than being a special and intimate moment. but other than that the DJ was great and all of our guests loved him. Everyone on the coordinating end was very professional, and very helpful. I really appreciated them.

Charity, We're so sorry that the DJ played a different version of Frank Sinatra's "The Way You Look Tonight" than you were expecting to hear. The version that was played was the classic 1961 recording featured on many Sinatra albums. After reading your review and speaking to you, we did some research and found a slower version of the song featured on "The V Discs: The Columbia Years (1943-1952)." This version was never released as a single and is, therefore, uncommon. We're sorry that you found the services a bit pricey. You were actually charged our standard Nashville rate for the DJ; however, symphony-quality classical musicians from Nashville are paid extra for travel to Kentucky. The classical musicians all reported that the ceremony went flawlessly. We thank you for the positive comments that you made about our company. We certainly try very hard to please. It was also our pleasure to change your event date due to your husband's deployment with the military. Thank you for having us as a part of your wedding day.

  • I was told that specific DJ was coming and he did, however, I was NOT told he was a trainee...disappointing. The trainer left him on his own, which I was not crazy about. I would have preferred to have been asked if all this was alright; in fact, I was told the trainee was one of your best DJ's prior to the event. I'm not sure how a trainee is that good. To me, if a trainee is that good, he shouldn't be called a trainee... but he was introduced to me this way by the trainer and I was stunned. And this being the case, I don't believe the trainer should have left him. The DJ did play the music we requested, as well as traditional wedding games; however, I also requested that our DJ play w/ the guests in an engaging manner and this was not done. Blue Tone Music has an impeccable reputation and I was very excited abt the DJ, after having heard the band performance at the PINK wedding event in January. The band was extremely professional and I had high expectations. But, I felt jilted in th... Read more

Joyce, We are so sorry for any miscommunication or misunderstanding that happened. Your DJ for the evening was not a trainee - Blue Tone Music does not have a trainee program. The DJ, the setup person (who left before the first dances), and your daughter - the bride - all gave rave reviews of this wedding reception. Please see the bride's Wedding Wire review, copied below: 5.0/5.0: "A breeze to work with! Everything went exactly as I had hoped. They kept our guests dancing and smiling.
